Askren was in a critical condition and "unresponsive" in a Vegas hospital, according to his wife Amy.
But according to the 40-year-old's good friend, Daniel Cormier, he's now been moved to a different hospital.
The former two-division UFC champion said of his podcast host: 'Ben Askren, our good friend from 'Funky and the Champ', is having a hard time.
'That night that we did the last episode of 'Funky and the Champ', Ben was complaining about some issues.
"He had some infections. He had a really tough time when he went to that convention in Vegas, he was stuck there for a while.
'I wanna report to you guys that he's now back home in Wisconsin. He's with his family, his beautiful wife, Amy.
'Everybody is just kind of praying that Ben gets better and we can start moving forward with life for Ben.
'It's so sad. I don't know how things like this happen to someone who is so good because Ben Askren is a good guy.

'Pray for Amy, guys. Pray for the kids. Ben, we love you, buddy. We are constantly thinking about him every single day.
'I cannot wait for the next 'Funky and the Champ' because we'll talk about that so much more.'
Ben Askren says he will not be back again after knockout loss to Jake Paul
Cormier's update came just hours after Amy was forced to deny swirling social media rumours that her husband had passed away.
She told TMZ her other half is "definitely still fighting".
Askren retired from mixed martial arts in November 2019 after going 1-2 in his three fights in the promotion.
But he briefly ended his combat sports retirement in April 2021 for a lucrative boxing match against Jake Paul, which he lost via first-round KO.

Mum-to-be slammed for naming her baby girl after global disaster because ‘it sounded nice'

Plus, the exact reason why the name is not appropriate NAME SHAME Mum-to-be slammed for naming her baby girl after global disaster because 'it sounded nice' EVER heard a name that left you completely gobsmacked? A post on Reddit has gone viral after a woman shared a baby shower invite, which revealed the name planned for an unborn baby. Sign up for Scottish Sun newsletter Sign up 3 The mum-to-be wanted to name her baby Chernobyl Hope Credit: Reddit Traditionally, parents share the name of their child after it's been born, rather than beforehand. This is usually down to superstition, but also to avoid scrutiny and negativity over the chosen name. Posting in the group r/tragedeigh, the Redditor said: "I'm speechless... "Welp.. I just got invited to a baby shower…" The invite read: "Please join us for a baby shower. Join us to celebrate the upcoming arrival of a little bundle of joy. "In honour of Chernobyl Hope." The time and place was redacted but the invite concluded with: "We can't wait to celebrate together." Someone replied: "I refuse to believe this is real lol." But the original poster added: "I have a feeling they don't know what Chernobyl meant. I asked them where they got the idea from and said it just sounded nice????" Another was unconvinced: "This has to be fake. There's no way this is real." But the OP doubled down: "Imagine my shock when I received the invite." The OP later explained how the parents of Chernobyl wanted their daughter to be known by the nickname 'Cherry'. I'm called 'selfish' for giving my baby a 'ridiculous' name - trolls say she won't get a job & slam my son's moniker too "I'll let you guys know when I have an update. This invitation was sent in a group chat and was also personally sent to me,' they added. 'I just can't believe they would name a baby girl Chernobyl. I'll gather enough courage to tell them my thoughts.' One comment read: "This has gotta be a top ten worst names posted in the sub." Someone else felt the baby name was finally suitable for the Reddit thread and said: "FINALLY! a child named after a LITERAL tragedeigh!" One person hoped the parents-to-be could be convinced to change their unborn baby's name: "Thankfully it's just the baby shower; there's still time for someone to talk sense into them." But another thought the name wasn't that uncommon: "I worked with a lady named Chernobyl. She went by Che." The struggle of choosing a baby name CHLOE Morgan, a Senior Writer at Fabulous, has revealed her dilemma on choosing a baby name... At 35 weeks pregnant, by far the trickiest part of pregnancy for me in the past few months (minus the insomnia and countless night-time wee breaks!) has been trying to decide on a baby name. The dilemmas are endless... My partner and I went for a private scan to find out the gender as early as we could - partly due to the fact we thought it would make baby naming so much easier because we'd only have to come up with a list of names for one gender rather than two. How wrong we were... I was absolutely thrilled to be told I was expecting the baby girl I'd already dreamed of, but being one of the last of my friends to fall pregnant, I've had countless conversations over the years with excited pals discussing their top baby which I wish I could go back in time and un-hear. With each friend mentioning at least 10 possible monikers, I can't help but feel like several are now a no-go even though I know it's something that none of them would mind in the slightest - it's a total me problem! The debate comes up time and time again on social media forums - can you choose the same name that was a "potential" for a friend's baby? It's a very divisive topic and opinions are always I don't want to be THAT person. While some will argue there's thousands of other names out there to choose from, others will say you need to choose YOUR all, there's no guarantee that person will even have another baby. Then there's also the issue of finding a name you to research it online and read one negative comment amongst hundreds of positives that you just can't shake off. I made that very mistake when I fell in love with a certain name (I won't reveal it because I don't want to ruin it for others!) ...only to see someone point out that it constantly gets autocorrected on a phone to something rather rude instead. So, back to the drawing board we went.. Just five weeks to go and it looks like our little one is going to be known as 'baby gal' for a little while longer! "Kid is going to think it's cool that she was named after a show and then find out the origins of her name, lol," a Redditor remarked. What is the meaning behind 'Chernobyl'? The word Chernobyl refers to the Chernobyl disaster which was a catastrophic nuclear accident that occurred on April 26, 1986, at the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant near Pripyat, in the Soviet Union. 3 View of the Chernobyl Nuclear power after the explosion on April 26 1986 in Chernobyl Credit: Getty During a late-night safety test, a sudden power surge led to a reactor explosion and fire, releasing massive amounts of radioactive material into the atmosphere. The explosion killed two workers immediately, and acute radiation sickness claimed 28 more lives within weeks. However, around 600,000 'liquidators,' involved in cleaning up the accident, were exposed to high doses of radiation, with various studies reporting that those affected by the blast could be in their thousands. The Chernobyl disaster was a devastating tragedy, meaning it's not a word associated with a person's name. But, there are other meanings to the word Chernobyl. One defended the possible new baby's name, writing: 'I mean, the word Chernobyl was originally the name of a common mugwort plant, a medicinal herb.' They followed up their sentiment with the phrase: 'But there's a reason we don't name children Adol[f] any longer, even if that name was relatively innocuous before 1939.' 'This is so, so bad. They have to be told. Give them a book about Chernobyl as a gift for the baby shower. Because no,' replied someone else.

Liam Gallagher slams Edinburgh Council for fat fan criticism

The comments from council officials were uncovered in secret safety briefings prepared for a multi-agency advisory group involving the council, emergency services and transport bodies. According to the documents, leaked to the Scottish Sun, officials warned of 'medium to high intoxication' levels among fans heading to the band's three sell-out concerts at Murrayfield in August. The briefings claimed the concerts — part of the Oasis Live '25 reunion tour — would draw 'a substantial amount of older fans', many of whom were 'middle-aged men' who 'take up more room', and that this should be considered 'when working out occupancy'. READ MORE Around 210,000 people are expected to attend the three concerts on August 8, 9 and 12, which coincide with the opening days of the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. Officials reportedly feared the scale of the shows could disrupt the arts festival and prompt performers to pull out. The secret briefings warned: 'Concerned about the safety of the Fringe and its performers. Many performers are considering not attending for that weekend.' Responding to the paper's report on X, Liam Gallagher said: 'To the Edinburgh council I've heard what you said about Oasis fans and quite frankly your attitude fucking stinks. I'd leave town that day if I was any of you lot.' He added: 'I'd love to see a picture of all the people on the Edinburgh council — bet there's some real STUNING individuals.' I'd love to see a picture of all the people on the Edinburgh council bet there's some real STUNING individuals — Liam Gallagher (@liamgallagher) June 15, 2025 The concerts are part of a global reunion tour that will see brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher perform together for the first time in 16 years. More than 17 million people reportedly tried to buy tickets for the 1.7 million available across the UK tour dates. David Walker, of the Oasis Collectors Group, told the Scottish Sun: 'To call fans drunk, middle-aged, and fat is a nasty, sneering stereotype — it's a jaundiced view. 'The fanbase has changed a lot — there's a new generation of young fans for a start, and parents are wanting to introduce their kids to Oasis for the first time. 'If reports of Edinburgh councillors' drunken parties are anything to go by, then they'd be better keeping their opinions to themselves. 'The return of Oasis will be hugely exciting for the city — everyone just needs to roll with it.' Fellow fan Sian Downes, from Hawick, said she was 'buzzing' for the shows, dismissing the council's fears as outdated and snobbish. 'As a lifelong Oasis superfan who happens to be female and not planning to be riotously intoxicated, I have to laugh,' she said. 'Some might say that's pretty outdated thinking from the council. Also, I highly doubt a single Fringe act will actually steer clear of Edinburgh because of the gigs — and let's face it, they're probably just a bit jealous. 'There's not a Fringe performer alive who could draw a crowd like that or create a movement like they have.' Edinburgh's Culture Convener, Margaret Graham, said: 'As with any major event which takes place in the city, we prepare extensively alongside our partners to ensure the safety and best possible experience of everyone involved — and Oasis are no different. 'No two events are the same in terms of requirements or planning and our multi-agency approach reflects this appropriately. 'We are also working closely with residents in the local area to make sure these concerts pass off as smoothly as possible. We are looking forward to seeing Oasis take to the stage.'

Held at Heaton Park, the Love Island star, 34, looked high-fashion at the two-day event where acts including 50 Cent, Charli XCX and Rudimental performed. The podcaster wore her long dark highlighted hair slicked back into a chic ponytail with gold hoops earrings. Wearing natural glossy make-up, the star looked more red carpet primed than down-and-dirty festival ready. Reality star Anna was joined at the music spectacular by reality stars Matilda Draper and Demi Sims at SHEIN's VIP party. She was joined by her sister Mandi who looked equally glam in a strapless blue mini dress and trainers. They mingled amongst fellow Love Islanders including Nicole Samuel, Jessy Potts, Kaz Crossley and Matilda Draper. Also on hand were Towie's Frankie and Demi Sims looking dressed to impress. Vakili shot to fame after appearing on Love Island in 2019 - but she failed to find love in the villa. She has since been in an on-off relationship with boyfriend Cowslick. Love Island star SPLITS from boyfriend just months after getting back together However, they've recently split shortly after getting back together. Earlier this year, she revealed that she'd dropped out of the last series of All Stars Love Island at the last minute. She explained that even though she went through the whole process to appear on the ITV2 show - including multiple meetings and STD and drug testing - it wasn't for her again. Looking for serious love, she told fans that she decided against it saying 'the kind of man I want to settle down with wouldn't really want a woman that's going on Love Island'. Anna recently posted a photo in a hospital gown, and revealed she'd completed her first round of egg freezing. The pharmacist admitted that although appearing on the 2019 series changed her life for the better financially, returning to the show would be "greedy". "The guy that I would want to marry now, would look down on that 'why you on there snogging different guys in a bikini'. "I'm a 34-year-old woman." It comes after Anna spoken candidly about a series of botched procedures she had in the hope of getting her 'perfect' body. She also revealed how much money she has wasted and what she has had done including three BBLs [Brazilian Bum Lift] and a boob job. Along with her sister Mandi, the pair host the popular podcast Sisters In The City. 5 Anna and her podcasting sister Mandi looked glam at the festival Credit: Getty 5 The newly-single star posed up a storm at Heaton Park VIP area Credit: Getty
