The Vampire Diaries star Candice King reveals engagement to Originals actor Steven Krueger and shows off ring
Candice King is engaged to fellow actor Steven Krueger.
The Vampire Diaries star, 38, revealed the happy news to her Instagram followers on Wednesday, sharing loved up snaps with her fiancé, 35.
The actress — who's been dating Krueger since 2023 — shared six engagement photographs, captured by Catherine Powell at Martha My Dear, their favorite cocktail bar in Nashville.
One photo showed a close-up of her impressive square-shaped diamond ring.
King played vampire Caroline Forbes on CW's hit TV show The Vampire Diaries, while Krueger played the vampire Josh Rosza on the spinoff series The Originals.
'I think 38 just might be my favorite year yet. A couple of weeks ago @stevenakrueger gave me the best gift of all when he asked me to marry him,' she wrote in the caption.

Candice and Steven's paths reportedly crossed again on multiple occasions at fan events and conventions throughout the years.
In December 2023, Candice revealed that she and Steven were dating.
She posted a compilation video that featured a clip of them sharing a kiss.
'I laughed. I cried. I laughed til I cried. I loved,' she captioned the post. 'Thanks for the dance 2023.'
Prior to this engagement, King was married to Joe King, the guitarist for The Fray.
They were married from 2014 until 2022, and share two daughters, Florence and Josephine.
Candice played Caroline for the entire run of The Vampire Diaries, which aired for eight seasons from 2009 until 2017.
She reprised the role for the final season of the spin-off series The Originals in 2018 and made a guest appearance in the final season of the other spin-off series, Legacies, in 2022.
Meanwhile Steven played Josh in The Originals for five seasons, from 2013 until 2018.
Krueger is currently playing Coach Ben Scott in the Showtime series Yellowjackets.

Met singers' union gets 5% increase partly funded by $5M appropriation from New York state
The Metropolitan Opera and the union for its soloists and chorus announced a one-year agreement Friday on a contract. The agreement calls for a 2.5% wage increase plus an additional temporary 2.5% hike that followed the labor group's assistance in securing a $5 million appropriation in New York state's budget. The deal between the Met and the American Guild of Musical Artists starts Aug. 1 and runs through July 31, 2026. It must be ratified by the union. AGMA also represents dancers, full-time actors, stage managers, stage directors and choreographers. The Met said AGMA helped lobby the state government for the appropriation, and the additional 2.5% rise will sunset when the deal expires. Two other major Met union deals expire July 31, with Local 802 of the American Federation of Musicians, which represents the orchestra, and Local One of the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees, which represents stagehands.

Nicky Hilton shared a photo of herself nursing one of her children as she announced her new collaboration on Friday. The heiress, 41, whose sister Paris claims she has a ghost in her mansion, opened up about how difficult breast feeding had been for her in the post. 'I breastfed all three of my children, but it wasn't without its challenges,' she wrote on a post for The 2amClub. 'While I enjoyed the moments of bonding, the latching was often painful,' she revealed, admitting, 'I didn't find breastfeeding as effortlessly as I'd hoped.' She also wrote about the societal pressure to nurse. 'The expectations put on mothers can be overwhelming,' Hilton stated. 'We're just doing our best, and feeding our children - whether through breast feeding or bottle feeding - shouldn't come with guilt or judgement. You have to listen to your body and do what's right for you.' It was apparently her own experiences that resulted in Hilton announcing she was an investor in Narababy. 'Their innovative baby formula, launching this spring, is something I'm truly proud to be a part of,' she wrote next to the post with a link to the new formula company. She encouraged her fellow moms to follow her example and 'Share your feeding confession at Hilton shares daughters Lily-Grace, almost nine, and Theodora, known as Teddy, six, and son Chasen, three with husband James Rothschild, 39. According to the Nara Organics website, the new formula is made from organic whole fat cows milk and meet both US and the stricter standards of the European Union. The company also developed an app that helps expectant moms track 'your body, mood, and medications during your pregnancy journey,' along with 'prenatal and other healthcare appointments' and questions they may have for their healthcare providers. After the baby is born, the app is said to help new parents and their caregivers 'log activities throughout the day.' Those include feeding time, naps, diaper changes and more. The company is building buzz by asking future customers to sign up for a wait list for the product that was supposed to be available in Spring 2025.
