It all started Monday morning (Aug. 11), when New Heights — the podcast hosted by the Kansas City Chiefs tight end and his brother, retired Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce — posted an image on X teasing its special guest for this week's episode. In the photo, the two NFL stars smile on either side of a blacked-out silhouette, which Swifties think happens to look a lot like a certain 14-time Grammy winner.

'92%ers, we're coming back early for a special episode with a VERY special guest,' reads the photo's caption, which notes that the episode will drop on Aug. 13, coinciding with Swift's favorite number.
The New Heights teaser image also features a glittery orange background, aligning with long-held fan theories that Swift's next album will have an orange theme. Plus, Jason appears to be wearing an Eras Tour T-shirt.
But if those apparent Easter eggs weren't enough to get Swifties riled up, the message Taylor Nation posted just 12 minutes later definitely was. Sharing four images of the musician on stage at past Eras shows, wearing the color — you guessed it — orange in each one, the official fan account wrote, 'Thinking about when she said 'See you next era…''
Fueling the fire, Taylor Nation quickly followed that post up with two additional batches of four orange-themed Eras outfits in the replies, amounting to 12 pictures total. (Following 2024's The Tortured Poets Department, Swift's next album would be the 12th in her discography.)
With all of that in mind, Swifties are absolutely losing their minds at the possibility that the singer has new music coming soon. 'glittery orange background, taylor nation posted 12 minutes after new heights, the silhouette is shaped like taylor, Jason in eras merch, a 'VERY' special guest…… what if she announces ts12 on Wednesday the 13th ON NEW HEIGHTS…..,' one person wrote on X.
'TS12 IS ACTUALLY COMING THIS IS NOT A DRILL WHATS THE PROCEDURE!!' another excited fan posted.
'travis looking to his left with his Taylor Smile, jason wearing merch, i can see the bangs from a mile away……but most importantly, the background…,' added a third Swiftie. 'ts12 confirmed to be orange alert the troops.'
Billboard has reached out to Swift's rep for comment.
Fans have been waiting to see what the musician will do next ever since the Eras Tour wrapped in December, tying a glittery bow on Swift's first two decades making music. Pulling in more than $2 billion in worldwide grosses, the trek went down in history as the highest earning tour of all time.
And though Swift has never had trouble outdoing herself, her past few projects have left expectations quite high. Her 2022 album, Midnights, won album of the year at the Grammys — making the hitmaker the first artist to ever win the prize four times — while Tortured Poets spent 17 weeks atop the Billboard 200, the third-longest No. 1 run of any album in chart history.

This is the first time that Swift has appeared on New Heights, which Kelce hosts with his brother Jason. But it's not surprising that Swift and Kelce flaunted their love on the mic: the two have hardly been shy about how much they care for each other, with plenty of paparazzi photos documenting their PDA at events like the U.S. Open and the Super Bowl. Just this week, Kelce gushed over his girlfriend in an interview for GQ. Swift, meanwhile, has brought Kelce into the fold on the Eras Tour, shouting him out as 'the guy on the Chiefs' in her song 'Karma' and even performing alongside him for a special version of 'I Can Do It With a Broken Heart.' Yet the New Heights podcast — the most-watched in the podcast's history at 10 million views on YouTube alone — gave nearly two hours of Swelce content, revealing more about their relationship than ever before. Here's what we learned: The friendship bracelet saga Swift and Kelce's romance began after the NFL player attended the Kansas City stop of the Eras Tour in July 2023. Kelce was enamored with Swift following her performance, and was disappointed that he couldn't meet up with her after the show in order to give her a friendship bracelet he made her — something he spoke about on New Heights back in July 2023. On her episode of New Heights, Swift teased that Kelce 'threw a tantrum' — despite not even reaching out to her management about securing a meeting. 'This dude didn't get a meet and greet and he's making it everyone's problem, that's what I thought at first,' Swift joked. But after the podcast aired, Swift said she started hearing from mutual friends that Kelce was actually a good guy, prompting her to schedule a meetup. 'I was like, if this guy isn't crazy — which is a big if,' she said, 'this is sort of what I've been writing songs about wanting to happen to me since I was a teenager.' Kelce supported Swift when she got her masters back On New Heights, Swift spoke about her long journey to gain ownership over her masters, something that she's wanted for her entire music career. When she received the phone call from her mother Andrea Swift that said she was finally able to purchase her masters, Swift went to Kelce crying. Kelce, apparently, also had an emotional reaction. 'I started crying, too,' Kelce said on the podcast, to which Swift added, 'You were weeping.' 'I was just so happy for you, because I've seen, I've seen how you make music. Swift loves to bake for Kelce — and the whole family Swift joked that she gets into a new baking obsession 'every six months' — and that the Kelce family reaps the benefits. Should 'New Heights' YouTube glitch concern NFL ahead of Chiefs-Chargers Week 1 game?
Taylor Swift's appearance on the "New Heights" podcast led to more than 1 million concurrent viewers on YouTube. The video feed on the platform abruptly ended about one hour and 45 minutes into the stream, which left many confused, since the show had a timestamp of more than two hours. The issue was resolved, but with the NFL and YouTube streaming the Week 1 game in Brazil between the Kansas City Chiefs and Los Angeles Chargers on Sept. 5, it begged the question: should the NFL be concerned about YouTube's capability to stream a game to a worldwide audience that will command far more than one million viewers at once? It's not an unfamiliar situation for the league. Last season, as the first-ever NFL games aired live on Netflix set for Christmas Day approached, the streaming service also faced questions about the streaming capabilities in the wake of the issues viewers experienced during the Jake Paul-Mike Tyson fight. Netflix had roughly one month to figure out the issues and largely aced the test, with hardly any complaints throughout the two games (and a Beyoncé live halftime performance). YouTube does provide the NFL Sunday Ticket Package and many people watch the league through YouTubeTV. But those are premium, subscription-based services with a number of viewers the company – owned by Google – is now accustomed to. (The tech issues for Sunday Ticket during the 2023 season certainly irked fans.) The scale of the Chiefs-Chargers game will exponentially increase the viewership numbers compared to those products, especially since the game is free to watch. A spokeswoman from Google confirmed to USA TODAY Sports that it was not a YouTube issue that led to the glitch. After the calamities of the Paul-Tyson fight, Netflix addressed its issues in connecting its backup servers – utilized to account for the heightened traffic on the platform – with the countless internet service providers (ISPs) throughout the world. Worth noting is that millions of people will be using YouTube simultaneously not for the purposes of watching the AFC West matchup, which could also strain streaming capacity. The NFL would not have handed out exclusive rights to YouTube – financial terms have not been disclosed but its almost certainly in the nine-figure range after NBCUniversal paid more than $100 million to air the first-ever game in Brazil in 2024 on Peacock – if the league didn't think the company could pull it off without issue. Ultimately, YouTube corrected the "New Heights" issue and fans had their "Tayvis" moment. But come Week 1, the company won't have that leeway.

A new 'Wednesday' season 2 part 2 trailer just dropped — and someone is back from the dead
Rejoice, "Wednesday" fans! More Nevermore soon awaits! After unveiling its first four episodes earlier this month, on Aug. 6, the final four episodes will wrap up the darker and more twisted "Wednesday" season 2 on Sept. 3. Today, Netflix gave fans of the Addams Family spinoff a first look at how those last chapters will wrap up this season's mystery — and also explain if (spoiler alert!) Jenna Ortega's Wednesday is still alive after that brutal confrontation with Tyler Galpin (Hunter Doohan) in the part 1 finale — with a fresh new part 2 trailer. This new trailer sees a recuperating Wednesday Addams waking up in the hospital post-attack, only to find that her bedside nurse is none other than Larissa Weems (Gwendoline Christie), the shapeshifting former principal of Nevermore Academy, who dramatically announced her return during an "Outcast Assembly" fan event in Sydney today. So is Weems truly back from the dead? After all, viewers might remember that her character was poisoned by Christina Ricci's Marilyn Thornhill in the season 1 finale. Not quite — rather, she's back to act as Wednesday's spirit guide, aiding the titular teen detective as she navigates another round of Big Bads (Tyler is still on the loose and he's after her and BFF Enid), familial drama ("Every family has dark chapters, Wednesday," assures Morticia) and more supernatural chaos. "If you don't hurry, you'll have nothing left to save," Weems can be heard warning Wednesday in the clip. But Christie's return isn't the only major casting news teased in the new two-minute video. At the end of an action-packed series of racing motorcycles, magical explosions and monstrous encounters, a character can be heard via voiceover. 'Beware," the mysterious voice warns. "There will be a price to pay.' That voice sounds like none other than Lady Gaga, who we already know has been announced by the streaming service to appear in the horror-mystery show's sophomore season. We also know that the Grammy winner will be playing Rosaline Rotwood, "a legendary Nevermore teacher who crosses paths with Wednesday."
