Caernarfon Town and Cardiff Met have reached the Cymru Premier play-off semi-finals thanks to wins on Saturday.Caernarfon's Louis Lloyd struck four times as they upset the form book in their 5-2 victory against Barry Town United in their Conference League play-off. Eliot Richards put Barry in front early on, but the hosts took the initiative as Lloyd hit back before adding his second from the penalty spot. Adam Davies stretched the lead and Lloyd added two more before Kayne McLaggon's late consolation. In the later Cardiff Met v Bala Town game, Ryan Reynolds provided a dramatic Hollywood finale as he scored in added time to send the hosts through with a 1-0 win.The structure of the play-off semi-finals and final will be decided by the outcome of the JD Welsh Cup final on Sunday 4 May.If The New Saints win the JD Welsh Cup, league runners-up Penybont will qualify automatically for European competition. If Connah's Quay Nomads win the JD Welsh Cup, Penybont will compete in the play-offs.Outcomes of the knockout games will determine European football for Welsh teams in the coming months.

The left-back is set to become a free agent this month amid interest from Greek side PAOK PAOK have reportedly handed Greg Taylor a deadline of the end of June to decide his future. The Celtic left-back is weighing up his options ahead of his current Parkhead deal expiring soon. But after Razvan Lucescu returned to Thessaloniki this week to begin his plans for the new campaign, it is claimed that Taylor and Jonjoe Kenny - who has already reportedly received a contract offer - will be told that they have until the first pre-season training camp of the year to decide their future, which is set for the end of the month. Djurgarden wonderkid Keita Kosugi has been tipped as a potential successor should Taylor depart. The 19-year-old left-back has opened up on his targets for the future away from the Swedish side. But Djurgården's sporting director Bosse Andersson has told potential suitors the club are in no rush to cash-in on their prize asset. He told Expressen: 'It depends a bit on what happens. Money is not a problem. "We have built incredible security and have a flow with players we've previously sold. But that's not what determines whether we win matches — it's about making long-term and wise decisions. 'Three players have stood out in the European Games (Conference League). Keita Kosugi has been prominent and was in the team of the tournament. "But it's impossible to know what will happen. We are not negotiating at the moment, and as long as they are Djurgards players, that is our plan — though we do have a backup.' Martin arrived as head coach on Thursday and while the spotlight has been placed on what players could come in at Rangers, especially with £20 million investment from the recent takeover and a new sporting director in Kevin Thelwell, there is also some uncertainty as to who in the current squad will remain. Whether we're playing in Europe, in the league, in the cup, whatever it is, it's going to be about us and trying to be the best we can be. 'But to experience that, the thought of having European nights here, it's hugely exciting and appealing. So we have to try and make that happen.' Chelsea 'hesitate' over signing £68m striker ahead of Liverpool
Chelsea are 'hesitating' over beating Liverpool to the signing of Eintracht Frankfurt striker Hugo Ekitike, according to reports in Germany. Chelsea are looking to squad ahead of the Club World Cup and the £30 million deal to sign Liam Delap from Ipswich Town was completed this week. Chelsea are also in advanced talks with Borussia Dortmund over a deal for Jamie Gittens, who has agreed a seven-year contract with the Premier League side. Ekitike, meanwhile, has attracted interest following his impressive season with Eintracht Frankfurt in which he finished the campaign with 22 goals in all competitions. According to BILD, Chelsea remain in the running to sign Ekitike before the transfer deadline at 7pm next Tuesday, but the club still have reservations over moving forward with a deal. Last week, reports in Germany claimed that Liverpool had held initial talks over a move for Ekitike. Speaking on the final day of the Bundesliga season, Eintracht Frankfurt's sporting director, Markus Krosche, refused to rule out the prospect of selling Ekitike this summer.
