Jamie Vardy makes decision on Leicester exit after relegation 's*** show'
Jamie Vardy has fuelled speculation that he will leave Leicester City byblasting himself, teammates and the club following their relegation from the Premier League.
Leicester lost 1-0 at the King Power to Liverpool on Sunday, a result that leaves the Reds on the verge of becoming champions and condemns the Foxes to relegation.
It's been a dismal campaign for the club whose form got even worse after Manchester United legend Ruud van Nistelrooy was appointed to replace Steve Cooper in November.
The future of the manager and his squad is now up in the air, with reports claiming that nearly every player will be up for sale in the summer.
Among those who could depart is Vardy, who joined Leicester in 2012 and famously fired them to the Premier League title in 2016 and the FA Cup in 2021.
Only two players have made more appearances and scored more goals for the Foxes than the former England striker, finding the back of the net 198 times in 487 games.
And with seven goals, he is Leicester's top scorer in the Premier League this season, despite turning 38 in January.
Addressing supporters on Monday, a furious Vardy posted on Instagram: 'At this point I don't even know what to say. No words I have can ever express my feelings of anger and sadness with the way this season has gone. There are no excuses.
'Collectively, as players and as a club, we failed. There is simply no hiding, and I refuse to entertain any suggestion of doing so.
'Having been at this club for so long, we've experienced so many highs and successes – and this season has been nothing but miserable and for me personally, a total embarrassment. https://www.instagram.com/p/DIthuUzol9H/?hl=en&img_index=1
'It hurts, and I know you're feeling it too. To the fans: I'm sorry. Sorry we haven't performed and sorry we end the 2025 season with such a s**t show.'
With his contract up in the summer, many have wondered whether this is Vardy's last season at the King Power, but The Sun report that he is yet to decide on his future.
It is said the decision will also depend on what Van Nistelrooy or his potential replacement thinks but the veteran striker has decided one thing: If he leaves, he will not join another English club.
There is interest in Vardy, who also played for Stocksbridge Park Steels, Halifax Town and Fleetwood Town, from MLS teams in the USA.
Speaking on his podcast, Man Utd legend Gary Neville backs this thinking from Vardy, saying the ex-Three Lions star has three options: 'He either stays at Leicester for next season, goes abroad, or completely goes [retires].
'I can't see Jamie Vardy playing for anyone else in the Championship and I don't see him being signed by another Premier League club.

Eberechi Eze gets on his bike as England's World Cup preparations heat up
Eberechi Eze has opened up on the punishing training sessions at England's warm-weather camp here that Thomas Tuchel believes will prepare the players for the heat of the World Cup next summer. Tuchel and his squad are at the exclusive Camiral Golf & Wellness resort, partly to prepare for the qualifier against Andorra in Barcelona on Saturday. But the focus since Monday has been to look at the bigger picture, which has involved monitoring the reaction of the players to extreme temperatures – with the help of biometric tablets and innovative sports-science methods. The players have been asked to take a tablet and cycle for 45 minutes at a consistent level inside a tent that has been heated to a minimum of 35C. The Football Association's experts have been able to track their core body temperatures under stress – with the idea being that it will inform how they manage them at the finals in the US, Canada and Mexico. Eze, who finished the domestic season on a high with the winner for Crystal Palace in the FA Cup final against Manchester City, said it was the first time he had seen such an approach in training. 'It was quite difficult to do,' he said. 'It was taking the tablets and you had to be on the bike for 45 minutes, which is a long time to be on a bike. 'You had to keep going and they monitored your heart rate, your actual temperature. It was just understanding and it was definitely helpful … a bit of an insight into yourself and how you will cope in those situations.' Cole Palmer, the Chelsea midfielder, said: 'It was tough. It was 35C, 36C inside the tents and we had to get to a certain watts [level] on the bike and maintain it. For 45 minutes.' Eze has been on fire since he scored his first England goal in the 3-0 victory against Latvia in late March, which was Tuchel's second game in charge. The first was the 2-0 win against Albania three days before. Tuchel has talked about the goal having inspired Eze, who went back to Palace and finished the season with nine in 13 matches. The one that will always be remembered was against City to secure Palace's first major trophy and a place in the Europa League, although there is a complication on that front because of the majority stake that the club's co-owner, John Textor, holds in Lyon. The Ligue 1 club have also qualified for the Europa League. Uefa's rules forbid individuals from being involved with more than one club in the same competition to avoid conflicts of interest. Forward Delap joins Chelsea ahead of Club World Cup
June 4 (Reuters) - Forward Liam Delap has joined Chelsea on a six-year contract ahead of this month's Club World Cup, leaving Ipswich Town after they were relegated from the Premier League, the West London side said on Wednesday. Media reports say Chelsea signed the 22-year-old in a deal worth 30 million pounds ($40.66 million). The Winchester-born former Manchester City player helps plug a forward shortage at Chelsea before the Club World Cup, with Nicolas Jackson, who scored 10 league goals this season, being the only prominent forward available. Sir Dave Brailsford set for reduced role at Manchester United after reshuffle
Brailsford has played a major part since Ratcliffe secured his stake in United in February 2024, stepping down as team principal of the Ineos Grenadiers cycling team to take charge of footballing operations at Old Trafford and investing considerable time and energy in driving change at the club. But after a season in which United finished 15th, their worst Premier League finish, and lost the Europa League final to Tottenham, Ratcliffe is planning a shake-up which will see Brailsford return to his role as director of sport for the wider Ineos group, as first reported by The Times. Under the plans, Jason Wilcox – currently United's technical director – will reportedly be named director of football, and former Tour de France winner and Olympic champion Geraint Thomas is set to take on a leadership role with the Grenadiers when he retires as a rider at the end of the year. Brailsford, 61, has overseen a major overhaul of United's operations, including a £50million redevelopment of the Carrington training ground. Ratcliffe has scaled back some of Ineos's sporting commitments, terminating its sponsorship of the New Zealand rugby team and ending his bid to win the America's Cup. However, Ratcliffe remains committed to the cycling team, who no longer hold the dominant position they did when winning the Tour de France in seven out of eight editions between 2012 and 2019. Thomas, 39, has said he will retire after the Tour of Britain in September.
