In a significant development from last month, the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) signed a Licensing Agreement for Transfer of Technology (LAToT) with NIBE Limited for the Pinaka Multi Barrel Rocket Launcher (MBRL) and the Battery Command Post (BCP), as per a report by ANI news agency.
The agreement aims to strengthen the industrial base for the development and manufacturing of indigenous defence equipment.
In a post on X, DRDO stated, 'In an effort to enhance the industrial base in development and manufacturing of indigenous defence equipment, Armament Research & Development Establishment (ARDE), DRDO signed Licensing Agreement for Transfer of Technology(LAToT) of Pinaka Multi Barrel Rocket Launcher (MBRL) and Battery Command Post (BCP) with M/s NIBE Limited, Pune.'
