William and Kate to welcome 'new addition' after family's 'tough time'

Daily Mirror14 hours ago

The Princess of Wales was notably absent from Royal Ascot last week, with a royal expert suggesting that Kate Middleton and Prince William have something to look forward to
Royal expert Rebecca English has claimed that Prince William and Catherine, Princess of Wales, are preparing for an endearing new family member, following Kate's mysterious absence from Royal Ascot last week.
She noted that only last year, Kate was undergoing chemotherapy treatment following the discovery of cancer, after undergoing major abdominal surgery in January.

Kate shared with the public this January that she's now in remission, expressing her "relief" on social media and her intention to focus on recovery while anticipating a "fulfilling year."

Rebecca also highlighted the effect of Kate's health struggles on her and William's children: Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis. But it appears there's cause for joy in the household as the possibility of welcoming a new furry friend emerges.
In her piece for the Mail, Rebecca wrote: "We should not forget, of course, that Catherine's young brood – Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, ten, and seven-year-old Prince Louis – have also endured a tough time."
"As parents, there is always only so much we can keep from our children, particularly when it comes to physical illness. It's one of the reasons, I am told, that she and Prince William have decided to breed from their adored spaniel, Orla."
"Not only has it been something fun for the children to look forward to, but I am told they are planning to keep one of the pups."
Over the weekend, William rang in his 43rd year, and the official Kensington Royal account captured the celebratory mood with a delightful snap of the Prince relaxing with Orla and her litter of adorable new pups.

Orla, the black cocker spaniel who was gifted to the Wales family by Kate's brother, James Middleton, recently became the proud mum of four puppies. The birthday post was lovingly captioned: "Happy birthday! Love C, G, C, L, Orla and the puppies!"
Back in April, for National Pet Day, the Wales household showed off Orla in a snapshot where the spaniel appeared soaking wet, with the day commemorated as: 'Celebrating the animals who bring so much joy, companionship and love to our lives this #NationalPetDay.'
In another Orla-themed snap, she appeared in a photo alongside Princess Charlotte on her seventh birthday. The young princess was hugging the family dog in the picture, taken in Norfolk during the bank holiday weekend.
William's late grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, was notably an animal lover herself, with a keen fondness for horses and, famously, for her corgis. In a display for her Platinum Jubilee in 2022, London saw a charming parade of more than 100 corgis.
During her record-breaking seven-decade reign, the late Queen owned dozens of corgis, with Princess Diana reportedly joking that she walked with a "moving carpet" of them.

The study of the most house-proud Brits revealed who is most likely to keep their homes shipshape. The tidiest blokes, and the only three male names to make a list of the 15 neatest, were Mark, Ben and Mohammed. ‌ On the other hand, the dirtiest lasses, as per findings by Cif, were those named Lizzie, Maddie, Lola, Ali and Poppy. A whopping three quarters admitted they would judge someone by the cleanliness of their house. Changing bed sheets, ironing and cleaning loos and ovens were named as the least favourite tasks, reports the Daily Star. However, a third of Brits confessed they loved hoovering, while hanging up washing and doing the dishes were named as some of people's favourite jobs. Cif has teamed up with TV's Queen of Clean, Lynsey Crombie, to launch the Infinite Clean Showdown on London's Southbank. Cleaning fanatics are set to tackle four intense challenges that include sprucing up everything from pet playthings to yoga balls. Lynsey enthused: "Whether its gleaming countertops or perfectly fluffed cushions, it's clear that Britain has a deep-rooted love for cleaning – and it's so great to see. "This research further cements that what was once a chore now feels like a source of joy for many - there's something so incredibly satisfying about transforming a dirty space into something clean, calm and serene. Kate Moss' daughter Lila, 22, proudly frees the nipple at Paris Fashion Week

Lila Moss looked incredible as she stepped out in a sheer top at Paris Fashion Week. Kate Moss's daughter Lila, 22, was among the famous faces at the Saint Laurent Menswear Spring/Summer 2026 show on June 24. The model looked incredible as she opted for a black sheer long-sleeved top that proudly freed her nipples. At certain points, her blonde hair covered the front of her top for a more subtle look, but other images showed the star with her hair swept back to show off the daring look. Lila paired the look with a mullet ruffled hem skirt, which was shorter at the front and showed off her long legs. The back of the skirt had a mini train that added a formal feel to this avant-garde look. The look was completed with a pair of pointed black heels and a brown waist belt. Kate's only daughter, was born in September 2002 to the runway star and her now ex-partner, Dazed & Confused editor Jefferson Hack. The couple split shortly after she was born. Lila has followed in her mother's footsteps, making her first runway debut in 2021, walking for Miu Miu at Paris Fashion Week. Since then, she has appeared in Vanity Fair, British Vogue, and various other international versions of the magazine. She's also walked the carpet of the Met Gala alongside her mum and modelled for the likes of Marc Jacobs Beauty and appeared on the Victoria's Secret 'The Tour' show. As lila has grown older, fans have insisted that the star looks just like her supermodel mother. More Trending In November 2024, the rising star bore an uncanny resemblance to Kate as she shot a DKNY ad in a dressed-down look. Just last year, the 50-year-old supermodel posed for Yves Saint Laurent's latest campaign in a sheer top without anything else underneath. The star bared her nipples in the bold, high-fashion look. Tying the pieces together was a simple leather belt fastened at her navel. The blonde beauty gave the camera a sultry stare as she made her way into the sunshine in a pair of teetering heels. Mum Kate, 51, has been photographed many times over the years in see-through outfits. One of the most recent was at the Saint Laurent Womenswear Fall/Winter show in Paris back in March. On that occasion she ditched her bra in a floaty polka dot blouse. Last month Lila, whose dad is media mogul Jefferson Hack, 52, admitted that she'll be raiding her supermodel mum's wardrobe to find outfits to wear at Glastonbury Festival. Nineties hellraiser Kate has mellowed after decades of wild parties and doesn't attend the festival as regularly as she used to. She was last seen at Glastonbury back in 2023 when she was pictured watching Primal Scream from the side of the Pyramid Stage. Lila said: 'I'll find something in my mum's wardrobe — borrowing a T-shirt — then I'll see something, and say, 'Wait, can I borrow that for Glastonbury?' months in advance.' Like Mother, Like Daughter: Fashion's Fabulous Families Kate's garments often proved a fashion talking point at the festival — including wearing a waistcoat and wellies combination in the mud in 2005. Lila acknowledged that she also puts lots of thought and care into the attire she will be taking to Somerset. She added: 'I'll go through my whole closet of fun things that I wouldn't usually wear, and I'll put stuff together. "At Glastonbury I have a lot of fun because there's that British energy and it's exciting and it's just more people I know.' Opening up about heading to the event, which starts tomorrow, Lila told Vogue Australia: 'Glastonbury is all about the crowds, there's nothing like it so I'm always out front. 'I've actually never experienced a super-muddy Glastonbury. "I'm praying I don't this year because it seems like it adds a lot of stress.' Lila is impressed with the artists announced to perform at the festival this year. She said: 'I'm really excited for Neil Young this year. 'It's a very good line-up. "One of my friend's boyfriends is in Inhaler and they're playing, so that's exciting. Love Fontaines DC, too. "They're great.' 5 Her look was reminiscent of some of her mum's risque outfits Credit: BackGrid 5 Kate Moss went braless in Paris back in March Credit: Splash
