Fabio Wardley delivers stunning comeback knockout out of nowhere to beat Justis Huni to became WBA interim heavyweight champion in hometown fight at Portman Road
Fabio Wardley delivered a stunning knockout blow on Justis Huni to become the WBA interim heavyweight champion at his homecoming fight in Ipswich. The Brit was trailing Huni on the scorecards but sent him tumbling with a remarkable right hand in the 10th round at Ipswich Town's Portman Road and could now face the winner of Oleksandr Usyk and Daniel Dubois. The thumping punch sent the 20,000 crowd crazy and Wardley celebrated wildly after the referee waved the fight off. Huni, who had boasted an unbeaten record, replaced Jarrell Miller with just five weeks notice and appeared to be in complete control of the fight. Wardley's lip was cut in the seventh round and he was clearly behind entering the final rounds. But the 30-year-old from Ipswich dramatically stole victory with a perfect punch, sending Huni to the floor. WHAT JUST HAPPENED‼️ FABIO WARDLEY KNOCKS JUSTIS HUNI OUT!! 😱🤯 #WardleyHuni | Live Now on DAZN — DAZN Boxing (@DAZNBoxing) June 7, 2025 The Brit was trailing Huni on the scorecards but sent him tumbling with a remarkable right hand Speaking to DAZN after the fight, he said: 'Before we say anything, I just want to say a huge thank you to everyone in this building tonight. I've been on this weird and wonderful journey in boxing and I wouldn't be here without you. This isn't just for me, it's for all of you. 'I don't profess to being any Usyk or Justis Huni who has all the skills, but I know how to win fights and that's one thing I knew I had to do tonight. 'Justis Huni is a great operator. We'd drilled everything over and over again. I should've performed better in some of those rounds. 'He's a great boxer, some great skills and he showed me everything he had tonight. I didn't expect to bank rounds like that with Justis. 'I hurt him a bit in the first round and maybe I had too much confidence early on.' Huni said: 'That's my curse. I even said before this fight it only takes one second to switch off, it happened tonight. I'm grateful to Fabio and his team and to Ipswich to be able to perform in front of you. Get behind him, he's going to do great things. 'He's just an awesome fighter. He never gave up and he got the win, he deserves it. Thank you Ipswich for the opportunity to perform here, I'm grateful. The 30-year-old from Ipswich could now face the winner of Oleksandr Usyk and Daniel Dubois Asked if Wardley could face Usyk or Dubois, promoter Frank Warren said: 'After that fight, it will settle the heavyweight division now to know who will be the mandatories. 'He is there. He's going to take a bit of time out now. Let the dust settle. He's in the position and he's done that through sheer grit, sheer hear.' He added: 'Eat your heart out Deontay Wilder, that was a Deontay Wilder moment. He's got a big heart, he's a powerful man and again, he stopped another one.

Diana star Emma Corrin swaps A-list Rami for stage sidekick Zachary Hart... and who should they bump into but Sherlock star Benedict Cumberbatch
Sharing a tender kiss in the sunshine, these exclusive pictures prove Emma Corrin has moved on after splitting from Hollywood star Rami Malek. Just two months after The Mail on Sunday revealed the A-listers had separated, Corrin – who found fame playing Princess Diana in Netflix hit The Crown – has been spotted looking cosy with another actor, up-and-coming Zachary Hart. The pair, who appeared together on stage earlier this year in a production of Anton Chekov's The Seagull, were rumoured to have struck up a relationship following the play – and these pictures show them together for the first time as they took a romantic stroll in North London with Hart's dog, Spencer. Corrin, 29, who wore a simple blue vest and jeans for the outing, even appeared to introduce Zachary to Benedict Cumberbatch, whom the couple bumped into on their walk. Corrin looked delighted to see the Sherlock star, who was carrying a football and had his arm in a sling. He would not have needed any of his on-screen detective skills to note that the pair already looked very happy in each other's company. The pair, who appeared together on stage earlier this year in a production of Anton Chekov's The Seagull, were rumoured to have struck up a relationship following the play It is understood that since appearing in the production at London's Barbican theatre – which also starred Oscar winner Cate Blanchett – they have been enjoying a 'very low-key' relationship away from the public eye It is understood that since appearing in the production at London's Barbican theatre – which also starred Oscar winner Cate Blanchett – they have been enjoying a 'very low-key' relationship away from the public eye. The pictures taken this week certainly suggest they are keeping things casual. Rising star Hart, 35 – who had a brief role in the last series of Apple TV+ espionage drama Slow Horses – appeared to have done some shopping with Corrin, and was seen helping the star put some bags into a car boot. They then enjoyed a brief kiss before apparently heading back to the £5 million home Corrin shared with Bohemian Rhapsody star Malek. Hart is currently performing in Stereophonic, a play about a 1970s rock band on at London's Duke of York Theatre. The pair enjoyed a brief kiss before apparently heading back to the £5 million home Corrin shared with Bohemian Rhapsody star Malek Corrin, 29, who is non-binary and uses they/them pronouns, has previously said their role in The Crown which catapulted them to superstardom both 'changed their life' while also the 'greatest warning' about fame Cumberbatch would not have needed any of his on-screen detective skills to note that the pair already looked very happy in each other's company Corrin and Malek, who won an Oscar for his role as Freddy Mercury in the Queen biopic, had been together for almost two years with Malek even working with a leading jeweller to design a 'special ring to mark his commitment to Emma' last summer, this newspaper understands. Despite a flurry of red carpet appearances, the couple were notoriously private about their relationship. In a magazine interview last May, Corrin declined to speak about Malek at all. Even less is known about Hart, or about his relationship with Corrin, who will next be seen in a new Netflix adaptation of Jane Austen's Pride And Prejudice.

Daisy May Cooper surprises fans as BBC comedy star reveals her ‘real name' in throwback snap
THIS Country actress Daisy May Cooper has surprised fans after revealing her "real name" in a throwback snap. The comedy star has always been known by the surname Cooper since her rise to stardom but in a throwback Instagram post, she has revealed that she isn't actually legally Cooper. 6 6 Instead, Daisy May's surname is Weston. This is the surname of her ex-husband, Will Weston, whom she wed in 2019. Despite the pair splitting in 2021, she appears to have legally retained his last name. The throwback snap in question was about the day that Daisy gave birth to her third child last year with new partner, Anthony Huggins. The snap was of Daisy's hospital visit to give birth to her son Benji in which her full name - Daisy May Weston - could be seen written on the board behind her. The Sun exclusively revealed earlier this year that Daisy and Anthony were secretly engaged. Despite retaining her ex-hubby's last name, it seems that Daisy is ready to move on and acquire a new one. The couple first met on dating app Hinge. A source said in February of this year: "Daisy and Anthony are madly in love with each other and are a success story for dating apps. "Their relationship has gone from strength to strength and already have a baby boy together. Emotional Daisy May Cooper breaks down in floods of tears live on Loose Women "It felt the natural step for them both, and their friends and family are made up for them." Best BBC comedies A BBC boss called on the industry to "save our sitcoms", but the corporation has a history of fantastic shows. We look back at some of the best to ever grace the screen. Fawlty Towers (1975-1979) - Only two series were made of the beloved institution. However, the cultural impact of the series starring John Cleese and Connie Booth spans decades. It follows rude and intolerant Basil Fawlty (Cleese) as he attempts to improve the reputation of his hotel. Only Fools and Horses (1981-2003) - The show was crowned by some as the best British sitcom of all time by a TV poll in 2004. Seven series were broadcast on BBC until 1991 with additional sporadic Christmas specials airing until 2003. Sir David Jason starred as ambitious market trader Derek "Del Boy" Trotter whilst Nicholas Lyndhurst played his younger half-brother Rodney. Set in working-class Peckham in south-east London, it follows the highs and lows of the lives of the Trotters', in particular their brazen attempts to get rich. Blackadder (1983 - 1989) - Four series were made of the iconic show, created by Richard Curtis and Rowan Atkinson. Each series spans a different historical period as anti-hero Edmund Blackadder (Atkinson) tries to better himself in each society. Accompanied by his dogsbody Baldrick (Tony Robinson), trouble always ensues. A TV poll in 2004 found that Blackadder was voted the second-best British sitcom of all time Absolutely Fabulous (1992 - 2012) - Jennifer Saunders and Joanna Lumley star as failing PR guru Edina 'Eddie' Monsoon and alcoholic fashionista Patsy Stone. The pair embark on heavy-drinking sessions and abuse drugs in a desperate attempt to stay 'hip'. Eddie constantly chases bizarre fads and fails to lose weight whilst her disappointed and neglected daughter Saffy (Julia Sawalha) looks on. Little Britain (2003 - 2006) - The premise is simple. A sketch show which features different British people from all walks of life that are engaged in all sorts of comical scenarios. Starring Matt Lucas and David Walliams, the pair created iconic pop culture characters. Viewers loved obnoxious council estate teenager Vicky Pollard, morbidly obese scrounger Bubbles Devere, slimming coach Marjorie Dawes, despondent office worker Carol Beer, disgraced politician Sir Norman Fry, of course the iconic Lou and Andy! The Catherine Tate Show (2004-2015) - A sketch show starring the likes of Catherine Tate. She made iconic characters such as rowdy schoolgirl Lauren Cooper with her line 'Am I bovvered?'. Other characters featured Bernie the nurse, the aga saga woman, complaining couple Janice and Ray, and of course her infamous 'Nan', Joannie Taylor. The last character herself spawned multiple specials and even a movie. Gavin and Stacey (2007 - Present) The series tells the story of Gavin (Matthew Horne) and Stacey (Joanna Page). The pair embarked on an online and telephone romance for six months. But when they finally decide to be together properly, their friends and family get in the way. Ruth Jones and James Corden created the beloved show, which has been going for over a decade. The 2019 Christmas special was the most-watched comedy in 17 years and the most-viewed non-sporting event in a decade. 6 6 6
