Fact Check: Is GTA 6 already available for download? Fans lose it after viral post surface
Is GTA 6 out for download? In a strange twist, GTA 6 is apparently available to download now, 11 months ahead of its official release date, reported Gaming Bible.
Rockstar Games has been tight-lipped on the release of the game; however, after the release of the second trailer nearly a year after the first trailer drop, they hinted that the game will be released by May 2026.
Despite this, fans have been speculating on the official launch of the game, leaks, new features and more. With the growing hype of the game, it really feels like the game is larger than life.
Fact check: Is GTA 6 really available for download?
Earlier this week, fans were quite excited to see that GTA VI is now available to download. According to the report, GTA fans who play on Xbox Series X/S are able to download the game to their consoles from the Microsoft Store.
It also stated that players can do this earlier via the web or the store on the console. But if we look at the facts, the download of the game is only 328.76 MB in size, as well as the fact that the game is 11 months away. This doesn't mean that players can play an early version of the game.
As per the report, the game is not available for pre-orders, and there is no chance that Rockstar will release the game anytime soon.

But what does the viral post mean?
Recently, a post shared by an X (formerly called Twitter) account @GTA6Alerts mentioned, "Attempting to play the game greets you with the cover art for a brief moment before it closes and boots you back to the Xbox dashboard."
By this state, the user means that this download only installs the preliminary files that will allow GTA 6 to preload when the game is officially launched. If a player has this on their console, the game will pre-install itself in the days before the release.

Microsoft Updates Xbox 360 Dashboard After 20 Years — With a Nudge Toward Newer Consoles
Nearly 20 years after its original debut, the Xbox 360 has received a surprise dashboard update—one that fixes a persistent UI bug but also subtly encourages users to consider newer consoles. Earlier this week, longtime Xbox 360 users were met with a redesigned home screen that finally addressed a glitch affecting game thumbnails and box art, which appeared stretched or distorted following last year's store shutdown. The visual issue has now been resolved, much to the relief of fans still booting up the beloved system. However, the update also brought a new, unexpected addition: ads promoting the Xbox Series X and Series S. According to posts on Reddit and confirmations from outlets like Kotaku and TrueAchievements, the updated dashboard now prominently displays two types of promotional banners—one showing images of the current-gen consoles, and another featuring a QR code with the message, 'Experience next gen performance.' The ads themselves are static and not interactive via the console. Users must scan the QR code with a mobile device to be redirected to the Xbox website, where they're further prompted to upgrade. Microsoft's last significant Xbox 360 update came in July 2024, shortly after the company officially closed the Xbox 360 online store. That update removed outdated tiles but inadvertently introduced the now-fixed image distortion bug. Despite its age, the Xbox 360 continues to hold a nostalgic and marketable value. Since its launch in 2005, it has remained Microsoft's top-selling console with approximately 84 million units sold globally. The system continued to be especially popular in regions such as Mexico, even after newer generations were released. Microsoft's sustained support of the Xbox 360—including updates like this one—shows its enduring legacy. Yet, with ads for modern hardware now greeting users on the home screen, the message is clear: the future of Xbox is already here.

GTA 6: Four ‘gossips' that might actually be true
A lot has come out about GTA 6, following the second trailer. Rockstar has published a slew of game lore on its website, including details about its characters, some of the storyline, the locations in the game, and more. GTA 6 is going to launch on May 26, 2026.(Rockstar) However, there is a lot that is yet to be unveiled, and it is only going to be revealed when the game is released on 26 May 2026. Having said that, fans and online communities have been talking about several possibilities that could come true in Rockstar's GTA 6. Let us tell you about the top rumours and theories about the world and storyline of GTA 6, which could end up coming true, based on various things that people have spotted. 1. Liberty City could be a visitable location In the second trailer for the game, you see a chase sequence wherein a car has a Liberty City number plate. It is, of course, part of a cutscene, so whether the car is visiting from Liberty City or if you are actually in Liberty City is still up in the air. Another key reason why Liberty City could play a central role in GTA 6 is that Lucia, one of the two protagonists alongside Jason, is from Liberty City, according to Rockstar. Perhaps Liberty City will be a small part of the game, similar to how North Yankton was part of GTA 5. MOBILE FINDER: iPhone 16 LATEST Price 2. The return of dynamic body types Remember GTA San Andreas and how you could get fat or buff depending on how many times you visited the gym? Similarly, because Jason in GTA 6 has a chiseled physique and defined muscles, and we have even seen him working out in the second trailer, it could be that gyms will make a comeback in GTA 6. This could make for a very dynamic experience. Imagine if Rockstar allows you to get better performance from your character if they are muscular compared to when they are overweight. It could certainly make things quite interesting. 3. Pets in GTA 6 Another key detail we found in the second GTA 6 trailer is a cutscene that features a pet iguana inside a glass enclosure in a house. So, maybe you will be able to get pets in GTA 6. However, what is certain is that there are going to be many types of animals in the game. We have seen people walking their dogs in the trailer, and Rockstar has also detailed that there will be a wide variety of animals, including alligators in Leonida, flamingos, and a whole lot more. 4. Refuelling your car In GTA 5, you can enter a car and it can keep going, provided you do not damage it. This means, like most open-world games, you have unlimited fuel. This might not be the case in GTA 6, as online communities have spotted NPCs filling their cars at petrol stations in the game trailer. This could definitely be a hint that you may also need to fill up your car to keep it going. We have seen a similar mechanic in the PlayStation-exclusive game Days Gone, wherein you have to consistently fill up your bike to travel. This could be an interesting addition, considering you might have to plan ahead if you want to go somewhere and keep filling up, just like in real life.

EA Sports College Football 26 goes deeper: Real coaches, fiercer recruiting, and a wear-and-tear slider
Image generated using AI tool After an 11-year break, EA Sports' college gridiron series finally comes off the bench with more than a fresh coat of paint. College Football 26 lands on 10 July for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, promising a beefed-up Dynasty mode, smarter AI and deep cross-play leagues designed to satisfy die-hard fans and first-timers alike. A new kind of sideline boss For the first time, you can start your Dynasty as one of more than 300 authentic head coaches and coordinators—each carrying a real playbook, scheme, and career record. If you'd rather craft your own persona, fresh gear options (hoodies, quarter-zips, even sleeveless tees) and custom stances let you choose everything from wardrobe to body language. Coach progression now stretches to level 100, so building a legend takes more than a weekend binge. Cross-country visits burn time, local kids are cheaper to woo, and up to 3,500 players can jump into the portal each off-season. Dynamic substitutions help—swap tired starters without pausing and save custom sub packages for future Saturdays. 2,800 plays, 45 formations and smarter defence EA has packed in ten fresh archetypes, rebalanced abilities, and tied quarterback vision to height. Defensive AI has also been overhauled after fan feedback, aiming to end the 'cover-2 cheese' that plagued older editions. Momentum still swings, yet poor form or heavy bumps can drag stats the other way. Custom conferences, protected rivalries and full cross-play Whether you want to keep Michigan-Ohio State glued to November or create a coast-to-coast super-league, the scheduling tools now allow protected rivalries and playoff tweaks. Dynasty leagues support cross-play, meaning PS5 and Xbox Series X|S owners can rebuild together without workarounds.
