MOUNT CLEMENS, Mich. (FOX 2) - A teen from Roseville was charged in the alleged armed robbery of a victim on a minibike in Mount Clemens which took place on May 7.
Timeline
According to authorities, it is alleged that a 17-year-old pulled out a firearm and pointed it towards the victim, who was on a mini-bike. Police say the teen then threatened to use the weapon on the victim unless the victim gave the minibike to the armed suspect.
The teen eventually got the mini-bike, and then put it into his Chevy Trax automobile and drove away.
Officials say Macomb County Sheriffs were called out to the area and were told about the Chevy Trax, eventually finding it, leading to a chase.
The police chase resulted in a crash between the Sheriff's vehicle and the Chevy Trax where the suspected teen was arrested.
The victim's minibike was returned, and the firearm used by the juvenile turned out to be a pneumatic airsoft gun that resembled a Glock.

The Macomb County Prosecutor's Office has decided to charge the 17-year-old with the following:
Count 1: Robbery - Armed, a felony punishable for life or any number of years.
Count 2: Weapons Felony Firearm - Pneumatic Gun, a felony punishable with a two-year mandatory prison sentence served consecutively.
Count 3: Fleeing Police Officer - Third Degree, a felony punishable up to five years.
Count 4: Assault With A Dangerous Weapon, a felony punishable up to five years.
Count 5: Malicious Destruction of Fire or Police Property, a felony punishable up to four years.
Count 6: Operating - No License/Multiple Licenses, a 93-day misdemeanor.
The suspected teen was arraigned and was given a set bond of $50,000 cash/surety.

Both were taken into custody. The 17-year-old has been charged with felon in possession of a firearm, felon in possession of ammunition and resisting an officer without violence. House was charged with attempted second-degree murder, aggravated battery great bodily harm or deadly weapon firearm, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, felon in possession of a firearm, felon in possession of ammunition and resisting an officer without violence. California gun control bill that could ban popular Glock pistol sales moves forward
( — A bill that could ban the sale of the most popular handgun in the U.S. is potentially on its way to becoming law after it passed through the California State Assembly on Tuesday. Assembly Bill 1127, also referred to by many people as the Glock Ban Bill, was authored by Jesse Gabriel (D-Encino) and would prohibit licensed firearms dealers from selling guns that can be 'easily converted by hand or with common household tools' into a machine gun. Although the Glock isn't specifically mentioned in the written legislation, it falls into that category of firearms. New gun laws won't be enforced by Sutter County Sheriff's Office 'I am pleased to be presenting AB 1127, which will protect communities from mass shootings and gun violence by encouraging gun manufacturers to prevent the conversion of their firearms to dangerous automatic weapons,' Gabriel said during an Assembly Standing Committee hearing. He continued, 'Automatic weapons are exceptionally lethal and capable of firing hundreds of rounds per minute. They are illegal in California. Unfortunately, some semi-automatic firearms feature a dangerous design flaw that allows them to be converted to fully automatic weapons through an attachment of a cheap and easy-to-use device, known as a switch.' AB 1127 is supported by organizations like Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America, Everytown for Gun Safety Action Fund, and Voices for Progress. However, other groups such as the National Association for Gun Rights and Gun Owners of California Inc. are in opposition. 'AB 1127 is a blatant attack on your right to own one of the most common self-defense firearms in America,' Gun Owners of California said on social media before the bill passed through the Assembly. 'This bill targets semiautomatic pistols used by millions of law-abiding gun owners—and it's being pushed under the false pretense of 'safety'.' NAGR vowed to fight back against the proposed legislation. 'California (is) pushing rapidly towards a total ban of Glock pistols,' NAGR said on social media. 'The most popular firearm in the country. After 9K domestic violence calls in 2 years, Warren PD unveils Operation Cycle Break

A new program, Operation Cycle Break, gives support to survivors Police now has to follow up on reports in person instead of by phone. WARREN, Mich. (FOX 2) - Warren police have responded to over 9,000 calls related to domestic violence in the past two years. "We've learned that a clear majority of cases in our city have had a domestic violence nexus - including many of our homicides," said Warren PD Commissioner Eric Hawkins. Dig deeper Domestic violence is a crime that's often underreported and often a generational, vicious cycle."Children who grow up in an abusive home often learn to accept those patterns of behavior," said Dr. Sharman Davenport, Turning Pointe Macomb. "They either use anger and abuse as a way of coping and controlling their world, or in other cases, they may become the victim, because that's what they've seen." "How can we break the cycle? That's where we came up with this name," Hawkins said. It is called Operation Cycle Break — uniting police, prosecutors, judges, researchers at Wayne State University and counselors at Turning Point to tackle domestic violence. The help provides everything from ensuring survivors have immediate support, to making mandatory counseling a bail condition. "We've never seen anything like this, I've never seen anything like this," said Chief Judge John Chmura, 37th District Court. "And I don't know of any court that's done anything like this in my 29 years in the bench," In the past when police would follow up on reports of domestic violence, it would just be through a phone call. Now with Operation Cycle Break, they are meeting in person. "It's going to change the way they approach domestic violence cases and it will really help survivors feel important," said Dr. Davenport. "They'll feel what's going on with them is a crime and that somebody's willing to step up and do something about it." They say it has already seen positive results. Since the initiative launched around 30 days ago, the city has seen more warrant requests granted, enrolled 20 defendants into counseling — and reached 37 survivors who may have previously slipped through the cracks. "This will make a huge difference in the lives of survivors in Warren," Davenport said. "Because now they will have the opportunity to be heard and make sure their cases move forward."
