Norway's future Queen, Ingrid proves she is a thrifty princess as she hits the vintage racks on Newtown's trendy strip
But that didn't stop Norway's future queen, Princess Ingrid Alexandra, from enjoying a very low-budget shopping expedition in Sydney's inner-west over the weekend.
The 21-year-old, who is currently studying at the University of Sydney, was spotted perusing the vintage racks on Newtown's iconic King Street with some girlfriends, looking very casual in sweatpants and a tank top.
Looking like any other shopper, Ingrid added a satchel handbag, blue jumper, white sneakers and a pair of sunglasses to her off-duty look.
The future world leader completed her ensemble with gold stud earrings and several chunky rings.
Embracing student life like a local, the thrifty princess was seen sifting through several op shops and picking out some pre-loved pieces, including a cosy-looking red sweatshirt.
The Royal was also spotted visiting Mitre 10, where she picked up a packet of Blu-Tack, perhaps to use while decorating her new university dorm room.
At one stage, Ingrid was seen joking around and hugging her gal pals on the street.
Ingrid, who is second in line to the throne after her father, arrived in Australia in July.
She posed on campus for a series of photos which she uploaded to Instagram.
The Royal Household's full statement from Ingrid read: 'I'm looking forward to starting my studies at the University of Sydney.
'It will be exciting to become a student, and I'm looking forward to gaining new perspectives on both European and international politics.
'I'm sure that I will learn a lot.'
She marked the joyous occasion with a series of images taken around what appeared to be the University of Sydney campus.

Ingrid descends from one of the world's most affluent monarchies, boasting a net worth estimated in the millions
While she is certainly adjusting to Australian party life, Ingrid appears to still be getting the hang of Aussie road rules.
She was recently spotted making a slight slip-up when she and a female friend tried to hop into a waiting Uber from the wrong side.
Evidently used to left-hand drive vehicles, the princess was seen reaching for the door handle on the driver's side.
Her parents, Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit, also joined her in Sydney earlier this month.
Ingrid's decision to move to Australia to continue her studies came after she embarked on military training at the Engineer Battalion in Brigade Nord last year.
Ingrid is the granddaughter of Norway's reigning monarch, 88-year-old King Harald V, and stands second in line to the throne, following her father, Crown Prince Haakon, 52.
She marks a milestone in Norway's history as the first female heir to the throne.
The monarchy's wealth is believed to fall somewhere between $30 million and $100 million.

I'M A Celebrity's Melvin Odoom has secretly found love - and it's all thanks to his former campmate. Sparks flew between Radio One DJ Melvin, 45, and his 31-year-old girlfriend Hannah Holland after being introduced through social media influencer GK Barry. 4 4 The couple grew close after filming wrapped on the 2024 series in Australia, where Hannah had flown out for work. An insider told The Sun: 'Melvin and Hannah really hit it off and are incredibly happy together. 'They're both keen to keep their relationship out of the spotlight, but their chemistry is undeniable. 'It's now an open secret in the industry - everyone's thrilled for Melvin.' Redhead Hannah spent time Down Under in her role as CEO of HLD - a London-based Entertainment Agency - which represents GK Barry. She signed the star, real name Grace Keeling, who'd gone viral with her relatable and funny TikTok videos during the Covid lockdown. Hannah's paths crossed with Melvin while the pair watched from the family and friends area outside camp after Melvin was fourth to be voted out of the jungle. Presenter Melvin, who openly discussed his single status on the ITV show, had hopes of winning the heart of his cougar crush Carol Vorderman, 64, after leaving the show. He brought a cushion with a picture of her face printed on it as his luxury item on the show. The 45-year-old even role-played a date with her alongside his campmates - calling her his 'dream woman'. Katie Price breaks her silence amid Peter Andre row and says ‘she refuses to be bullied and gaslit'
Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) KATIE Price has hit back at ongoing speculation about her family amid an ongoing war with exes Peter Andre and Alex Reid. The glamour model has been making headlines over the past week amid ongoing rows triggered by the launch of her 18-year-old daughter Princess's new reality show, The Princess Diaries. Shortly afterwards, Peter broke his 16-year silence to speak out against his ex-wife, making public for the first time that the kids were court ordered to live with him since 2019. This then set off a chain of events which included reports she had got into a 'rift' with Princess, her second husband, Alex Reid, making his own public accusations against her. Katie initially responded to Peter's claims with a thinly-veiled post about 'saints and sinners', and a singular statement via a lawyer regarding Alex's claim – which showed her counting wads of cash despite being declared bankrupt. But she broke her silence today on the latest episode of her podcast. The mum-of-five briefly addressed the ongoing trouble with her sister, Sophie – saying she "refuses to be gaslit" and standing by what she said. "It's been full on [this week], but I want people to know: I own my s**t," she told Sophie. "It's very well documented, and I've always said how I've learned from my past. I'd always have a reaction to things, then it would spiral out of control, and this and that, and then spiralling out of control would make more headlines. "I'm so at peace with everything. At. Peace. I don't need to rise to people, and what I say on my podcast is generally my opinion, what I feel, and I don't lie about anything. Nothing." "Everything's in my lawyer's hands now," she continued. "I'm not being bullied or gaslighted anymore from anybody." Princess Andre breaks silence on Peter and Katie's bitter feud after his blistering statement She then couldn't resist a swipe at her exes, stating: "I find people from my past still go beyond about me. It's like, are they all that's obsessed? Just chill out and get on with your own life." However, she did set the record straight about the relationship she has with her two children, 20-year-old son Junior and Princess, 18, whom she shares with Peter, insisting they get on well even if they don't appear on her social media. "I will say one thing: I don't have to go on social media, and always, the amount of times I see Junior, I don't go to Junior, 'Oh Junior, while I'm around your house - and Jasmine - can we all do a picture just to show that I'm round your house and we're doing dinner?' "I don't have to prove it to anyone, because I know. I've been there done that. It's like with Princess, I see her all the time. I don't have to do pictures now all the time." As Sophie credited Princess for being in "good spirits" about the ongoing attention, Katie added: "She knows the score, she knows what it's like, but she also knows, because we always talk, we know that everything's not always what it seems. "I love my kids, and that's all that matters – and they love me." 7 Katie's annoyance at being excluded from Princess's series kickstarted a string of accusations Credit: ITV 7 Alex shared a video of Katie counting wads of cash despite being declared bankrupt Credit: PA 7 Katie told "those in her past" to "get a life" calling them "obsessed" with her Credit: Getty

Shocking X-rated truth behind one of sport's most-iconic photos having been praised for its ‘sportsmanship' for 20 YEARS
FREDDIE FLINTOFF'S famous photo of him bending down alongside Brett Lee has become synonymous with good sportsmanship. The photo was taken during the second test of the 2005 Ashes Series, with England hero Flintoff bending down and touching the shoulder of the Aussie following his side's crushing last-over defeat. 3 3 The match is remembered as one of cricket 's greatest Tests as it marked the start of a real England push to reclaim the Ashes after 16 years. But the real truth behind that image - plastered across newspapers the world over and one of the most recognisable photos in modern cricket - has now come to light. Indeed, Flintoff's gesture was certainly not as kind as it might have seemed to those watching from afar. Instead, according to Lee and former England captain Michael Atherton, he was delivering a brutal private sledge. Flintoff, now 47, crouched down and said: "That's one-all, you Aussie b******." Speaking to the Daily Mail, Lee recalls: "That might have been thrown in there. "He's just a guy that has just given his all, who's been great for world cricket, and his sportsmanship is just second to none. "He's an absolute beauty." England would go on to win the Ashes for the first time in 16 years following the Edgbaston triumph - with the two-run victory that day still the tightest finish in Ashes history. And despite the defeat on the day, Lee, 48, rates it as the best match he played in his career. He added: "He's that lovable character. "Not real lovable though when he's bowling 95 miles an hour at your ribs, I can testify to that. "Probably one of the most special moments in my career was that 2005 Ashes series and certainly that epic battle that we had at Edgbaston. "Even though we lost, I'd still put that down as one of my favourite games, purely the way it was played and the sportsmanship that was on show." The next Ashes series takes place Down Under, with England eyeing a first victory in 10 years and first in Australia since 2010.
