Three wanted over murder of Scottish businessman Campbell Scott in Kenya
Police in Kenya have named three men wanted in connection with the murder of a Scottish businessman whose body was found in a sack of pineapples.Campbell Scott was found dead in a forest 60 miles (96.5km) from Nairobi after he went missing from his hotel on 16 February.The country's Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) has released images of the men, who they believe are linked to the "brutal murder" of the 58-year-old.They have been named as Benard Mbunga Mbusu, Samuel Musembi Kamitu and Alphonse Munyao Kilewa, also known as "Edu".
The DCI posted a statement on X asking for anyone with information on their whereabouts to contact them.Two other men appeared in court accused of using Mr Scott's bank cards to withdraw money on Saturday.
Mr Scott, from Dunfermline in Fife, was a senior director at the credit scoring firm Fico and had been attending a conference at the JW Marriott Hotel in Nairobi.He went missing after failing to meet colleagues to deliver a presentation having visited a nightclub.His body was found in Makongo Forest with his hands bound.A number of arrests have been made in connection with the investigation.Police initially arrested two men - a taxi driver and a nightclub waiter - who are believed to have been among the last to see him alive.Then on Saturday two other men were arrested in Mombasa, 301 miles (485km) from Nairobi on Kenya's Indian Ocean coast.Officers believe Mr Scott visited a house belonging to one of the men, where he was killed.They allege that the same man withdrew money from Mr Scott's account at three different locations, working with the second suspect.A court in Nairobi agreed that police could hold the men for 21 days while the investigation into his death continues.
A post-mortem examination into his death proved "inconclusive".Pathologists said samples would be submitted for toxicology testing after it was determined the injuries sustained by Mr Scott were "too minor" to have caused his death.The DCI has asked Interpol to help track Mr Scott's mobile phone and debit and credit card transactions.

Isla Bryson has slammed a court ruling on biological sex and demanded to be moved back to a female prison. The convicted double rapist, born Adam Graham, began to identify as a woman called Isla while awaiting trial for rape. The case caused political waves after the rapist was sent to female jail Cornton Vale before then FM Nicola Sturgeon announced a switch to all-male HMP Edinburgh and later HMP Glenochil. In April, the Supreme Court ruled a woman is defined by biological sex under equalities law and the Scottish Government is facing calls to move all biological men out of women's jails. The decision came after feminist group For Women Scotland (FWS) challenged the Scottish Government's 2018 ruling that transgender women could be included as female in laws requiring 50/50 representation on public boards. Bryson backs plans by Victoria McCloud, the UK's only judge to ever publicly say they are transgender, to challenge the government at the European Court of Human Rights over the ruling and plans her own appeal there. Speaking to the Sunday Mail in a phone call from jail, Bryson said: 'No matter what you think or how you look at it, trans women will always be women. "Even if you don't agree with it, then that's your opinion. We are not going to go away. Sooner or later judges will have to put trans women back in women's prisons because if they don't, trans women have the right to take it to the European court and they will. 'If they win and the courts say women have to go to women's prisons, I will probably get moved to a women's prison.' After the outcry over Bryson, trans prisoners faced a move to male jails but prison chiefs opted to let them stay if they had not shown violence to women. However, Alba MSP Ash Regan said: 'The perversity of a double rapist demanding access to women's prisons sums up why we must end this dangerous experiment of gender ideology eroding sex-based rights – male entitlement masquerading as rights must never be at the expense of women's safety, dignity and consent. 'Eight weeks after the Supreme Court ruling, ministers dither while lobbyists stoke the mis-information they helped create. 'Now even Isla Bryson/Adam Graham – the double rapist who shocked the nation – joins a small but vocal chorus in demanding the law be overturned to allow him access to a woman's jail. 'If this is not the wake-up call needed for John Swinney's government, then a third first minister may be sacrificed on the altar of gender ideology.' Scottish Tory shadow minister for victims Sharon Dowey said: 'These abhorrent comments from a double rapist will anger Scots. Not only is this call deeply insulting to his victims, it also highlights how the SNP's gender self-ID policy has become so embedded in Scotland's justice system.' FWS's Susan Smith said: 'For all the activists and politicians who've been trying to undermine the Supreme Court ruling and claim this about walking groups and toilets, this intervention from a notorious double rapist highlights it is vulnerable women whose safety would be threatened by any challenge or change to the law.' The Scottish Prison Service said it had received the Supreme Court ruling and is 'considering any potential impact it may have'. The Scottish Government said it 'has been clear that we accept the Supreme Court judgement'.

Man killed in four-storey blaze with 40 people evacuated from their homes
A man has died and an eight-year-old girl has been left injured after a four-storey building caught on fire. The fire broke out in the early hours of Saturday morning on Scott Street, with a man pronounced dead at the scene. An eight-year-old girl and a 27-year-old man were also taken to hospital. Two firefighters also sustained minor injuries and other blocks of flats nearby were evacuated. Deputy Assistant Chief Officer Andy Girrity of the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: 'On arrival, firefighters found the roof of a four-storey residential building well alight. 'Initially, three appliances were mobilised, but due to the severity of the blaze and structural collapses, a total of twelve appliances were involved at the height of the incident. 'Five casualties, including one firefighter injured by falling masonry, were passed into the care of the Scottish Ambulance Service. 'The incident has now been scaled back, and two appliances and one height vehicle remain on scene to dampen down hot spots.' Police Scotland Chief Superintendent Nicola Russel said: 'Our thoughts are with all those affected by this incident. 'Investigations are at a very early stage to establish the full circumstances of what has happened. 'We are conducting a joint investigation with Scottish Fire and Rescue Service.' Man arrested over alleged 'gangland' shooting in bar in Spain named
The 44-year-old man arrested has been named after Spanish authorities issued an international arrest warrant following the alleged killings of Ross Monaghan and Eddie Lyons Jnr. A man arrested after two senior figures from a Scottish organised crime group were murdered in a Spanish bar has been named. Ross Monaghan, 43, and Eddie Lyons Jnr, 46, were shot dead at Monaghan's Bar in Fuengirola in the Costa Del Sol on May 31. Michael Terrence Riley, 44, from Merseyside, was arrested in England on Friday evening in connection with the alleged shootings in the Costa del Sol on May 31, the Liverpool Echo reports. He is due to appear in court next week after an appearance at Westminster Magistrates' Court this morning, Saturday June 14. Riley faces extradition to Spain after an international arrest warrant was issued by Spanish authorities. Spanish police want to question Riley about the double killing at the Irish bar in Malaga. Monaghan, 43, and Lyons Jnr, 46, died after a masked gunman opened fire at around 11pm on May 31. Following the Spain shooting, Police Scotland issued a statement saying there was no intelligence to suggest the deaths were linked with a series of criminal acts by rival groups in Scotland. A spokesperson for Merseyside Police said today: "We can confirm yesterday evening, Friday 13 June, a man was arrested in connection with two fatal shootings in Spain on 31 May. "The 44-year-old man from Merseyside appeared at Westminster Magistrates' Court this morning, Saturday 14 June, for the commencement of extradition proceedings to Spain. He has been remanded into custody to appear in court at a later date." Riley was detained on an international arrest warrant, which is a request issued by a judicial authority in one country to another to help locate someone for extradition. Any extradition would have to be approved by a UK court. Shocking footage captured the chilling moments after the incident as a passerby desperately tried to save fatally shot gangster Eddie Lyons. A witness recorded the footage, which was seen by the Record, after hearing the gunshots outside the Monaghan's pub in Fuengirola in the Costa Del Sol. It shows them arriving at the boozer where one female Good Samaritan is attempting CPR on stricken Lyons outside. The voice of a man crouching next to Lyons can be heard repeatedly saying 'help him' as the woman unsuccessfully tries to revive Eddie. It is understood the shootings are not linked to Scotland's ongoing gangland war which has been raging on with incidents across the central belt since March. Cops announced on Friday, June 13, that two more men have been arrested in connection with the gang violence in Edinburgh and Glasgow, bringing the total to 44. Detective Chief Superintendent Dave Ferry said: 'Our continued activity and arrests show our commitment to targeting organised crime and bringing those responsible to justice. 'We continue to investigate and follow a number of positive lines of enquiry. The support and response from the public has been excellent, and I am grateful for the assistance given to us and that continued support from local communities is crucial as we progress our enquiries.
