Trent Rockets have been dealt a huge blow in their match against Southern Brave in The Hundred 2025 , as sources have confirmed that Adam Hose has been taken to hospital for scans and recovery assessment following his on-field injury at Trent Bridge.
Hose went down in severe pain while attempting to field during the Brave innings, with early signs suggesting a possible dislocation to his right knee. The incident was serious enough to halt play temporarily, as medical staff rushed in and players left the field during treatment.
Although no official statement has yet been released, sources have confirmed that Hose has been transported to hospital for detailed scans and further medical evaluation. His immediate return to action is ruled out, and the Rockets will now have to continue the game with only 10 available batters.
We wish Adam Hose a speedy recovery after an injury to his leg in the field. 💛 #TheHundred

Meanwhile, Southern Brave managed to put up 140 on what was described as a slow, sluggish surface, with Leus du Plooy anchoring the innings with a 34-ball 55, supported by late cameos from Michael Bracewell and James Coles. The Rockets' sloppy fielding and missed chances added to their troubles.
With Hose sidelined and the team one batter short, Trent Rockets face an uphill task in their chase. His absence is not only a tactical disadvantage but also a major setback to team morale.
Everyone around the game will be hoping for positive news from the hospital as Hose undergoes scans, with wishes pouring in for his speedy recovery.

Cox thrills as Invincibles hit record Hundred score

The Hundred men's competition, The Kia Oval Oval Invincibles 226-4 (100 balls): Cox 86* (29) Welsh Fire 143 (93 balls): Bairstow 50 (28); T Curran 4-15 Oval Invincibles won by 83 runs Scorecard. Table Jordan Cox lit up The Hundred as Oval Invincibles smashed the record for the competition's highest total by piling up 226-4 in an 83-run victory over Welsh Fire. Cox crashed 86 not out from just 29 balls in a thrilling display of six hitting at The Oval and the Invincibles comfortably passed the previous record score - Manchester Originals' 208-5 against Northern Superchargers in 2022. England right-hander Cox hit 10 of the innings' 17 sixes in front of a jubilant home crowd. Openers Tawanda Muyeye and Will Jacks laid a platform of 76 in 39 balls before Cox, after a steady start, exploded into life by hitting four sixes in one set of five balls from Hundred debutant Ajeet Singh Dale. The seamer then dropped Cox on 45 but the only further catching opportunities came for those in the stands. Cox put on 97 in only 39 balls with Sam Curran who made 34, while Jacks' 38 from 28 was the next highest score. Invincibles' dominance continued into the chase as Stephen Eskinazi was caught off Jason Behrendorff's first ball and Cox then produced one more special moment by clinging on to a spiralling catch running back from mid-on to dismiss Steve Smith for seven. Fire were bowled out for 143, making it the third-biggest defeat in The Hundred, although by hitting eight further sixes they ensured the match featured the most sixes in one match in the competition. Two-time defending champions Invincibles join Superchargers and Trent Rockets on 12 points at the top of the table but go top courtesy of their impressive net run-rate. Rockets win after Hose suffers serious ankle injury Capsey stars as Invincibles blow away winless Fire The Hundred 2025 - fixtures, results & reports Cox creates carnage at The Oval The 17 sixes hit by Invincibles is the most in a Hundred innings across its four previous seasons. Cox's 10 also equalled the individual record held by Liam Livingstone. Remarkably, he took only eight runs from his first eight balls before flogging Singh Dale over the leg side for his first three boundaries. A wide and a dot ball followed after which Cox, who was left out of England's white-ball squads on Friday, played an audacious reverse scoop over third man to the seamer's final ball. From there the hitting was relentless. If Invincibles bowled short Cox whipped the ball over fine leg or powered it over extra cover. When the seamers went full they were hit at a strike-rate of 308. "None of the bowlers seemed to be able to calm themselves down and it multiplied," former England bowler Steve Finn told BBC Two. "The way Jordan Cox played was freakish. "It wasn't bludgeoning. It was timing the ball." After Curran was caught, Donovan Ferreira emerged and crashed his first ball for six. The 200 was reached in 91 balls and when Tom Curran flicked the 96th for four a new highest Hundred score had been reached. There was still time for two more Cox sixes - one a glorious checked drive - but Muyeye perhaps summed up his side best. "For me it feels like playing for [Michael Jordan's six-time NBA winners] Chicago Bulls in the 90s, in terms of cricket," he said. "That's how good everyone is." What is happening on Sunday? The highlight of Sunday's action is the cross-Pennine derby between Manchester Originals and Northern Superchargers. The women's game at Old Trafford begins at 11:00 BST and the men's 14:30. Birmingham Phoenix also host London Spirit on Sunday. The women's game is at 14:30 and then men's 18:00. Capsey stars as Invincibles blow away winless Fire

The Hundred women's competition, The Oval Oval Invincibles 150-6 (100 balls): Capsey 55 (34); Matthews 2-18 Welsh Fire 111 (96 balls): Dunkley 56 (41); Smale 3-13 Invincibles won by 39 runs Scorecard. Table Alice Capsey whacked her second half-century in this year's edition of The Hundred as Oval Invincibles eased to a 40-run win over winless Welsh Fire. Capsey's 55 off 34 balls featured seven fours and one six as she provided the backbone of the Invincibles' imposing total of 150-6. It was the 21-year-old's second fifty in as many matches following a lean run which had seen her score just one half-century in her past 32 T20 or Hundred innings. Capsey has also struggled in England colours this summer with five single-figure scores in six T20 international innings, but this was another outing brimming with confident strokeplay. It was almost a shock when Capsey was out - the crowd stunned when she was dismissed caught and bowled by Shabnim Ismail, who bagged 2-31. Marizanne Kapp took over where Capsey left off and boosted the total with an unbeaten 47 off 32 balls while Hayley Matthews bowled tightly to collect 2-18. Set the highest chase in the women's tournament at The Oval - and the fourth highest overall - Fire lost the dangerous Matthews early on for 12. Sophia Dunkley carried the charge and looked well poised to make a fist of it with a knock of 56 off 41 balls. But when she chipped Sophia Smale into the hands of Phoebe Franklin at long-off with the score on 90-6 and 29 balls Fire's hopes were effectively extinguished. Capsey also impressed with the ball, finishing with 2-16, as Fire were bowled out for 111 with Smale the pick of the attack after she snaffled 3-13. Invincibles' win lifts them up a place to fourth spot, level on eight points with fifth-placed Manchester Originals, while Fire are bottom on zero. The Hundred - fixtures, results & reports Rockets win after Hose suffers serious ankle injury Corteen-Coleman takes four as Brave beat Rockets The Hundred women's competition, Trent Bridge Trent Rockets 106 (100 balls): Gordon 32 (27); Corteen-Coleman 4-13 Southern Brave 109-4 (98 balls): Bouchier 42 (30), Devine 41* (42); King 1-23 Brave won by six wickets Scorecard. Table Teenager Tilly Corteen-Coleman claimed 4-13 as Southern Brave moved top of The Hundred standings with a six-wicket victory over Trent Rockets. The 17-year-old left-arm spinner helped reduce the Rockets to 55-8 before Kirstie Gordon's battling 32 from 27 boosted their total to 106. Corteen-Coleman's victims included England captain Nat Sciver-Brunt as she finished with her best figures in her 12th match of the tournament. England seamer Lauren Bell was also in the wickets as she snared an impressive 3-16 from her 20 balls to extend her lead as the top wicket-taker in this year's competition. Brave had a bit of top-order wobble at the start of the chase at 10-2 when Danni Wyatt-Hodge and Laura Wolvaardt departed for four and one respectively. Maia Bouchier steadied the ship with 42 off 30 balls in a 69-run stand with Sophie Devine, only to be stumped after dancing down the pitch to Aussie all-rounder Alana King. Some tight bowling from Ash Gardner, Heather Graham and King ensured the game went down to the final set of five balls but Devine's unbeaten 41 ensured Brave got home with two balls to spare. Brave are now four points clear of second-placed Northern Superchargers at the top of the table on 16 points while the Rockets remain in sixth. What is happening on Sunday? Rockets' Aussies eclipsed by Southern Brave starlet

Australian trio Ash Gardner, Alana King and Heather Graham were powerless to prevent their Trent Rockets side slipping to a six-wicket defeat by a teenager-inspired Southern Brave in the Hundred at Trent Bridge. Spinner Tilly Corteen-Coleman, 17, took 4-13, including Bryony Smith for 10 and England captain Nat Sciver-Brunt without scoring in her opening spell. Gardner, the Rockets captain, showed some defiance, hitting 25 from 16 balls before being bowled by Lauren Bell while King made an undefeated 24. The other batters fell away with Corteen-Coleman going on to dismiss Graham for three and Emma Jones for another duck. Elsewhere, Sophia Smale took 3-13 as Oval Invincibles produced a comfortable victory over Welsh Fire. The visitors, set a target of 151, were skittled for just 111 off 97 balls at The Oval despite opener Sophia Dunkley hitting 56. Invincibles captain Lauren Winfield-Hill had earlier suffered a first-ball duck but Alice Capsey starred with 55 as they posted 5-150. Australian opener Meg Lanning hit 23 before falling lbw and compatriot Amanda-Jade Wellington added 17. Wellington then took the wickets of Hayley Matthews and Georgia Davis to finish with figures of 2-24 while Lanning took two catches.
