2025 NFL Pro Football Hall of Fame inductees include Jared Allen, Antonio Gates
This year's NFL Pro Football Hall of Fame class only featured four former players, a bit of a surprise considering how big last year's class was.
However, these four players are icons in the game, from one of the best tight ends to ever play the game to one of the most ferocious pass-rushers ever to sack opposing quarterbacks. The honorees were unveiled during Thursday night's NFL Honors ceremony in New Orleans.
While there were no quarterbacks inducted in this year's class, these four players were very deserving to have themselves enshrined in Canton among the game's best talents.
Let's look at this year's Pro Football Hall of Fame class and recall last year's class while we're at it, too.

Aaron Rodgers in a Steelers jersey looks as weird as it sounds
Aaron Rodgers in a Steelers jersey looks as weird as it sounds For the second time in his career, quarterback Aaron Rodgers is going to look very, very strange wearing another NFL team's jersey. With Rodgers reportedly planning on signing with the Pittsburgh Steelers this month, the future Pro Football Hall of Fame quarterback will don one of the most iconic jerseys in league history. It's not easy to project how Rodgers will do once he arrives in Pittsburgh, but it's easy to get whiplash from the very notion that this is a thing that's actually happening. Rodgers really is going to play for the Steelers. Looking at him even in a mocked-up image in a Steelers jersey is weird. Seriously, who could predicted this a couple of years ago? While Steelers fans might sell themselves on a future where Rodgers leads them to the Promised Land, the rest of us will just keep up with our head-scratching and wondering why the Steelers chose this path. Rodgers never really found much success with the New York Jets, through factors out of his control (2023) and in his control (2024). What makes the Steelers think this will go any differently? We'll have to see how this all plays out once the pads go on this fall, but the Steelers are taking a pretty big risk on Rodgers in 2025. The sight of him in a Pittsburgh uniform is quite strange, as is this whole ordeal.

Advertisement The elder Woodson currently serves as an analyst for Fox and recently became a minority partner in the Cleveland Browns ownership group. Woodson, 48, won the 1997 Heisman Trophy and was the first defensive player to win the award. He won the award as a dynamic player starring on Michigan's defense who also played offense and returned kicks. Woodson had 11 catches for 231 yards and scored three offensive TDs that season while also return 33 punts to go along with seven interceptions. That performance propelled him to the No. 4 pick in the 1998 NFL Draft. Woodson played 11 seasons with the Raiders over two stints with a seven-year tenure in Green Bay in between. Over the course of his NFL career, Woodson was a nine-time Pro Bowl selection and was a first-team All-Pro selection three times. He was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2021 along with Peyton Manning, Calvin Johnson, John Lynch and Drew Pearson.

Deion Sanders' Prime Effect Grabs Limelight After He Outranks Caitlin Clark
Deion Sanders' Prime Effect Grabs Limelight After He Outranks Caitlin Clark originally appeared on Athlon Sports. It's not like there's been any shortage of major sports stories lately. Caitlin Clark has taken the WNBA by storm, the NBA Finals are ramping up and college football is approaching a groundbreaking 12-team playoff. But even in the middle of all that chaos, one name found its way to the top of ESPN's homepage on Monday morning — Deion Sanders. Advertisement And Fox Sports host RJ Young believes that alone speaks volumes. 'But I really do believe that if this is not Deion Sanders, we're not talking about it,' Young said on his show "Adapt & Respond." Young said. 'When you go look for this story on a Monday morning, it led coverage on ESPN's headlines — which is a sacred space.' Deion Sanders (right) with his son Shedeur Sanders on the red carpet before Super Bowl LIX NFL Honors at Saenger Lee-Imagn Images Young explained just how rare it is for a college football story to lead the charge over professional sports — let alone one tied to offseason news. According to him, it's all the more remarkable given the competing noise from Caitlin Clark's booming WNBA presence and the NBA playoffs nearing their peak. Advertisement 'That top headline? That's everything,' Young added. 'They count reads over there. That's how you keep your job. So they're not writing about things that don't work.' In Young's view, the fact that Deion's offseason coverage catapulted to ESPN's top billing confirms what sports media knew for months now — Deion Sanders isn't just a coach. He's a cultural force. Despite competing headlines, Sanders' name continues to dominate conversations. Whether it's recruiting buzz, player development or simply a social media post from the Buffaloes' camp, the Prime effect clearly hasn't faded — and according to Young, it's still redefining what grabs attention in today's sports world.
