Man shouting 'Death to Trump' tackled by passengers on EasyJet flight to Glasgow
Officers boarded the aircraft from London Luton once it landed at around 8.20am this morning – coinciding with the US president's visit to Scotland.
In viral footage, a man can be seen shouting 'death to America, death to Trump' before shouting Allāhu Akbar – which is Arabic for God is greatest.
He is later tackled by passengers, with one saying to him 'sit down, don't move' as he lies pinned on the easyJet plane's floor.
Officers from Police Scotland can be seen escorting a man in handcuffs out of the aircraft.
A Police Scotland spokesperson told Glasgow Live: 'We received a report of a man causing a disturbance on a flight arriving in Glasgow around 8.20am on Sunday, 27 July, 2025.
'Officers boarded the plane on its arrival and a 41-year-old man was arrested and remains in custody. Enquiries are continuing.
'At this time we believe the incident was contained and that nobody else was involved.
'We are aware of videos circulating online and these are being assessed by counter terrorism officers.' More Trending
An easyJet spokesperson added: 'Flight EZY609 from Luton to Glasgow this morning was met by police on arrival in Glasgow, where they boarded the aircraft and removed a passenger due to their behaviour onboard.
'easyJet's crew are trained to assess all situations and act quickly and appropriately to ensure that the safety of the flight and other customers is not compromised at any time.
'The safety and wellbeing of our customers and crew is always easyJet's highest priority.'

Sean 'Diddy' Combs has been denied bail and remains behind bars in New York City as he awaits his sentencing on prostitution-related charges. A jury found the rapper guilty of two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution last month, but he was acquitted of the most serious charges in his criminal trial of a racketeering conspiracy and sex trafficking. The music mogul still faces up to 20 years in prison for the two counts he has been convicted of, according to Assistant US Attorney Maurene Comey. As the jury delivered their verdict, Diddy dropped to his knees with his head in his hands as claps and cheers broke out around the courtroom. Judge Arun Subramanian set Diddy's sentencing for October 3. Last week, Diddy's lawyers filed a motion to get the star released on a $50million bail. However, the judge ruled against the motion and said Diddy 'failed to satisfy his burden to demonstrate an entitlement to release.' After Diddy was found guilty, his defense lawyer insisted that the star will "sleep well" in jail. Lawyer Anna Estevao told reporters outside court in July: "This is a huge win. "He was acquitted of sex trafficking, acquitted of RICO conspiracy, he will be able to sleep well at night knowing that." Meanwhile, President Donald Trump recently set the record straight on whether he could possibly offer the music star a presidential pardon and admitted he had been 'seriously considering' the possibility. However, Trump ultimately suggested the answer would be 'more likely a no'. 'Well he was essentially, sort of, half-innocent. I don't know what they do that he's still in jail or something,' Trump said. 'He was celebrating a victory but I guess it wasn't as good a victory.' The President recalled having a friendly rapport with Diddy in the past as they were both prominent figures in New York. But he claimed that their relationship soured after Trump entered politics, pointing to Combs' vocal support of Joe Biden in the 2020 presidential race. 'When I ran for office he was very hostile,' Trump told interviewer Rob Finnerty. 'He made some terrible statements, so I don't know — it makes it more difficult to do.' When he was pressed on whether a pardon was off the table, Trump replied: 'I'd say so.' Diddy was acquitted earlier last month of sex trafficking and racketeering conspiracy charges related to ex-girlfriend and singer Cassie Ventura and another woman referred to as Jane. He was found guilty on two federal counts of transportation to engage in prostitution, which was a violation of the Mann Act. The Mann Act is a federal law that was passed in 1910 and "criminalizes the transportation of 'any woman or girl for the purpose of prostitution or debauchery, or for any other immoral purpose", according to Cornell Law School. It is named after Illinois Congressman James R. Mann. They continue: "Congress appointed a commission in 1907 to investigate into the problem of immigrant prostitutes. It was alleged that immigrant women were brought to America for sexual slavery and immigrant men lured American girls into prostitution (or 'white slavery')."

Moment man 'knocked out' on packed Royal Mile as tourists looked on
Footage shows the brawl erupting beside a performance at the Edinburgh Fringe. Alarming footage circulating online captured the moment a brawl broke out while crowds gathered around a Fringe performance in Edinburgh city centre. Believed to have been taken on August 1, the TikTok clip shows the moment two men got into an altercation with one man seemingly being knocked out. A man with a grey jumper and wearing a cap appears to get a smaller man dressed in black in a headlock before delivering several blows to the man's head and face, reports Edinburgh Live. In the clip, the man in black can be seen hitting the deck with others watching the disturbance unfold at Hunter Square. A performer from the US can be heard in the background as the incident unfolds while tourists can be heard gasping as each blow is delivered. The male in the grey jumper hurriedly walks away from the scene after the other man fell to the ground. It is not known what led to the fight or if the man in black sustained serious injuries. Police Scotland has been approached for comment.

Teenager, 17, jailed for 'rioting' during Bonfire Night disorder
A teenager has been jailed for rioting during the Bonfire Night disorder in Edinburgh last November. Police Scotland launched a major criminal investigation after a number of incidents unfolded in the Niddrie, Calder Road, Gracemount, and Moredun areas of the capital, as well as the Pollokshields area of Glasgow. A 17-year-old boy, who can't be named for legal reasons, was sentenced at Edinburgh Sheriff Court on Monday to one year and six months in prison for mobbing and rioting in the Calder Road area. The teen had pleaded guilty to the incident and a separate disorder offence that took place on Princes Street on October 5. He has so far served eight months in prison, having been remanded in custody. Chief Superintendent David Robertson, Divisional Commander for Edinburgh said: 'The scenes we witnessed in Calder Road, along with other areas of the city, last Bonfire Night were wholly unacceptable and resulted in a local car dealership having thousands of pounds worth of damage inflicted upon their vehicles, while our colleagues at the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service also had their station in the area targeted. 'This individual was an active participant in the disorder and damage that took place during this time, and he was subsequently arrested as a result of thorough inquiries conducted by local officers and CID colleagues. 'His prison sentence is a welcome outcome and should once again highlight the joint commitment of both Police Scotland and COPFS to ensure those responsible for these crimes are brought to justice for their dangerous and unacceptable actions.'
