Participants can engage with tools such as Breach Point, EthixFirst, and the National Security Database, which are designed to build skills for cybersecurity careers, a field projected to require millions of professionals in the coming years, according to Cyber Crime Magazine. Additionally, the clinic equips police with specialised cybercrime investigation training, enhancing law enforcement's ability to respond effectively.
ISAC, a non-profit collaborating with the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Defence, AICTE, CERT-In, and IIT Gandhinagar, ensures the clinic's technical rigor. CERT-IN supports off-grid cybersecurity leadership program to build national resilience
Hyderabad, India – The Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-IN), under the Ministry of Electronics and IT (MeitY), is backing a bold new approach to cybersecurity leadership training in India. As the national nodal agency for cyber incident response, CERT-IN is lending its support to the National Cyber Security Scholar Programme (NCSSP) 2025—a high-intensity, off-grid cybersecurity bootcamp launching August 21 in by the Information Sharing and Analysis Centre (ISAC), the three-day residential programme breaks away from conventional classroom formats. Scholars will begin their training in a forest setting—pitching tents, cooking meals, operating HAM radios, and conducting hardware hacking drills—without access to modern digital comforts or controlled environments. 'We are not waiting for cyber threats to strike. We are creating a resilient nation by building a skilled and trusted ecosystem of professionals across all sectors,' said Dr. Sanjay Bahl, Director General of CERT-IN. The NCSSP reflects CERT-IN's growing focus on cross-sector capacity building, readiness drills, and public-private collaboration—seen as critical to fortifying India's cybersecurity posture in the face of asymmetric and infrastructure-level threats. 'CERT-IN has played a crucial role in building India's cybersecurity posture. Its commitment to capacity building, rapid response, and global collaboration is unmatched. Programs like NCSSP reflect that forward-looking mindset,' said Dr. M.S. Vijayraghavan, a respected voice in cyber policy. The off-grid training model is designed to simulate the pressure of cyber crisis situations—emphasizing both leadership and adaptability. Sessions include: • IoT and hardware hacking • Lock-picking and RF jamming • Radio-building and HAM communication • Red and blue team simulations • Survival drills involving fire-making, water sourcing, and food foraging Previous NCSSP cohorts included professionals from global technology firms such as Microsoft, Google, Infosys, and SAP Labs. This year's Cohort 7 adds: • IAS and IPS officers • Personnel from CERT-IN, DRDO, UIDAI, and the Ministry of Defence • Professors from IITs and Rashtriya Raksha University • Executives from public sector banks, telecoms, and MSSPs Following the bootcamp, participants will continue through January 2026 with research projects, field visits, and weekly digital modules. Capstone papers will address topics such as critical infrastructure protection, AI-driven threat modelling, cybercrime-terrorism convergence, and digital forensics. Graduates will be inducted into the National Security Database (NSD), India's premier cybersecurity credentialing platform for professionals serving in strategic advisory or operational roles. It's about rewiring how our leaders think, react, and lead in environments of chaos,' said Rajshekhar Pullabhatla, founder of ISAC. Tata Group to focus on chips, digital platforms, EVs: Chandrasekaran
Tata Sons Chairman, N Chandrasekaran, has said that the company's main goal is to scale up its manufacturing excellence in semiconductors , electric vehicles , digital platforms and financial services. In the company's 2025 annual report, he said that Tata Electronics, which makes an annual revenue of ₹66,000 crore, is focusing on building a vertically integrated ecosystem for technology hardware and semiconductor manufacturing. The group has begun its semiconductor journey with the 28nm node and plans to build on that foundation toward advanced chipmaking. "Together with TCS, startups, and other ecosystem players, we will do whatever it takes to make India ready for the GenAI era. We will build the data centres and skill our employees in new AI tools, forge industry-best partnerships and deliver solutions through human+AI models to transform businesses," Chandrasekaran wrote. Tata Son's financial services arm Tata Capital is set to launch its initial public offering in the next six to eight weeks. In the electric vehicle space, Agratas is developing 60 GWh of battery capacity with facilities in India and the UK, supported by research and development centres in Bengaluru and Oxford , Chandrasekaran informed. In batteries and renewable power, our capacity creation must come with steady and guaranteed offtake, which is the foundation of good financial returns, he added. On the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) front, he said, the new priorities include reducing waste sent to landfills, creating biodiversity plans, and replenishing the fresh water we use. "I am proud to share with you that Tata Electronics is well on the road – it already employs over 65,000 workforce (of which approximately 70 per cent are women) and has an annual revenue of Rs 66,000 crore. In the capital-intensive world of technology hardware," he further said. Tata Power has quadrupled its renewable energy capacity over the last eight years. The subsidiary now leads India in rooftop solar and electric vehicle charging infrastructure, with 6,700 charging stations nationwide. During the last five years, the Tata Group's aggregate revenues rose by 1.9 times, aggregate net profits rose by 3.6 times, and the leverage ratio halved to 0.7 times.

AI monitoring, repairs, and CSR boost for BC welfare hostels: Andhra Pradesh Minister Savitha
VIJAYAWADA: BC Welfare Minister S Savitha on Tuesday announced that the State government would soon roll out Artificial Intelligence (AI) monitoring for BC hostels, along with a dedicated mobile app to enhance oversight and accountability. Under the Chief Minister's P4 (Public-Private-People-Partnership) initiative, philanthropists will be encouraged to adopt hostels through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) funding. At a review meeting with district BC welfare officials and executive directors, she outlined measures to improve infrastructure and student welfare. She directed officials to complete hostel admissions by August 5 and wrap up all repair works and toilet construction by August 30. The State government has allocated Rs 13 crore for hostel repairs, and Swachh Andhra Corporation will provide additional support for sanitation facilities. All BC hostels will be equipped with RO plants, CCTV cameras, and inverters to ensure a safe, healthy environment. Savitha noted that pending diet bills had been cleared and emphasised timely payments. She instructed hostel welfare officers to stay overnight and treat students like their own children. 'I make surprise visits to hostels and MJP schools across districts,' she said.
