Daisy May Cooper surprises fans as BBC comedy star reveals her ‘real name' in throwback snap
The comedy star has always been known by the surname Cooper since her rise to stardom but in a throwback Instagram post, she has revealed that she isn't actually legally Cooper.

Instead, Daisy May's surname is Weston.
This is the surname of her ex-husband, Will Weston, whom she wed in 2019.
Despite the pair splitting in 2021, she appears to have legally retained his last name.
The throwback snap in question was about the day that Daisy gave birth to her third child last year with new partner, Anthony Huggins.
The snap was of Daisy's hospital visit to give birth to her son Benji in which her full name - Daisy May Weston - could be seen written on the board behind her.
The Sun exclusively revealed earlier this year that Daisy and Anthony were secretly engaged.
Despite retaining her ex-hubby's last name, it seems that Daisy is ready to move on and acquire a new one.
The couple first met on dating app Hinge.
A source said in February of this year: "Daisy and Anthony are madly in love with each other and are a success story for dating apps.
"Their relationship has gone from strength to strength and already have a baby boy together.

Fawlty Towers (1975-1979) - Only two series were made of the beloved institution. However, the cultural impact of the series starring John Cleese and Connie Booth spans decades. It follows rude and intolerant Basil Fawlty (Cleese) as he attempts to improve the reputation of his hotel.
Only Fools and Horses (1981-2003) - The show was crowned by some as the best British sitcom of all time by a TV poll in 2004. Seven series were broadcast on BBC until 1991 with additional sporadic Christmas specials airing until 2003. Sir David Jason starred as ambitious market trader Derek "Del Boy" Trotter whilst Nicholas Lyndhurst played his younger half-brother Rodney. Set in working-class Peckham in south-east London, it follows the highs and lows of the lives of the Trotters', in particular their brazen attempts to get rich.
Blackadder (1983 - 1989) - Four series were made of the iconic show, created by Richard Curtis and Rowan Atkinson. Each series spans a different historical period as anti-hero Edmund Blackadder (Atkinson) tries to better himself in each society. Accompanied by his dogsbody Baldrick (Tony Robinson), trouble always ensues. A TV poll in 2004 found that Blackadder was voted the second-best British sitcom of all time
Absolutely Fabulous (1992 - 2012) - Jennifer Saunders and Joanna Lumley star as failing PR guru Edina 'Eddie' Monsoon and alcoholic fashionista Patsy Stone. The pair embark on heavy-drinking sessions and abuse drugs in a desperate attempt to stay 'hip'. Eddie constantly chases bizarre fads and fails to lose weight whilst her disappointed and neglected daughter Saffy (Julia Sawalha) looks on.
Little Britain (2003 - 2006) - The premise is simple. A sketch show which features different British people from all walks of life that are engaged in all sorts of comical scenarios. Starring Matt Lucas and David Walliams, the pair created iconic pop culture characters. Viewers loved obnoxious council estate teenager Vicky Pollard, morbidly obese scrounger Bubbles Devere, slimming coach Marjorie Dawes, despondent office worker Carol Beer, disgraced politician Sir Norman Fry, of course the iconic Lou and Andy!
The Catherine Tate Show (2004-2015) - A sketch show starring the likes of Catherine Tate. She made iconic characters such as rowdy schoolgirl Lauren Cooper with her line 'Am I bovvered?'. Other characters featured Bernie the nurse, the aga saga woman, complaining couple Janice and Ray, and of course her infamous 'Nan', Joannie Taylor. The last character herself spawned multiple specials and even a movie.
Gavin and Stacey (2007 - Present) The series tells the story of Gavin (Matthew Horne) and Stacey (Joanna Page). The pair embarked on an online and telephone romance for six months. But when they finally decide to be together properly, their friends and family get in the way. Ruth Jones and James Corden created the beloved show, which has been going for over a decade. The 2019 Christmas special was the most-watched comedy in 17 years and the most-viewed non-sporting event in a decade.

Netflix add sex scenes to racy TV remake of classic novel in huge change to story
NETFLIX'S adaptation of Pride And Prejudice is already shaping up to be unconventional – and now I can reveal it's getting an extra injection of steam. The streamer's version of the Jane Austen novel — which has non-binary actress Emma Corrin leading the cast — has controversially left out the iconic wet-shirt moment made famous by Colin Firth in the 1995 BBC version but it has made up for it with something much raunchier. 11 They will give us the sauciest scene ever featured in one of the book's many adaptations, and it stars hot young actors Rhea Norwood and Louis Partridge getting seriously amorous. A TV insider said: 'As regency dramas go, it's about as racy as things tend to get, and certainly much more heated than anything we've seen in any other Pride And Prejudice. 'Netflix is proud this is an authentic retelling of the story, so there's still a lot that's suggested rather than seen. But at the same time, they're retelling it for a new generation. Sexy sensibility 'Pride And Prejudice seems to get remade every ten or 20 years, but it always draws on the original story with a few extras in there.' As well as the 1995 TV version starring Firth, there was the 2005 movie starring Matthew Macfayden and Keira Knightley, which put its own spin on the story. In the Netflix one, Rhea plays Lydia Bennet, bringing a sexy sensibility that will not surprise anyone who saw her playing siren Sally Bowles in the West End show, Cabaret. She's the love interest of George Wickham, played by Louis, who's also tackled some racy roles in his time, including as punk legend Sid Vicious in the FX mini-series Pistol. He also happens to be dating singer Olivia Rodrigo. . . so she may need to avert her eyes when this scene appears on screen. THAT'S THE SPIRIT, GWENDOLINE GWENDOLINE CHRISTIE returns to Wednesday to haunt Jenna Ortega in the next thrilling part of the Netflix series. She's back from beyond the grave as Principal Weems, declaring she is Wednesday's new spirit guide. 11 11 11 And it looks like Wednesday will need all the help she can get. She warns: 'We don't solve anything in this family with words, we do it with deeds.' Further teasers show dark spell battle, grisly goblin fights and a string of menacing moments. Joanna Lumley stars as Grandma Frump among other guests. Part two lands on Netflix on September 2 after rave reviews for the first. 11 SEAN TO DIET? NOTT AGAIN! AS an actor who is fed up of playing characters who die prematurely, Sean Bean does pick surprising roles. Soon he will be appearing in the new ten-part Robin Hood series as the Sheriff of Nottingham – a character who traditionally meets a grisly end at the hands of the heroic outlaw. Debuting later this year on MGM+ the show sees Sean play the villain opposite Australian actor Jack Patten as Robin Hood. Sean's roles usually follow this path. In his last BBC One drama, This City Is Ours, he played a gangster who was murdered early in the series. Before that, he's taken on characters who've been hanged, shot with arrows, beheaded and even pushed off a cliff by marauding cows. I think Sean should embrace his reputation and next go for the holy trinity of Rasputin, JFK and Julius Caesar as his next roles. NEW TV BRINGS THE LOLS GET ready to giggle as Channel 4 has unleashed a raft of comedy commissions. Break Clause stars Samuel Bottomley and Lara Ricote as a couple forced to navigate their break-up while stuck living in the same flat. Bridgerton star Charithra Chandran leads the cast of Schooled, a 'comedic love letter to teachers and school support staff'. And comic Josh Pugh has written and stars in Stepping Up, about a man trying to prove his worth as a stepdad. Pigeon is another flatshare comedy from Katy Wix and Adam Drake, about city girl Kathryn when she is forced to move back home to Wales. Katy said: 'I've wanted to make this show for so long. I can't wait to bring the characters to the screen.' All four are filming now. ALL THE WEST, JOSIE THIS Morning's Josie Gibson is following in the footsteps of her best pal, Alison Hammond – with her very own travel series. I can reveal she's starring in a show for ITV called Josie's Taste Of The West Country. In this new show, Gloucestershire gal Josie will head back to her old 'hood. The channel also recently announced that she was fronting a new series called Josie Gibson's Big Country Build and they see her as one of their rising stars. The new series is made by Rock Oyster Media, which is the same production company who gave us Alison's Florida Unpacked BBC Two series as well as Gary Barlow 's Wine Tours in South Africa and Australia for ITV. As lovely-sounding as it is, by comparison, Josie might feel she's got the shorter end of the stick going to the West Country. PARAMOUNT+ has confirmed that the crime thriller Mayor Of Kingstown will return for a fourth series on October 26. In the new season, central character Mike, played by Jeremy Renner sees his control over Kingstown threatened, which forces him to tackle a mob war.

Chart-topping band reveal Oasis have ‘inspired' upcoming new album as frontman lifts lid on new record
IT has only been just over a year since Kasabian landed their seventh consecutive No1 album with the brilliant Happenings. And us fans won't have long to wait for another one, as seeing Oasis provided the spark for Kasabian to fast-track their plans as frontman Serge Pizzorno tells me their next record will drop next year. 14 'It's been seven No1's in a row,' Serge says. 'I'll tell you why I know. It's because, outrageously, the first [album] went to No4 and the rest all went to No1. 'It's been amazing for us. 'If we're not on stage, I'm in the studio. I am always making music. It's a constant thing. 'We just played two warm up shows and two huge festivals off the back of these shows. It feels so exciting. 'The new generation that have got into this record and the generation that have always been with us — they're combining and it is wild. 'We've never seen anything like it. I am telling you, the gigs we have just done have been the most amazing energy. It's a massive party, a rave. 'These shows have set up the next record so well. We are looking to get something out next year.' Like me, Serge — a fellow Leicester local — was at Cardiff to watch Oasis's first night. And, as we chat, he admits Noel and Liam Gallagher have helped him along with the new album. He explains: 'I had to see the first one, to be there for the walk on. To see them arm in arm was really special. 'It was surreal and beautiful — and sonically incredible. They sound so, so good. 'You know it was a big moment, a poignant moment. It was inspiring.' Today, Serge and his bandmates will release a brand new version of their Happenings album track G.O.A.T after Sky Sports announced it would be the new title track for the 2025/26 Premier League season and beyond. Serge et al teamed up with rising London-born star Cristale for the tune, which will be used on all the Premier League coverage from today. Serge says: 'Sky heard the song on the record and it was straight away, 'This is perfect.' 'I wanted to reimagine it. I made it quicker and more epic. 'Cristale is so cool. Someone sent me a link to her Spotify and I was like, 'Wow, she is great.' She has an amazing flow.' A fellow football fan, like my step-dad Alan, Serge is a die-hard Foxes fan and admits it was tough saying goodbye to his pal Jamie Vardy, who left the club earlier this year. 'It was emotional,' Serge says. 'It really is that Hollywood story, a non-league player until his mid-twenties, signing for Leicester, he was £1million. He was so raw. There was a spark there because he was so exciting to watch. 'And then it clicks and he became a true legend. Not just for Leicester. 'He is one of the best Premiership strikers we've seen. 'Think about the legends there are, he's in that pantheon. 'We go all around the world and people know Leicester's number nine. And that is a crazy thing. 14 'We play in Tokyo and Buenos Aires and people are talking about Vards. That's the impact he had. 'He is hilarious. He is cheeky. And he's got great energy. 'He has stayed true to himself even though his life changed so much.' That sounds very much like you, Serge. A proper Leicester legend.
