ORLANDO, Fla. - Two people were hospitalized as trauma alerts following a three-vehicle crash Wednesday on West International Speedway Boulevard near Clyde Morris Boulevard, officials said.
Daytona Beach Fire Department crews responded to the scene and found one vehicle overturned with two occupants trapped inside. Firefighters stabilized the vehicle and extricated the victims while providing medical care, authorities said.
Volusia County EMS transported both patients to a local hospital as trauma alerts.
The Daytona Beach Police Department is investigating the cause of the crash.

Significant debris was strewn in the roadway and a second vehicle involved in the crash, a red Chevrolet Blazer with extensive damage and airbag deployment, was located about 150 yards north of the black pickup truck. The second vehicle was also only occupied by the driver at the time of the crash. KISSIMMEE, Fla. - A man was killed in a crash in Osceola County after his car went into a retention pond on Friday morning, according to troopers. What we know The Florida Highway Patrol responded around 6:15 a.m. on Waters Edge Drive near Blue Bayou Drive, just south of Lost Creek Court in Kissimmee. According to troopers, a 23-year-old Kissimmee man was driving a 2017 Mitsubishi Lancer southbound on Waters Edge Drive when he lost control while navigating a curve and overturned into a nearby pond. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Both directions of Waters Edge Drive have been shut down as troopers conduct an investigation. What we don't know Officials have not released the man's identity. One person is dead and another is hurt following a crash in Volusia County Friday morning, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. What we know Troopers reported that the crash occurred shortly after 7 a.m. at the intersection of State Road 415 and Fort Smith Boulevard in Osteen. According to a news release, a 2016 Ford Fusion was attempting to make a left turn to travel northbound on SR 415 when it entered the direct path of a 2017 Harley-Davidson motorcycle. As a result, the two vehicles collided. The motorcyclist, a 60-year-old man from Ormond Beach, was transported to a local hospital, where he later died from his injuries. The driver of the Ford was also taken to the hospital with serious injuries. The intersection was closed for hours for an investigation. It has since reopened.
