With Euro 2025 scheduled to start on Wednesday, the 27-year-old Barcelona player will join her national team's training camp in the coming days.
World champions Spain begin their campaign on Thursday with a Group B fixture against Portugal in Bern.
Bonmati, who has won the Ballon d'Or for the past two years, was absent for her country's 3-1 friendly win over Japan on Friday.
She posted a picture on Instagram of herself watching the match, which was played in the Spanish city of Leganes, from a hospital bed.
A statement from the Spanish football federation read: 'After several days in hospital with viral meningitis, Aitana Bonmati has been discharged from hospital and will join the Spanish national team's training camp in the coming days.'
Bonmati was a key member of the Spain squad which won the 2023 World Cup – following victory over England in the final – and the 2024 Nations League.
Speaking after the friendly against Japan, Spain head coach Montse Tome, whose side also face Belgium and Italy in the Euro 2025 group stage, said: 'She's an extremely important player for us and we will wait for her, no matter what, as long as we have to.'

Arsenal handed huge Nico Williams transfer boost after 'saying yes' to move

Arsenal may be able to find their way back into the Nico Williams transfer race after the Spaniard's move to Barcelona hit a stumbling block after an agreement was made Nico Williams has seen his move to Barcelona stall, despite terms appearing to be agreed for the switch. A verbal agreement was said to be in place between player and club as the Catalan side attempt to claim his signature for the second summer in succession. Last year, Williams opted to remain with Athletic Bilbao despite Barcelona's interest but now appears keen to make the move to Camp Nou. The Arsenal target has told his current club that he wants to leave to join the La Liga champions in the summer transfer window. ‌ While the deal was looking set to be sewn up in a straightforward fashion, reports in Spain now suggest negotiations have stalled. The standstill is said to be as a result of 'high demands' from the star's agent emerging as a surprise when the contract paperwork started to be drawn up. ‌ But the point of contention raised appears to be that Williams wants a guarantee over his registration. Last year, Barca were unable to register new signing Dani Olmo in their squad until January due to La Liga's financial rules. For now, the club are claimed to find the request unreasonable after the condition was not part of the original talks. Williams does not want to suffer the same fate as his international team-mate however. Hansi Flick's side are claimed to have provided assurances that they will be able to register him for the start of the season. That has not proven convincing enough it seems. Barca, while there is the opportunity to pay Williams' release clause, are also looked upon less favourably by Athletic Bilbao. The Basque side are pressuring the league to remain vigilant over Barcelona's registration capacity and have criticised their rivals over their public courting of WIlliams. The combination of scenarios could just leave a door open for other interested suitors in Arsenal and Bayern Munich. The Bundesliga giants are still hoping to sign the 22-year-old despite his preference for Barcelona. ‌ They are said to have no problem paying his €58 million (£49.6m) release clause plus the corresponding CPI , which would see the package read €62m (£53m). Bilbao would be happier seeing the charge depart to Bayern over Barcelona. Speaking about a potential deal for Williams, Barcelona sporting director Deco said: "We need to strengthen in this position. "As wingers, we only really have Lamine [Yamal] and Raphinha. From there, there are names coming out and it will come down to price and quality. ‌ "Nico was there last year but for me, at that time, Dani Olmo was the priority. Now. the same as with other players, Nico is showing a strong desire to come ... And if the right conditions are met in his case, we'll definitely try to complete the deal. "There's a process with any signing: speaking with agents, clubs, knowing the contractual situation ... Nico's case it clear because he has a release clause. We've met with his agent to see what he wants and we will see if it's possible." Join our new WhatsApp community and receive your daily dose of Mirror Football content. Boxing icon Butterbean sends fight offer to Jake Paul after shedding over 200lbs

Butterbean has sent a direct message to Jake Paul, telling the YouTube star that he is "coming for him" following his unanimous decision victory over Julio Cesar Chavez Jr Butterbean has threatened to come out of retirement as he issued a bold challenge to Jake Paul, following his body transformation. The ex-boxer, whose real name is Eric Esch, hasn't fought since his 2013 defeat to Kirk Lawton. However, the 58-year-old insists he is ready to return, but for one fight only. In an Instagram video promoting Lucky Energy, the former heavyweight champion claims that Paul "runs his damn mouth too much" and mocks him for only being able to fight "retired bald men" - which is a likely dig at his controversial win over Mike Tyson. ‌ The video showcases Butterbean's collaboration with the energy drink company and his 'Knockout Punch' flavour. In the skit, a Paul lookalike responds to the challenge before getting hit by a wheelchair, thrown by Butterbean's fake promoter, Mr Lucky. ‌ This new callout comes after Problem Child's recent improvement to a 12-1 record, following a unanimous decision victory over Julio Cesar Chavez Jr on Saturday night. Although Paul made several callouts post-fight, he did not respond to a match with Butterbean. Despite the likely comedic intent behind Butterbean's challenge as part of an advert, it isn't the first time the ex-boxer has tried to square off with Paul in the ring. Before the highly anticipated bout between Tyson and Paul in November 2024, Butterbean revealed he was prepared to step into the ring with the 28-year-old if necessary. In a TikTok video posted just before the fight, the former heavyweight champ said: "Mike Tyson and Jake Paul, I am going to be at the fight to challenge the winner of the fight, Yeah. Mike, if you fall out again, I'll be there to take your place." ‌ Butterbean first expressed his desire to take on the Problem Child back in March 2022 when Paul had an undefeated record of 5-0, having beaten the likes of Tyron Woodley, Ben Askren, and Nate Robinson. Discussing his impressive weight loss and return to training after retirement, Butterbean said: "I'm working with DDP (Diamond Dallas Page) to get up walking and running around again and I'm feeling the best shape I ever have. ‌ "I'm at fight weight. You'll have to listen to my podcast coming up to find exactly how much weight I have lost, but I haven't weighed this in over 20 years so that'll give you an idea. "The big announcement is I'm gonna fight one last fight. It's gonna be one year from now. Jake Paul, if you're ready, I'm here for you my friend. Let's get it on, me and you Jake Paul. I bet it would be an awesome fight. After you said what you said about me in the magazine, I'm ready to fight you. Are you ready? I don't think so." There have been many more callouts since then, but the duo have not yet met to discuss the terms of what could be a sensational showdown in the sport. However, Butterbean's recent jibe at the young fighter might just be the catalyst needed to bring them together in the ring for possibly the most unusual fight to date.
