Conjoined twins Abby and Brittany Hensel pictured with newborn baby for first time
Reality TV stars Abby and Brittany Hensel have been spotted with a newborn baby, leading to speculation that they've grown their family Conjoined twins Abby and Brittany Hensel have been spotted with a newborn baby, leading to speculation that they've decided to grow their family. The 35-year-old twin sisters were seen carrying the infant in a car seat before carefully making sure the baby was secured in the back of the vehicle. The siblings then spent some time chilling out at the back of the Tesla boot before leaving the car park in Arden Hills, Minnesota. It comes after rumours began circulating last year that they were pregnant with their first baby. The pair are yet to confirm whether the baby is their own and the teacher sisters now prefer to stay out of the spotlight. Abby and Brittany shot to fame back in 1996 when they appeared on The Oprah Winfrey Show at the tender age of six-years-old. This initial exposure led to huge public interest, before they bagged their own TLC reality show, Abby & Brittany. The series documented their lives as they graduated from college and entered the complex world of adulthood as conjoined twins. Abby tied the knot with Joshua Bowling in 2021 and is already a stepmum to his daughter Isabella from a previous relationship, but has also previously expressed her desire to expand their family. "We're going to be moms," Brittany said in Joined for Life: Abby & Brittany Turn 16 in 2006. "We haven't thought about how being moms is going to work yet." Abby and Brittany are dicephalic parapagus twins, which means they share one torso to which their two heads are joined, and they also share one pair of legs. Abby, who is on the right side of the body, controls the right arm and leg, and Brittany has control over the left limbs. Conjoined twins are very rare, but the Hensen sisters are even more unusual because they are really pretty symmetrical compared to other conjoined twins. They have always been really candid about their unique shared lives, and recently posted a video on their TikTok page, which saw a doctor explain how their joined anatomy actually works. "Abby and Brittany Hensel's anatomy is a remarkable blend of shared and individual organs and tissues," the video they shared by molecular biologist Hashem Al-Ghaili explained, "The twins each have their own distinct upper body systems. Abby and Brittany have two heads, two brains, two spinal cords, and two hearts, which are part of a shared circulatory system." Despite having the same blood circulation system, their brains and spinal cords are their own, which means they have to work in tight-knit coordination to carry things, get places, or drive a car. The pair previously opened up on their reality TV show for TLC just how painstaking the coordination has to be on a minute-by-minute basis. "We have two licenses," Abby said back in 2012, "When we got our driver's licenses, we each had to take the test. We both passed." Brittany explained that they both have to steer, but her sister was the one in charge of the brake and acceleration pedals. Despite having their own hearts, brains, spines, and four lungs, the sisters share one set of reproductive organs. When they were children, their parents were offered the possibility of separation surgery, but they turned it down, because it was unlikely that both their daughters would have survived.

Newport's Riverfront Theatre hosts Windrush celebration
The free event honoured the Windrush Generation through music, dance, storytelling, and community connection, bringing together people from across the globe in a joyful tribute to heritage and resilience. The afternoon was packed with live performances, cultural exhibits, Caribbean and Asian cuisine, and interactive workshops. Local charities such as Newport's AGE ALIVE were also present, highlighting the ongoing contributions of grassroots organisations to the city's diverse communities. Among VIP guests were two remarkable Windrush elders: Roy Mackpenfield Grant BEM and Vernesta Cyril OBE, whose stories embody perseverance and service. Roy Grant, a retired Jamaican-born engineer and author, shared his journey from hardship to innovation. After arriving in the UK, he faced racism and isolation, recalling the voyage as 'horrible, wet, cold and miserable,' worsened by seasickness and unfamiliar conditions. Yet he rose to become Newport's first Black production manager, pioneering carpet-cutting technology and later writing several books. Titles such as Patchwork Culture explore his experiences and the cultural ties between Jamaica and Wales. Vernesta Cyril OBE, born in St Lucia, migrated to the UK in 1962 with a dream of becoming a nurse. She trained at Royal Gwent and St Woolos Hospitals, serving for over 40 years as a midwife, earning the title Midwife of the Year in 2006 and an OBE in 1999 for her work in community relations. Vernesta recounted her journey with warmth, remembering the excitement of leaving St Lucia and the camaraderie among fellow Caribbeans aboard the ship: 'The worst part was the launch that took us to the ship,' she said, 'because the harbour was too shallow for that big boat.' Her career touched thousands of lives, and she shared a touching anecdote about actor Michael Sheen, who publicly revealed that Vernesta had delivered him at Royal Gwent Hospital, a surprise to Vernesta. Just weeks earlier, Vernesta represented the Windrush Generation at the Pride of Britain Awards, where they were honoured with the Outstanding Contribution award for their immeasurable impact on British life. From 1948 to 1971, over 500,000 Caribbean people came to the UK, bringing with them skills and determination that helped shape Britain's vibrant culture. As the music played and stories were shared, the Riverfront celebration reminded all in attendance that the Windrush legacy is not just history, it's a living, breathing part of Newport's identity.

Unlikely couple offer to hold new baby before mum realises who they really are
The couple were branded the 'kindest souls' after a video showed them holding and playing with the baby on board a Royal Caribbean cruise ship, giving the mum a few minutes to herself A mother was pleasantly surprised when two "kind souls" on a new Royal Caribbean cruise ship offered to help her with her baby, only to discover who they were. American singer and dancer Jojo Siwa and reality star Chris Hughes first crossed paths in the Celebrity Big Brother house earlier this year, initially claiming to be just good friends before later confirming their relationship. Their age difference has sparked controversy, with 32-year-old Chris being a decade older than Jojo, who celebrated her 22nd birthday in May. Jojo, who previously identified as lesbian and queer, surprised fans with her relationship with a man. However, recently, the couple seemed blissfully happy as they enjoyed their time aboard the expansive Star of the Seas cruise ship, spending time with an adorable baby girl. In a video shared on TikTok by the baby's mum, Dance Moms star Jojo can be seen gently patting the baby's back as she cuddles her. The video then switches to Chris holding the child, with both he and Jojo entertaining her by making silly faces. Mum Rach Sullivan overlaid text on the footage to provide more context. She wrote: "When kind souls offer to hold your baby so you can be hands-free for a moment and now your baby won't let you take her back." In the caption accompanying the clip, she wrote: "Rosie found some unexpected babysitters on the cruise." The video resonated with millions, racking up over 7.5 million views and more than 1,400 comments from individuals eager to voice their opinions. Jojo Siwa simply remarked: "Best friends forever." Chris Hughes commented: "She's gorgeous and so is Rosie, what a wonderful happy baby and family." One viewer shared: "Something my mum has always told me: 'Babies and animals can tell who actually loves them'." Another referenced Chris's time on Love Island, saying: "They've clearly never seen Chris with his baby Cash from Love Island." The official Royal Caribbean account posted: "Can't handle the cuteness overload." A different person noted: "The kind soul being Jojo Siwa and not a stranger omg lol," to which someone responded: "It's def a stranger to that baby." Yet another individual joked: "If Chris and Jojo announce they're having a baby in the next couple of months, we know who to blame." Another comment read: "Babies don't cuddle just anyone like that. She knows she's a kind soul." Someone else confessed: "Crying over Jojo Siwa holding a baby wasn't on my bingo card today." Finally, one person added: "I don't care what people say about JoJo Siwa. Anything I ever hear or see about her from a 'regular person' is that she is so kind and always makes time for her fans. I am so happy she's happy."
