Aleem visits residence of Shaheed Major Zeeyyad
Major Zeeyyad Saleem embraced 'Shahadat' in Mastung, Balochistan while bravely confronting the terrorism of 'Fitna-e-Khawarij'.
His two brothers are serving officers in the Pakistan Army while his late father Brig. Saleem was also 'Shaheed' in 2005 in the line of duty.
Talking to the mother of Shaheed Zeeyyad Saleem, Abdul Aleem Khan said that being the mother of a martyr is one of the greatest honours, the sacrifice of your husband and son for the beloved homeland is a monumental favor upon this nation that can never be forgotten.
The federal minister emphasised that remembering the national heroes who sacrificed their lives for the country's safety and security is a foremost duty on Independence Day. 'These heroes orphaned their own children to protect us and they are indeed the pride of our nation,' he added. Abdul Aleem Khan said that today's freedom is the fruit of the sacrifices of those martyrs who defeated the enemy on every front and taught them lessons the whole world witnessed. Abdul Aleem Khan paid homage to all martyrs, declaring that every soldier who lays down his life for the homeland is the pride of the country. He was accompanied by Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party MNA and Parliamentary Secretary, Gul Asghar Baghur. The family of Major Zeeyyad Saleem expressed gratitude to the Federal Minister Abdul Aleem Khan for his visit.
Martyr Major Zeeyyad's brother, Major Hammad Saleem told the Federal Minister Abdul Aleem Khan that the martyr continued to fight the terrorists for 27 minutes after being shot.
He recorded his own will and expressed his desire to be buried alongside his martyred father.
Major Zeeyyad Saleem bravely fought until the end, inflicting heavy damage on the enemy. His brother further shared that the martyr had been married for only two years and was actively engaged in initiatives to support the families of martyrs, himself. Federal Minister Abdul Aleem Khan also expressed sympathy to Mrs Brigadier Saleem, the martyr's mother and prayed for courage and fortitude for the entire family. She stated that in the current circumstances, all citizens must be ready to defend the homeland. She thanked Abdul Aleem Khan for his visit and called her son's martyrdom an honour.
In his remarks, Abdul Aleem Khan said that we all have to leave this world one day but what truly matters is how we depart. Major Zeeyyad Saleem achieved the rank of martyrdom, setting an example every Muslim aspires to for the death of a martyr is the life of the entire nation.

Pakistan, Micronesia establish diplomatic relations
Pakistan and the Federated States of Micronesia, an island nation located in the western Pacific Ocean, established diplomatic relations at a ceremony in New York on Thursday. Ambassador Asim Iftikhar Ahmad, Permanent Representative of Pakistan to the UN, and Federated States of Micronesia's counterpart, Ambassador Jeem S. The ties, he said, would open up avenues for cooperation in the field of human resource management, capacity building and climate change. He said that both Missions would work closely on key matters, especially promotion of international peace and security at the United Nations. Asim Iftikhar said he was happy to learn that Pakistan was the 100th country with which Micronesia was establishing its relations. In his remarks, Ambassador Lippwe expressed his pleasure at the start of a new chapter in bilateral relations. He said that he was privileged to be representing his country at the formal start of a journey of friendship and partnership with Pakistan. He thanked Pakistan for extending support to his country for opening of the United Nations offices there. He said that he looked forward to working closely with his Pakistani counterpart to strengthen the bond of friendship. The ambassador conveyed his congratulations on Pakistan's Independence Day. Before the ceremony, both the Ambassadors held a brief meeting during which they discussed possible areas of cooperation, both bilaterally as well as at the UN.

SBP issues Rs75 commemorative coin to celebrate Marka-e-Haq, Independence Day
The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) issued on Friday a commemorative coin of Rs75 to celebrate Marka-e-Haq - a military campaign against India in May - and the country's Independence Day. 'To honor the valor of our armed forces during the Marka-e-Haq and to celebrate Independence Day with due dignity, the federal government is pleased to issue a commemorative coin of Rs75 denomination,' SBP statement read. How Pakistan shot down India's cutting-edge fighter using Chinese gear Marka-e-Haq is the official name given to the broader conflict with India from July 22 to May 10 this year, while Bunyanum Marsoos is the name given to the operation on May 10. The metal composition, shape, and dimensions of the coin are: Metal composition: Nickel-Brass, Cu 79%, Zn 20% & Ni 1% Dimension: 30.0 mm Weight: 13.5 grams Obverse On the obverse side of the coin, the waxing crescent moon and five-pointed star facing North-West in rising position is in the center. Alongwith periphery on the top of the crescent star is inscribed in wording 'ISLAMI JAMHURIA PAKISTAN' in Urdu script. Below the crescent and on the top of two springs of wheat with arms curved upward, there is the year of issuance 2025. The face value of coin in numeral '75' in bold letters and RUPIA in Urdu script are written on the right and left sides of the crescent star respectively, according to the SBP statement. Reverse On the reverse side of the coin, wordings 'MARKA-E-HAQ' in Urdu script and '2025' in numeral are inscribed in the center. The wordings 'PAKISTAN HAMESHA ZINDABAD' in Urdu script is written alongwith the periphery on the top side of the coin. Two Fighter Aircrafts (shown on right & left sides of the coin), one Naval Ship and one Multiple Rocket Launcher System (MRLS) are shown on the reverse side of the coin. 'The coin shall be issued through the exchange counters of all the field offices of SBP Banking Services Corporation from August 15, 2025,' the central bank said.
