WWDC 2025 is in few days and here is everything we expect Apple to announce

Apple's annual event, WWDC 2025, is just around the corner, and several reports highlight what the company is about to announce. The tech giant has confirmed that the event will kick off from June 9 to June 13. The event, which will be livestreamed on YouTube, is set to kick off with a keynote on June 9, starting at 1 PM ET (10.30 PM IST). After announcing the date and time, the company has kept other announcements a secret so far. But the rumours and leaks have got you covered. The WWDC 2025 may shed light on the upcoming iOS, advanced Apple Intelligence features, an overhaul of the VisionOS and a glimpse of the iPhone 17 are sure that while the software will take centre stage, the hardware may just lurk behind the curtains. Let's look at the upcoming announcement at WWDC 2025 in 2025: What to expectNew interface: Apple's Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) 2025 is shaping up to be more about makeovers than major new tricks. According to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, the company is preparing a sweeping visual refresh across all its platforms — iOS, iPadOS, macOS, watchOS, and tvOS — with a design overhaul codenamed Solarium. Inspired by visionOS, users can expect softer aesthetics, including rounded icons and translucent menus, breathing new life into the interface last radically changed with iOS 7. iOS 26 to replace iOS 19 name: In a move to simplify its software naming scheme, Apple might also ditch the traditional version numbers. So instead of iOS 19 or macOS 15, we could see names like iOS 2026 and macOS 2026, aligning updates with calendar years — a sensible, if overdue, change for clarity across the redesign taking centre stage, Apple won't arrive empty-handed on the features front. iOS 26 is tipped to include simplified Wi-Fi sharing across Apple devices, AI-powered battery management, and even a desktop mode for iPhones with USB-C ports, allowing users to plug into external displays for a more PC-like experience. iPadOS 26 will reportedly gain a more Mac-like experience too, with a top menu bar and improvements to Stage Manager, Apple's multitasking interface. Meanwhile, macOS and other systems are expected to get visual consistency rather than headline-grabbing app for games: Gamers may get a little love too. Gurman hints at a new cross-platform gaming app that builds on Game Centre, adding friend lists, leaderboards and deep Apple Arcade integration, and it'll run across iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple Intelligence: As for Siri and Apple Intelligence, the focus this year is on improving what's already in the works, including smarter, more context-aware responses and a new health-coaching tool. Developers should also expect new tools to better integrate Apple Intelligence into third-party update: And yes, there's still a chance for some shiny hardware, perhaps an M4 Mac Pro or even a sneak peek at those rumoured smart glasses. While WWDC is primarily a software showcase, Apple has previously used the stage for hardware reveals — such as the Vision Pro and new Macs in 2025, with the MacBook Air M4, iPad Air M3, and iPhone 16e already launched, major hardware announcements seem unlikely. However, a refreshed Mac Pro could still appear, given its relevance to developers. There's also quiet speculation about the iPhone 17 Air — tipped to be the slimmest iPhone yet. While a full unveiling is doubtful, Apple might offer a brief preview during the event, keeping excitement simmering for what's next.

WhatsApp To Stop Working On These iPhones And Android Phones From June 1, 2025; Here's What You Should Do

Smartphones To Lose WhatsApp Support In 2025: Beware! WhatsApp will stop working on certain iPhones and Android devices as part of its routine software update cycle starting Sunday, June 1, 2025. If you or someone you know is still using an older model, it's a high time to double-check compatibility. The update, originally scheduled for May 5, was delayed by a few weeks to give users more time to prepare. To continue using WhatsApp, iPhones must now be running iOS 15.1 or later, and Android devices must be on Android 5.1 or newer. This change is part of Meta's regular update cycle, as WhatsApp raises its minimum system requirements. Let's have a quick on the list of iPhones and Android that will no longer support the Meta-owned WhatsApp platform, as it ends support for outdated devices starting June 1, 2025. Complete List of Smartphones That Will Lose WhatsApp Support In 2025 iPhones Android Phones iPhone 5s Samsung Galaxy S4 iPhone 6 Samsung Galaxy Note 3 iPhone 6 Plus Sony Xperia Z1 iPhone 6s LG G2 iPhone 6s Plus Huawei Ascend P6 iPhone SE (1st Generation) Moto G (1st Gen) Moto E (2014) Motorola Razr HD HTC One X Samsung Galaxy S3 Update iOS (If Possible) If you have an iPhone 6s, 6s Plus, or SE (1st gen), update to iOS 15.8.4 by navigating to Settings > General > Software Update. This ensures your device remains compatible with WhatsApp. Upgrade Your Device To keep using WhatsApp, upgrade to a smartphone running iOS 15.1 or later, or Android 5.1 or newer. Affordable options include the iPhone SE (2nd or 3rd gen) and many mid-range Android phones. Switch to Alternative Messaging Apps If your device can't be upgraded, try alternatives like Telegram or Signal. These apps might still support older phones, though their user communities are smaller. Check the app store to confirm device compatibility. Backup Your Chats: Before losing access, back up WhatsApp chats to avoid data loss. On iPhone, use iCloud; on Android, use Google Drive. Go to WhatsApp Settings > Chats > Chat Backup to securely save your conversations. Adding further, WhatsApp is taking this step to enhance user security. The platform is introducing modern features such as advanced end-to-end encryption, video calling, and improved user interface options, which older versions cannot support.

OnePlus Pad 3 with Snapdragon 8 Elite processor launching next week: All you need to know

OnePlus has confirmed that its latest Android tablet, the OnePlus Pad 3, will be launched in North America, Europe and the UK on 5 June, powered by the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite processor. On the same day, the company is also set to launch its India-exclusive OnePlus 13s compact flagship, which will feature the same SoC. However, the company is yet to announce whether the new tablet will be launched in India. The timing does seem ideal, given that last year's OnePlus Pad 2 also debuted around the same time during the OnePlus Summer Launch event. OnePlus Pad 3 will feature Open Canvas, which debuted with the OnePlus Open in 2023 and was later introduced to the OnePlus Pad 2 last year. This feature enables users to multitask with ease by opening up to three apps simultaneously. The promo images also reveal that, just like last year, OnePlus will offer a separate keyboard and stylus for the tablet. However, these accessories will most likely be sold separately. Leaks suggest that the tablet could be a rebranded version of the OnePlus Pad 2 Pro, launched in China last month. If these rumours are true, the tablet could feature a 13.2-inch, 3.4K, 144 Hz display with a High Brightness Mode (HBM) of 900 nits. Apart from being powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC, the tablet could come with up to 16 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512 GB of UFS 4.0 storage. In terms of optics, it could feature a 13 MP primary camera with an LED flash and an 8 MP front-facing camera for video calls and the occasional selfie. The tablet could feature a 12,140 mAh battery with support for 67 W SuperVOOC wired fast charging. It is expected to run on Oxygen OS 15, based on Android 15, and support all the new AI features already seen on the OnePlus 13 (Review) and OnePlus 13R (Review).
