Gilbert Arenas Reveals He Plans On Snitching To Avoid Arrest: "Got A Fine-A** Girl At Home" originally appeared on Fadeaway World.
Gilbert Arenas is currently out on bail after being arrested for allegedly running an illegal gambling operation, and he has no intention of being behind bars again. Arenas hosted a live stream on Thursday, where he declared he plans to snitch to avoid being arrested again.
"Good luck in court," Arenas said. "I'm pretty sure I ain't gonna be there when it's starting to go, cause, yeah, I'm snitching."
Arenas was arrested on Wednesday alongside five other individuals. The 43-year-old revealed that one of the officers actually played against him in high school, and he joked that this was the best defense he'd ever played against him.
Each of the six individuals has been charged with one count of conspiracy to operate an illegal gambling business and one count of operating an illegal gambling business. Arenas was also charged with making false statements to federal investigators. He pleaded not guilty to the charges and was released on a $50,000 bond.
Arenas' trial is scheduled for Sept. 23, and he could face up to 15 years in prison if found guilty on all three charges. The three-time All-Star hopes to snitch his way out of this.
'Ain't nothing wrong with snitching, man," Arenas said. "It ain't nothing wrong with just telling, man. Ain't nothing wrong with telling, man. Especially when you got a fine-a** girl at home.'
Arenas married French social media influencer Melli Monaco on Jan. 20, 2025. He isn't keen on being away from her for too long.
Arenas has landed himself in hot water here for allegedly hosting illegal high-stakes poker games at his mansion in Encino, California. He has claimed he only rented out the house and took no part in whatever operation was conducted inside.
Kwame Brown, Arenas' former teammate, still ripped him for his arrest, calling him a stupid motherf*****. It wasn't surprising to see that Brown didn't have his back, as these two certainly aren't the best of friends. Arenas mocked Brown for celebrating his arrest, and you can expect these two to keep firing shots at each other.
This is the third time that Arenas has landed himself in serious trouble with the law. There was, of course, the infamous gun incident that eventually led to him serving two days in jail and 30 days in a halfway house in 2010. Then, in 2013, he was arrested by the LAPD for possession of illegal fireworks. This story was originally reported by Fadeaway World on Aug 2, 2025, where it first appeared.

19 People Who Dated Someone Who Lied About Being Single Are Sharing Their Stressful Stories

Reddit user JJsolo538 recently asked, "People who dated someone who was cheating on their partner, how did that unfold?" Here are some shocking stories of betrayal, deceit, and utter chaos: 1."I didn't know he was in a relationship; he said she was his roommate. I was 22F and naive, and he was 31 and a liar. Then he had a life-threatening brain injury, and you should've seen the nurses' faces when they had to ask his mom, 'Which one is the legal partner because we've met his 'girlfriend' and his 'wife' today.' Turns out they were still together, and she thought I was a friend of his mom's. We had a screaming fight in the hallway. It was not my best moment, but I had to defend myself because I truly didn't know the truth; I believed what he told me. And I don't blame her for hating me. Then he offered me money to be a surrogate for them. They're all blocked now." —minderaser15 2."I didn't know they were cheating until I found her Facebook with a different last name through a mutual friend I had no idea we shared. Turns out the girl was married and even had kids. I don't want kids, and I even mentioned that to her, and she said she didn't want to have kids either, so it was a pretty big shock to find out. I found her husband's Facebook and texted him about it. He wanted proof, so I sent texts and videos I had with her. Turns out she was telling him she was going to hang out with her best friend when she was really coming to see me or go on dates with me, and her best friend knew and was covering for her. They got divorced, and she ended up blaming me for it." —PersonalDex101 3."I got a call from an unknown number that turned out to be his girlfriend. She was sobbing and telling me they had three kids together that he didn't take care of, and that he was a master manipulator who she suspected was cheating for a long time. I sent her everything I had and blocked his ass." —owlfacegrace 4."Coworker. She went from my 'office wife' to more over time. She said she wanted to keep it casual at the beginning and was seeing other people. We eventually became 'exclusive' after a year or so... We were on and off for about three years. She lived with her family for the first two years, so I didn't think anything of it when she'd only come over to my place and never invited me over. When she got her own place, she told me her roommate would get annoyed if she had a guy over. It eventually came out that she wasn't casually dating. She had a fiancé, and I was the side piece. Her roommate was her fiancé, and their place was a house they bought together. When I confronted her, I was weak and asked her to choose. She chose her fiancé. They got married a few months later, and I believe they have a kid together. We stopped talking shortly after I changed jobs." —new_for_confession 5."It was like a Lifetime movie. We were dating for four years. One day, while she was away, I opened Chrome, and it showed an email address with another person's name. I did a quick search, and it showed her. She was married. I confronted her, and the excuse was she was married for a green card, and they were both of that understanding, but that was also a lie." —VerbalRadiation 6."She wasn't sure who the father was. I didn't tell her that I had a vasectomy. She brought her daughter to visit me for nearly two years each week, just in case. Bought me lunch every time. Sent me pictures for years. He eventually left her because of some other nonsense in their relationship. She moved to a different city. He took a paternity test, and the child wasn't his, either. Neither of us was the father. To this day, I wonder if she ever remembers who else she was messing around with. I haven't heard from her in over a decade. I never asked. She never actually implied. I had no idea she was married until several weeks into what I believed was the best relationship I'd ever been in. I was all in until she finally broke down and confessed. Human beings are shit, I have finally concluded." —paumpaum 7."After a few dates, I found out he had a wife and infant twins — not because he told me, but because one of his friends tagged him in a picture but didn't tag her properly. I could see her name, but it wasn't linked like a tag. I guess the guy I was seeing went into all his wife's stuff and blocked me so I couldn't see anything she tagged him in or any of his stuff with her. Once I found out, I stepped back but didn't tell him I knew. I let him chase me a bit. He sent me some pretty damning texts. I had a friend look up the wife and get her mom's name, then sent all the screenshots of texts, even a photo of us at dinner, to his mom and her mom. Then I blocked him from everything. Her mom thanked me, but his mom blocked me." "A week later, I got a message request from her; she was using her birth name. She said she was confused about how she felt about me, but she wanted to thank me for letting her know when I did. Apparently, her parents were just about to close on a house they were gifting to them, which would've made the divorce more difficult. I didn't hear from her after that, but I checked her page a few times, and it looked like she followed through with the divorce and moved in with her parents. She looked much happier/more relaxed than she did in pictures with him. I got a few texts from his friends telling me I ruined his life, that he was suicidal, and if he died, it would be my fault. I only sent the hotline number and blocked them. It stopped pretty quickly. I still feel guilty and that I should've known better, even though it's been a few years, but there's only so much vetting I can do." —duchess_of_fire 8."I met a girl at work. We started dating and got to the point where we were spending nights together, taking trips together, etc. One day, she left my apartment, and 10 minutes later, there was a knock on my door. This guy was standing there and asked me if I knew her. I was like, 'Yeah, why?' He goes, 'She's my wife.' The dude was actually REALLY nice. He just wanted to know what was going on and had figured out where I lived through a bit of detective work, and got confirmation when she left my place that day. I was shocked and appalled. He was in the military. They'd gotten married at 18, and she regretted settling so young and used me to live a little. After we confronted her, she went to Burning Man with her sister." "Afterward, she came to my place unannounced and asked me to keep the affair going. I asked her how many people she'd cheated on her husband with at Burning Man. She told me seven. I told her it was over and she needed to stop fucking around with her husband because he seemed like a genuinely good guy. It's been a looong time, but last I saw, they were still married and had at least one child." —SylvesterCross 9."I met a guy who was in town for work while I was out at a bar getting a nightcap. We exchanged numbers and ended up hitting it off. He's a bit older than me, but I have always been into older guys, so it's whatever. I discovered he had a whole family back home a few months later. It's the whole regular DL lie — the marriage ended a long time ago in every sense except the legal one, they're waiting until the kids turn 18 to get divorced, he wants to wait until the divorce is over to come out to spare his wife's feelings. I was 18 and believed we were in love, and if I just waited, we would live happily ever after." "Of course, that didn't happen. About a year into our relationship, I saw a vow renewal announcement in the newspaper. We split up, and now 20 years have passed since then. I'm now 38, and he is still married to his wife. Every now and then, I see him on Grindr looking for another young boy to turn into his DL side piece." —just-another-gringo 10."We dated for eight months before I realized he was married for 20 years, not divorced. I broke up with him immediately. Two weeks later, he showed up on my porch in tears after having left his wife. I assumed a man who would cheat with me (without telling me) couldn't be trusted not to cheat on me, so after a chat, because I'm not a total asshole, I turned him away. They actually got divorced. Later, I found out he'd turned into a Madison Cawthorn supporter, and I have zero doubt I dodged a bomb, not a bullet, with that guy." —Ok_Frosting1520 11."We had a child, got married, spent eight toxic years together with a horrible end. Now, 13 years later, we are good friends who hook up occasionally." —bageltheperson 12."She was a work colleague, almost 20 years younger. We got close through working on a couple of projects together and commiserating over drinks about the shitshow our job was basically every week. I went into it knowing she had a boyfriend, but I was single and on the wrong side of 40, so it was basically too good to pass up. We got very close over time, and though she was a sweetheart, she gaslit the hell out of that poor guy over his valid concerns and took advantage of his naivety. I'd pick her up for work daily, and a couple of times, he'd be there too, so I'd give him a ride out too. It ended when she got pregnant, and the slight possibility that it could have been mine (it wasn't) seemed to sober her up, and she distanced herself. They're still going strong." —complex_passions 13."She told me they broke up. We dated for eight or nine months. In hindsight, there were many red flags. She always showered when she came over or left, changed clothes, never wanted to go out near her house, was always on edge when in public, etc. I was young and lovestruck. She never broke up with her long-term boyfriend before me; he was just working four to six months doing offshore welding or something like that. Dude came back, and I caught on. I blew up the whole thing and brought him in on it. I told him and showed him what she was saying to me. He didn't believe a damn thing I said and threatened to kill me if I didn't back off. She hit me up five months later when he was gone again. They're probably still in that unhealthy shit." —Decapitated_gamer 14."I met him shortly after my 19th birthday. We spent a lot of time together going to bars and drinking. We'd text and flirt. We were seeing one another for a few months. I'd spent time with his friend group. I had no idea he was with someone else. One night, while he was sleeping over after a night of bar hopping, his phone kept ringing. I picked it up, and a girl answered. I asked who it was. She said, 'This is his pregnant fiancée. Who are you?' I called his friends and told them to get him the fuck out of my apartment. They ended up getting married and having a few more kids." —Crackbabychairman 15."She claimed to be in an open relationship that she had apparently opened on her end without being transparent about that with her partner. Not surprisingly, after she turned out to be lying about that, she also lied about other things." —Free-Marionberry-916 16."She told me she had left her husband and was finalizing the divorce. She actually just left him and ghosted him. Went back to him after we didn't work out." —JapanEngineer 17."My patience, hope, and optimism that he would eventually choose me were rewarded with multiple heartbreaks and lasting trauma. 🥲 I'm not sad about how it ultimately worked out, though. He's a better person now, and we're still friends, though we're not close. We're more like acquaintances with history. He had his own trauma, which doesn't excuse what he did, but his girlfriend had cheated on him first. She had done the same thing to him as he did to me. I think they're still friends, too. Some people might think it's toxic to all still be in touch, but growth is about grace and genuine friendship entails forgiveness, which is not the same as tolerance or permission to continue." —SubmergingOriginal 18."It was during COVID. She told me she planned on leaving him once things had settled down and we weren't in a pandemic, since she didn't want to kick him out with nowhere to go. After about a year, things had mostly returned to normal, but it became clear she had no intention of leaving him, so I broke off the relationship and said we should remain friends. After a month or two, it became clear she was only really interested in the sex after she kept trying to initiate it with me, so I broke things off completely with her. If I'm being honest, I think she just enjoyed the idea of cheating. She really liked to have sex with me while her partner was downstairs, unaware. I'm thankful it ended like it did rather than her leaving him to be with me properly." —Amigmy "As a guy, it happened to me once. Her boyfriend came up to us at a restaurant. It was a second or third casual date. He was ready to pick a fight with me, but once I stood up, he stopped a bit, then I told him I had zero idea she had a boyfriend. Turned to her, asked her if she did, in fact, have a boyfriend. She hesitated and tried to wordsmith an answer. I just said, 'I'm out. Y'all clearly have stuff to settle.' I made no more fuss, left some cash, and rolled. Additionally, most guys get into trouble getting violent with the other guy because they want to blame him. We do ourselves an injustice by this or any violence. Once you realize you're with a cheater, just let them leave. A quote I live by: 'If another man wants your wife, the best revenge is to let him have her.'" —ildadof3 Have you ever entered a relationship with someone who lied about being single? New Phillies closer Jhoan Durán caps home shutout of Tigers with fastest pitch in park history

Baseball fans in Philadelphia have never seen anything quite like this. Jhoan Durán made his second appearance for the Phillies Sunday night since arriving via trade from the Minnesota Twins. He secured his second save in those two games. And he closed the 2-0 shutout over the Detroit Tigers with the fastest pitch in Citizen's Bank Park history. Durán's 103.3 mph fastball on a 2-2 count against All-Star Riley Greene set the new stadium record. And it got Greene swinging and missing at the top of the zone to end the game. It also got Phillies fans on their feet. And it wasn't the only record Durán set Sunday night. [Join or create a Yahoo Fantasy Football league for the 2025 NFL season] Durán threw five pitches in the top of the ninth of 102.4 mph or faster. Each of them was faster than any pitch previously thrown by a Phillies pitcher in the 22-year history of the ballpark. The save capped a standout weekend for the Phillies in the aftermath of acquiring Durán as their bonafide new closer. They end the weekend with a half-game lead over the New York Mets atop the NL East thanks to winning two out of three against the fellow first-place Tigers. Durán closed out both wins. For the second time in three nights, Phillies fans were treated to the electric Durán entrance that followed him from Minnesota, complete with daunting bell chimes, flames and creepy digital spider that's a nod to his nickname, the Durantula. On Friday, Durán secured a 5-4 win with a 1-2-3 effort in the ninth. On Sunday he entered the game in charge of a shutout after eight sensational innings from Cristopher Sanchez. He did not let Sanchez or Phillies fans down. Durán started the inning with a six-pitch groundout of pinch hitter Kerry Carpenter. He induced another groundout on his first pitch to Spencer Torkelson. He then threw five straight fastballs of 101-plus mph to Greene before his 103.3 mph laser ended the game. It was the exact kind of performance the Phillies envisioned when they acquired Durán. And it lowered his season-long ERA to a pristine 1.93. In a baseball postseason where the margins are slim, a strong, reliable closer is often the difference between advancing and not. The Phillies are hoping that Durán turns out to be a difference maker when the stakes are at their highest.

Grumpy's Gauntlet part of reimagined back nine at Disney's Magnolia golf course

The back nine at Disney's Magnolia golf course has been completely reimagined as part of a multi-year renovation plan from Arnold Palmer Golf Management. Holes 14-17 are affectionately named 'Grumpy's Gauntlet.' No. 14 is a par 4 with a green sloping away from the center, making approach shots tricky. No. 15, a par 5, measures 597 yards from the back tees. No. 16 is a 456-yard par 4 with water on the left of the green. No. 17 is a par 3 with water on both sides and a multi-sloped green. This stretch has brand new bunkers and brand new greens. This is a facelift for a course, that for over forty years, hosted a season ending stop on the PGA Tour. Jack Nicklaus won the event three times, Tiger Woods won twice in the late nineties, so playing this course means you get to walk in the footsteps of some of the all time greats. Florida residents can save as much as 25% on their tee times, and 20% on golf instruction, and everyone can play year-round on courses that have crowned major winners. Magnolia is rich in history and this revamped back nine stretch is a welcome change. The renovations also include their new 18-hole putting course known as 'The Greatest Green Ever Played.'' The 18-hole putting course features a scorecard and pin locations that change almost daily. It features plenty of undulation, challenging putts, and fast greens that provide a good warm-up before hitting the course, as well as a fun option for kids. The green's new name pays homage to the biographical Walt Disney Pictures sports film, 'The Greatest Game Ever Played,' which is based on the early life of amateur golf champion Francis Ouimet and his surprise victory at the 1913 U.S. Open.
