In Malluru village, a leaking lake bund has raised fears of a breach. In Mangapet mandal, homes in Besthawada were flooded as rainwater entered low-lying areas. Around 100 people from 20 houses were evacuated by police and revenue officials. No casualties were reported.
Though authorities advised relocation to rehabilitation centres, residents chose to stay back. Sandbags have been placed and a control room has been set up at the Mulugu collectorate. Residents can call 1800 425 7109 in emergencies.
In Kothaguda mandal in Mahbubabad, a 30-year-old man went missing in a stream after going fishing. Police launched a search operation.
Overflowing streams have damaged roads in Wazeedu and Venkatapuram mandals, cutting off access to remote villages. The Bhadrachalam–Venkatapuram road was rendered impassable near Yakannagudem. NH-163 was briefly blocked near Eturunagaram due to fallen trees, which were cleared within two hours.
Tourist spots such as Bogatha and Kongala waterfalls have been closed. In Jayashankar Bhupalpally, coal production was halted at open-cast sectors 2 and 3, leading to an estimated production loss of 4,000 tonnes and a revenue loss of about Rs 3 crore.
Ministers Danasari Anasuya and Thummala Nageshwar Rao directed officials to monitor the situation, identify unsafe buildings, and issue timely warnings to farmers.
Meanwhile, water levels continue to rise in Adilabad, Mancherial and Asifabad districts. A mentally disturbed man was rescued in Bejjur mandal. Four people escaped a flood incident in Bheemini, prompting fresh demands for a bridge over Erravagu.

C'magaluru dist officials directed to clear encroachments, address rain damages
Chikkamagaluru: District in-charge secretary Rajender Kumar Kataria has directed the district administration to remove the encroachments in the Amrit Mahal Kaval area. During a review meeting at the zilla panchayat on Friday, Kataria expressed dissatisfaction over the lack of action despite previous instructions to clear the encroached land. He instructed officials to conduct a joint survey and reclaim the Amrit Mahal Kaval area. He also expressed dissatisfaction over the lack of action against aided schools that scored less than 60% in the SSLC exams. Additionally, 525.4 km of rural roads were damaged, incurring a loss of Rs 2.8 crore. In rural areas, 28 bridges and culverts were damaged, with a loss of Rs 4.40 crore. During the same period, 11 govt school buildings were damaged by rain, causing a loss of Rs 22 lakh. Two primary health centres in Chikkamagaluru taluk were also damaged, with a loss of Rs 4 lakh. Overall, govt building damages resulted in a loss of Rs 26 lakh. Since June, 38 houses were damaged due to rain, with 9 completely damaged and compensation was provided to eight. Compensation for the remaining 16 houses is pending, she informed. Shimla: Since the onset of monsoon in the state on June 20 till date, Himachal Pradesh has suffered losses of over Rs 1,500 crores, officials said on Sunday. So far, 88 people have died and 35 have gone missing in rain-related incidents, and 1,316 houses have been fully or partially damaged in the state. The state has experienced 42 flash floods, 25 cloudbursts and 32 landslides during this monsoon, according to the State Emergency Operation Centre (SEOC). The local Met office on Sunday issued an orange alert for heavy to very heavy rains accompanied with thunderstorms and lightning in isolated areas in four districts - Kangra, Kullu Mandi and Shimla - for Tuesday. Light to moderate rains lashed some parts of the state in the past 24 hours since Saturday evening. Dharamshala received 35 mm of rainfall, followed by Malraon 26.4 mm, Kangra 26 mm, Dhaulakuan 17.5 mm, Kahu 14.5 mm, Manali 11 mm, Jot 10.8 mm, Jubberhatti 10.4 mm, Bajaura 10 mm, Joggindernagar 6 mm and Narkanda 5.5 mm. Thunderstorms lashed Sundernagar, Shimla, Murari Devi and Jubbarhatti. Nearly 200 roads, including two national highways, were closed for vehicular traffic on Sunday evening owing to the rains and 75 power distribution transformers and 97 water supply schemes have also been affected across the state. Around 131 roads, including the Manali-Kotali road (NH-70), were closed in Mandi district alone, where multiple cloudbursts wreaked havoc on June 30 night. National Highway (305) Sainj to Aut road is blocked at Kekhsu and Jhed due to landslides in Kullu district. There was no significant change in the minimum and maximum temperatures, and Kukumseri was coldest at night, recording a low of 12.8 degrees Celsius, while Una was hottest in the day with a high of 35.6 degrees.
