Neighbours star Rebekah Elmaloglou urges fans to rally for soap's future
Neighbours star Rebekah Elmaloglou has encouraged viewers to keep celebrating the soap as cast anxiously wait to hear its future on Amazon.
The fan favourite, who plays Terese Willis, spoke out during the final date of the Neighbours 40th anniversary tour this week.
Digital Spy was present for the last show of the tour, which took place at the Bridgewater Hall theatre in Manchester on Tuesday evening (February 18).
During the celebratory event, cast took the time to warmly thank fans for their devoted efforts to save Neighbours with a petition and campaign after Channel 5 previously cancelled the show in 2022.

Rebekah then told the audience: "Keep doing what you're doing. Keep emailing Amazon and let them know how much you love the show.
"They do all the contracts now, so go to the source! We still don't know what's happening with the show later this year."
Digital Spy understands that this is the first time the cast openly addressed the soap's future on stage during the six-date tour, which saw Rebekah appear alongside co-stars Tim Kano (Leo Tanaka) and Majella Davis (Krista Sinclair).
Former cast members Lucinda Cowden (Melanie Pearson), Kym Valentine (Libby Kennedy) and Dan Paris (Drew Kirk) were also part of the exciting live event.

Neighbours was unexpectedly saved by Amazon in late 2022, just four months after the star-studded Channel 5 finale had aired. It returned to our screens in September 2023 after a year's break.
The show was commissioned on a two-year deal to boost Amazon's free streaming platform, Freevee.
As the Freevee brand is now being phased out, Neighbours is available for free streaming on Prime Video and regularly sits at the top of the streamer's most-watched shows in the UK.
In a separate chat with Digital Spy last week, Rebekah admitted: "We don't know [if the show is being renewed] – we haven't been told anything. Obviously we're all hoping – it'd be such a shame to bring back the show and then take it away again.

"It'd be disappointing for everyone. We really, honestly don't know, to be honest. [Executive producer] Jason [Herbison] tells me, I'm going: 'Jase, I want to buy a house, what can you tell me?' He's like: 'I can't tell you anything!'
"Who knows? We hope so, but it's just one of those things where the bigger gods are trying to sort that one out."
Tim Kano also told us: "We can't put the fans through it again! In all the meet and greets for the tour, they said how devastated they were when it finished. They were actually crying, devastated."
Majella added: "I'd be more heartbroken for them, I think."
Neighbours releases new episodes from Mondays to Thursdays for free on Amazon Freevee and Prime Video in the UK and US. In Australia, the show airs from Mondays to Thursdays at 4pm on Channel 10, with a 6.30pm repeat screening on 10 Peach Comedy.

‘Rose Hill' Romance Series Is Becoming a Show—And Fans Can't Wait
Elsie Silver's popular Rose Hill series will make its debut on screen, Variety revealed Thursday. Amazon MGM Studios is set to develop the show and bring the best-selling author along for the ride! There isn't information on the cast and release date yet, but Silver shared the news on Instagram with her 312,000 followers writing, 'In a true 'pinch me' moment I am beyond thrilled to share that my Rose Hill series is in development for television! I am honored to be working with an incredible team at @amazonmgmstudios and @templehillent. I know that these characters are in the best hands and cannot wait to see this very special town come to life.' Silver will be the executive producer of the show, along with Temple Hill's Wyck Godfrey, Marty Bowen, and James Seidman. Annika Patton of Temple Hill will produce the show, according to Variety. The Rose Hill show's official logline is: 'Welcome to Rose Hill, a small town nestled in the Rocky Mountains, where crystal-clear lakes, iconic honky-tonks, and wide-open skies create the perfect backdrop for creativity, reinvention—and falling in love. In this warm, sexy, and heartfelt ensemble drama, both lifelong locals and big-city transplants discover that love is messiest when it's real, and family is often the one you build.' Untitled Entertainment, on behalf of Kimberly Bower at Park, Fine & Bower Literary Management, brokered the deal, according to Variety, and comes on the heels of Amazon's recent triumph with shows based on bestselling novels. The success of Amazon's 'Daisy Jones & the Six,' 'The Summer I Turned Pretty' and 'Reacher' are good omens for 'Rose Hill's' upcoming release. The Rose Hill book series is set in the picturesque, small town of Rose Hill, nestled in the Rocky Mountains. Each stand-alone novel follows different characters as they navigate the struggles, successes, and steamy love stories that Rose Hill brings. Currently, there are three books in the Rose Hill series–Wild Love (2024), Wild Eyes (2024) and Wild Side (2025)–but a fourth book, Wild Card, is expected to be released in September 2025, according to Goodreads. The series's fast popularity gained attention from readers across the country, making a strong fan base and following. According to Amazon, Wild Love and Wild Eyes both achieved Sunday Times bestseller status shortly after their releases. Rick Moranis and Bill Pullman Confirmed For SPACEBALLS 2 with Keke Palmer Joining the Mayhem — GeekTyrant
It has been confirmed that Bill Pullman and Rick Moranis are returning as Lone Starr and Dark Helmet in Spaceballs 2 ! This brand-new film comes from Amazon MGM Studios, and it was previously announced that Mel Brooks is back as Yogurt. This is awesome because I never thought that Moranis would come out of retirement for this, but he is and I couldn't be more excited! Adding to the cast is Keke Palmer, whose role is still being kept top secret. Amazon isn't saying a word about who she's playing or what the story is, but she's officially on board. The sequel is being directed by Josh Greenbaum ( Barb and Star Go to Vista Del Mar ) and written by Benji Samit, Dan Hernandez, and Josh Gad, who's also producing and expected to star. The producing team includes Brian Grazer, Jeb Brody, Mel Brooks, and Greenbaum, with Kevin Salter, Adam Merims, Samit, and Hernandez serving as executive producers. The movie is described as 'A Non-Prequel Non-Reboot Sequel Part Two but with Reboot Elements Franchise Expansion Film.' So... interpret that however you want. This marks a rare return to screen for Moranis, who's been largely absent from Hollywood since the late '90s. He stepped away from acting to focus on raising his children after the passing of his wife, costume designer Ann Belsky. Aside from a 2020 Mint Mobile commercial with Ryan Reynolds, Moranis hasn't taken on many projects—making this comeback a big deal for longtime fans of Ghostbusters , Honey, I Shrunk the Kids , and Little Shop of Horrors . Gad responded to the news via an Instagram post shortly after the story broke. "My phone has never exploded as hard as it did today. We are very excited! Early days still, but working with the legendary Mel freaking Brooks to make something worthy of this franchise and his legacy has been a dream come true. @benjisamit @cubanmissiledh @ @kevinsalter1 and I worship at the alter of all things Brooks and we are doing everything in our power alongside Mel to make sure you get what you've waited 37 long years for. EVERYTHING." The original Spaceballs debuted in 1987 and wasn't a box office monster as it pulled in just over $38 million worldwide, but it's grown into a sci-fi parody classic. The film spoofed Star Wars , 2001: A Space Odyssey , and other genre staples. It was silly, it was quotable, and it's only gotten better with age. Returning action show with "close-shave thrills" drops new episodes on Netflix today
Action comedy series FUBAR has returned on Netflix with new episodes. The series, which stars Arnold Schwarzenegger, follows a CIA agent who learns that his adult daughter is also secretly working for the CIA, before they are paired up for an undercover mission. Two years after the first season debuted, the second has dropped all eight episodes as of today. Alongside Schwarzenegger, the series features A Complete Unknown's Monica Barbaro, as well as Warped!'s Milan Carter, The Mindy Project's Fortune Feimster, and You's Travis Van Winkle. After its debut, FUBAR was quickly renewed for a second season, having attracted big viewing figures of 88.94 million hours in its first four days of release. Related: Best streaming services Speaking after the renewal news, Schwarzenegger said on social media: "It was really interesting how many of the fans loved the last episode. Because the interesting thing is, it is also my favourite episode. I don't want to give it away, but there is some really wild stuff and it really sets it up for the next season." The first season of the show garnered a more mixed reception with critics, however, earning a 50% fresh score on Rotten Tomatoes from 58 reviews. "This is a fun, fundamentally unserious save-the-world romp with close-shave thrills, nonsensical plots and breezy comic relief. But that's it and that's all," wrote the Financial Times. Related: The Evening Standard added: "It's fairly standard fare which is a perfectly acceptable vehicle for Arnie coming back, but which also feels a little bit like a wasted opportunity."
