Serial burglar caught in ‘Home Alone'-style trap

NORTHUMBRIA, England (WJW) – A suspected serial burglar was finally caught thanks to a makeshift trap.
Homeowners in Northumbria had been targeted in the break-ins, so they set up a 'Home Alone'-style trap, that included a bucket of water attached to a string.

Police released a video of Paul Howell being doused in a bucket of cold water.
The CCTV footage was handed over to police, who linked Howell to the incident and two other burglaries in the area.
Howell was sentenced this week to nearly 4 years in prison.
