A 43-year-old actor known for starring in one of Netflix's more popular shows is tragically "fighting for his life" in a coma this weekend.
Manuel Masalva, known for his role in "Narcos: Mexico," has been put in a medically induced coma. He was put in the coma after suffering from an aggressive bacterial infection. Masalva is believed to have gotten sick while on vacation.
Mario Moran, a friend of the Netflix star, announced an update in a TikTok video this week.
'My brother is fighting for his life far away from home,' he said in a TikTok shared on Wednesday.
'As of today, his situation remains delicate."
A GoFundMe has been set up to help with medical care and hospital bills.

The actor starred as Ramón Arellano Félix in Netflix's 'Narcos: Mexico.' The series was a spinoff of the original "Narcos," which detailed Pablo Escobar's rise as a drug kingpin coming out of Colombia.
The Mexican actor starred alongside Michael Peña, Scoot McNairy, Diego Luna in the spinoff series. The show ran for three seasons before going off the air in 2021.
