The incident is said to have happened in broad daylight at Rhodes' Ialysos beach - in front of a hotel packed with guests.
According to Greek outlet Dimokratiki, the girl approached cops with her father around 5.50pm local time.
She claimed she had been sexually assaulted just 20 minutes earlier while swimming with a 15-year-old Belgian boy in the sea.
The pair had reportedly formed a friendly relationship during their stay at the same hotel.
But the girl told officers the boy allegedly assaulted her in the water twice without her consent.
The girl's statement - given in the presence of a psychologist as required under Greek law - was described as "clear," with the minor insisting the acts were carried out against her will.
The 15-year-old suspect, when questioned, did not deny the contact but claimed it had been consensual, according to Dimokratiki.
He alleged the girl did not object during the alleged incident.
But cops took swift action with the boy arrested at 10pm that same evening, and a rape case was filed against him.
He was brought before the Public Prosecutor, who referred the case to an investigating officer for further legal proceedings.

Both the British and Belgian consular authorities have been informed, Dimokratiki reports.
The Sun has contacted the UK Foreign Office for more information.
It comes after another Brit tourist was allegedly raped during her holiday on the Greek island of Corfu.
The 18-year-old woman reportedly filed a complaint in the early hours of Sunday after a night out at a shopping mall popular with young partygoers.
A 19-year-old man was since arrested in connection with the incident.
According to local reports, she had been seen with the man prior to the alleged attack.
Greek authorities launched an immediate investigation, which led to the arrest of the Italian national.

Thankfully, with authors like Lisa Jewell writing page-turners, there's no shortage of reading material - especially if you're partial to a nail-biting thriller novel. ‌ The British author, famed for her suspenseful novels such as The Family Upstairs and None Of This Is True, has recently shared her top pick for her 2025 holiday read – a must for any crime fiction fan. In a chat with Woman and Home, Lisa revealed that the one book she's eager to dive into this summer is the 'clever and gripping' Her Many Faces by Nicci Cloke. ‌ Discussing her holiday plans, she shared: "We are having two or three micro holidays. The first is in Taormina in Sicily, and the book I'll be reading is Her Many Faces by Nicci Cloke. It's about a poisoning at a club in London and the waitress who stands accused of it." ‌ Despite being a recent release, the novel has already amassed an impressive average rating of 4.4 stars on Amazon and 4.1 stars on Goodreads, accompanied by a slew of rave reviews from other famous crime writers like Lucy Foley and Gillian McAllister, reports the Express. It's even been dubbed 'the new Gone Girl', so fans of the genre should definitely add this to their reading list. What is Her Many Faces about? The story of this thrilling novel follows waitress Kate, who is on trial for murder after four 'wealthy and influential members of London's most exclusive private club' are poisoned. ‌ The story unfolds brilliantly from the viewpoint of five men in Kate's life- her dad, a mate from her younger days, her romantic partner, her legal representative and a hack. Each of these characters holds distinct views about Kate and whether they reckon she's got it in her to commit murder. With her existence now facing relentless scrutiny, she's doing everything possible to clear her name whilst trying to keep it together. ‌ Book lovers have been singing the praises of Her Many Faces, particularly highlighting how captivating the storytelling approach is, being narrated by those in Kate's inner circle. One reader penned a glowing Amazon review: "This was a really gripping read. Fast-paced and told from five men's perspectives of Katie, who is accused of the murder of four. "The short chapters and changing perspectives kept the story moving with a number of twists and turns as these five narrators told five very different version of a young woman. I was kept guessing the whole way through and really enjoyed the ending." Another raved: "This is a stunning thriller that is original and compelling. The format is exceptional and works to show themes of misogyny and how we exist through people's eyes."

Three British men accused of gang rape at Croatian beach resort hotel

Three British tourists have been brought before a Croatian court accused of gang raping a 28-year-old local woman in a hotel room at a popular seaside resort. Ami Arifi, 29, Gezhim Xhafa, 28, and Sohqib Shakibi, 24, appeared before an investigating judge in Split on Thursday and were remanded in custody while police continue to investigate the case. ‌ The alleged incident took place early on Tuesday morning in the port city of Split. Police believe the woman was targeted in a planned attack. ‌ All three men are from London and could face up to ten years in prison if convicted. ‌ One of the suspects is understood to have offered €30,000 in bail, but the offer was refused by the court. Local reports state the woman met the men on Matejuška, a well-known waterfront promenade popular with both locals and tourists. She reportedly accepted a motorbike ride with one of the men before joining them in their four-star hotel room at around 5.30am. ‌ The court heard that once inside the room, the first defendant began to insult her, bite her lips, and grope her. When she objected and said she was in pain, he allegedly continued. He is also accused of taking the woman's mobile phone and asking her to have sex with the second defendant. The woman, fearing for her safety, allegedly agreed and went with him to another room. ‌ It is further alleged that the first man then requested that she perform oral sex on the third defendant. The woman told the court he bit her and touched her across her body. She claimed she resisted throughout the assault but eventually managed to escape and call her ex-boyfriend, who then contacted police. ‌ Officers quickly arrived at the hotel and arrested one of the suspects in the room. The remaining two were located and detained shortly afterwards. The court heard the ordeal lasted for around two hours. All three men have denied the charges and maintain that all sexual activity was consensual. Two of the men are originally from Kosovo, but all three hold British citizenship.
