A Sneak Peek Into The Manufacturing Process Of Men's Leather Jackets
At Blue Star Manufacturing, we craft bikers' stuff that matches their needs— no randomness that has flooded the other bikers' outlets. We conduct product surveys, hunt communities and reveal what truly matters to them when purchasing bikers' gear. Do they expect a design change in the jacket? Is there any new feature that is gaining traction in their discussions? We collect all these insights and talks begin in our design team, inspired by the mission to soar past the expectations of Harley loyalists. Based on the information obtained, we create a leather jacket design that often beats what is already around.
This step holds key importance in determining the overall quality of a leather jacket. We nail it by choosing the highest quality leather, such as cowhide sourced from vetted suppliers and certified tanneries. Cowhide leather is often praised for its extended durability, fine texture and abrasion resistance. Our jackets are typically 1.2mm—1.4mm thick, which is considered the gold standard for the protection leather jackets offer.
In this step, the jacket begins to come into shape. The cutting technician lays out the pattern that follows the natural grain of the cowhide leather. This approach gives leather panels uniform tension and the ability to last longer. To nail the cutting phase, we use laser-guided cutting tables so that the jacket design can easily be implemented, no matter how complex the design is. During the cutting phase, our technicians make sure that jacket panels are strategically placed in a way that they do not intersect with high-impact zones.
At Blue Star Manufacturing, our jackets never hit the shelves before undergoing thorough testing. When a new jacket design is ready, it is handed to one of our Harley crew members. These testers set out on long rides, some of which even extend up to several hundred kilometers, and then give feedback on fit, performance and feel. If the feedback is satisfactory, we move further to the next step and initiate the mass production step. Otherwise, the jacket goes back into the design phase, where it is fine-tuned based on the feedback recorded from the testers.
The hallmark of our leather jacket manufacturing process is extreme attention to safety. To immunize the rider from deep wounds and injuries in the event of an accident, we incorporate CE-rated armor inserts in high-impact zones, including back, shoulders and elbows. These inserts are compliant with European Safety Standards so that they can efficiently disperse the fall impact.
Riders can remove the armor inserts to enhance flexibility during the ride. Jackets crafted at Blue Star Manufacturing meld flexibility and safety at the same time.
A Harley rider expects the motorcycle jacket to hold up under aggressive use. To ensure the jacket shows excellent durability, we use heavy-duty bound nylon thread that runs throughout the jacket, often with triple stitches on high-impact areas. Shoulder yokes, elbow curves and back seams are reinforced with heavy stitching to prevent the jacket from failing during sudden jerks or crashes.
Our manufacturing process of Men's leather jackets is accompanied by strict quality assurance. The QC( quality assurance) is usually four, which include the following:
1- Leather Inspection Pre-cutting
2- Panel Inspection Post-cutting
3- Placement of armor and seam strength testing
4- Final visual and functional check before packaging
We value Harley riders and thus ship the men's leather jackets in Harley-inspired packaging that exudes premium vibes. Using specialized packaging that stores leather jackets with extreme care, we then ship them to your destination.
The manufacturing process of bikers' leather jackets for men isn't as simple as it looks. It consists of several phases, each one playing a unique role in transforming the jacket concept into a tangible design. BlueStar Manufacturing takes a unique approach and crafts men's biker jackets that perform in every aspect.

Billy Joel to close Long Island motorcycle shop, auction off collection due to brain disorder diagnosis
Billy Joel is closing his motorcycle shop in Long Island, New York, and auctioning off his personal collection of bikes as he battles a brain disorder. The 76-year-old singer revealed in May that he had been diagnosed with normal pressure hydrocephalus (NPH), which affects his vision, hearing and balance, he said on social media at the time. Joel also canceled all of his tour dates for 2025 and through July 2026. Earlier this week, Joel's representative Claire Mercuri told The Associated Press that the music icon will be shuttering 20th Century Cycles in Oyster Bay in late September and selling his collection at auction later this year due to his medical issue. Billy Joel's Wife Remains 'Hopeful' As Legendary Musician Battles Brain Disorder NPH is a condition that occurs when cerebrospinal fluid builds up inside the skull and presses on the brain. It is most likely to impact people older than 65. Treating the condition involves surgery to implant a shunt to drain excess fluid from the inside of the skull, according to the Cleveland Clinic. Read On The Fox News App In his May statement announcing his diagnosis, Joel noted that the condition had been "exacerbated by recent concert performances, leading to problems with hearing, vision and balance." The statement added, "Under his doctor's instructions, Billy is undergoing specific physical therapy and has been advised to refrain from performing during this recovery period." Joel, who grew up in nearby Hicksville, opened 20th Century Cycles in late 2010 as a place to maintain and repair his motorcycles, restore and customize ones he bought and showcase his collection for the public at no charge. Like What You're Reading? Click Here For More Entertainment News "It's basically promoting an aesthetic here," he said in a 2013 YouTube video filmed at the shop. "I like older style. I like the automotive style from the '30s to the '60s. I wanted to collect a whole bunch of those kinds of bikes, put 'em in one place and let people see what that era of bike looked like. Because it's starting to be a lost aesthetic." The "Piano Man" hitmaker said he also wanted to bring foot traffic and business to downtown Oyster Bay — a ritzy waterfront community about 25 miles east of midtown Manhattan — where part of the street that includes 20th Century Cycles was renamed Billy Joel Way in 2023. "I've been living in this community for a long time," Joel said in the video. "I actually grew up not far from here. And I'd like to get a little interest going into the town and the village." Joel's nearby home in Centre Island is listed for $29.9 million, and he has been living in South Florida, while keeping a home in Sag Harbor on Long Island. Click Here To Sign Up For The Entertainment Newsletter The shop became a popular stop for motorcycle enthusiasts and tourists. It was home to Joel's collection of more than 75 bikes, which date all the way back to the 1940s and include Harley-Davidsons, Triumphs, Ducatis, Moto Guzzis, Indians and BMWs. Joel noted that one of his most valuable bikes was a 1952 Vincent Rapide, which can sell for tens of thousands of dollars and sometimes more, according to auction sites. Joel's enthusiasm for motorcycles dates back decades. In 1982, he was riding a motorcycle on Long Island when he was struck by a car that ran a red light, injuring his left thumb and dislocating his right wrist. He spent about a month in the hospital. The singer has also ridden motorcycles during various benefits for 9/11 first responders, breast cancer and other causes over the years. A date for the auction of his collection has not been set. KBRA Releases Second-Quarter 2025 U.S. Bank Compendium
NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--KBRA releases its second-quarter 2025 U.S. Bank Compendium, providing the latest view of the U.S. banking industry and analysis of 2Q25 results for publicly traded U.S. banks with KBRA ratings. In this edition, we examine how KBRA-rated banks are navigating a stabilizing yet still uncertain environment. Net interest margin expansion continues to support earnings, helping to offset modestly rising expenses and credit costs. While overall credit quality remains solid, emerging stress in the multifamily and office commercial real estate sectors warrants close monitoring. We also assess the increasing use of loan modifications during periods of borrower distress and loan maturities. Additionally, we highlight a resurgence in subordinated debt issuance, as banks take advantage of improved market conditions. At the same time, M&A activity remains measured, reflecting both strategic caution and a limited pool of attractive targets. Finally, we explore how evolving regulatory developments, most notably the GENIUS Act, may influence long-term strategic planning and capital deployment across the banking sector. The Compendium includes 2Q25 summaries on all publicly traded U.S. banks in KBRA's rated universe, focusing on key performance and credit metrics, along with medians of key ratios. The Compendium also includes the top 10 lowest cost deposit franchises, highest reserves to loans, and largest sequential changes in return on assets, net interest margin, net charge-offs, and nonperforming asset ratios.
