Cyberjaya student murder suspect withdrew RM200 using victim's ATM card
Selangor police chief Datuk Hussein Omar Khan stated that the unemployed suspect, a local man in his 20s, had stayed overnight at the victim's condominium after obtaining the unit's key and access card from his girlfriend, who was also the victim's housemate.
'During the incident, the victim's housemates, including the suspect's girlfriend, were not present. We believe the suspect took advantage of the victim,' Hussein said during a press conference at the Selangor Police Contingent Headquarters.
Investigations revealed that the suspect stole several items, including the victim's bank card, mobile phone, and laptop, after committing the crime.
'The suspect disposed of the victim's phone, laptop, keys, and access card. However, police have recovered some of the stolen items,' Hussein added.
The suspect is among four individuals remanded to assist in the investigation. The other three include the suspect's girlfriend, who allegedly accompanied him to withdraw RM200 using the victim's ATM card.
Police are finalizing investigation papers before submitting them to the Deputy Public Prosecutor's Office for further action.

However, police are continuing their investigation to determine whether any form of assault took place. Following the incident, the suspect is believed to have attempted to cover his tracks by disposing of the victim's belongings. 'He threw away her mobile phone and disposed of her laptop, keys and access card. Police have since recovered several of these items,' Hussein said. He added that police are finalising the investigation and will submit the case to the Deputy Public Prosecutor soon. The three women previously arrested, including the main suspect's girlfriend, a friend of the victim who lived in the unit above, and another woman who was with the suspect during an ATM withdrawal, are still assisting police with their inquiries. The case came to light after the victim's body was found in her condominium unit in Cyberjaya at 10.28am last Tuesday. The murder was reportedly solved within 48 hours following the arrest of four suspects, one man and three women. It was also reported that the main suspect used the victim's ATM card to withdraw RM200 shortly after the incident. Sepang District Police Chief ACP Norhizam Bahaman previously confirmed that the arrests were made between Thursday morning and early Friday in Johor Bahru and Gemencheh, Negeri Sembilan, by teams from Bukit Aman, the Selangor Police Headquarters and the Sepang District Police.

Police bust ecstasy-laced juice labs in KL and Selangor
SHAH ALAM: Police have shut down two drug-processing laboratories in a major crackdown on a syndicate producing ecstasy-laced juice, seizing narcotics worth RM5.03 million. The raids, conducted on June 26 in Ampang, Selangor, and Pandan Perdana, Kuala Lumpur, led to the arrest of 13 suspects. Selangor police chief Datuk Hussein Omar Khan revealed that the syndicate had been active since December last year. The group operated from terrace houses, processing MDMA (methylenedioxymethamphetamine) to be mixed into juice drinks before distribution. 'Four additional raids in shopping centre and condominium parking lots uncovered 1,510 boxes and 728 bottles of suspected MDMA-laced juice, weighing 689.42 kg,' Hussein said. Other seized items included MDMA powder (1.68 kg), ketamine (25.4 kg), ecstasy pills (5.3 kg), and Erimin 5 pills (0.726 kg). Nine of the 13 suspects tested positive for ketamine, meth, and benzodiazepines. Two had prior criminal records under the Open Gambling Houses Act 1953 and Immigration Act 1959. Police also confiscated eight cars, a motorcycle, cash, and jewellery valued at RM826,222.

Police bust illegal vape drug lab in Ampang, seize RM21.85m narcotics
SHAH ALAM: Police have dismantled an illegal drug-processing laboratory used to manufacture narcotics-laced vape liquids, seizing drugs worth RM21.85 million in two raids on condominium units in Ampang on June 25. Selangor Police Chief Datuk Hussein Omar Khan confirmed the arrests of four individuals in the first raid, including three foreigners (two men and a woman) and a local man. Authorities confiscated drugs and vape processing equipment, including seven vape cartridges suspected to contain cocaine (57 grams), 2.7 kg of powdered cocaine, and 124.6 kg of liquid believed to contain MDMA. A second raid on the same day at another condominium unit led to the seizure of 41 grams of dried cannabis, 140 grams of MDMA-laced vape liquid, and 56 grams of suspected powdered cocaine. A 28-year-old foreign man was arrested and tested positive for morphine. Investigations revealed that one suspect acted as the chemist, while others served as runners and assistants. The syndicate had been active since October 2024, renting two condominium units at RM6,000 monthly to process drug-infused vape liquids for local and international markets. Two foreign suspects had prior criminal records, including document forgery, fraud, and drug-related offenses. The syndicate's estimated monthly profit was RM200,000. Police also seized vehicles, currencies, laptops, and luxury items, bringing total confiscated assets to RM21.9 million. All suspects are remanded for seven days under Section 39B of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952, which carries the mandatory death penalty upon conviction.
