Jailed Albanian heroin dealer who kept photo of himself posing with £250,000 in cash is allowed to stay in the UK
The jailed Albanian heroin dealer who posed with £250,000 in cash has been told he will not be deported.
Olsi Beheluli, who came to the UK when he was nine, was sentenced to 11 years behind bars over his 'senior role' in a drug-dealing ring after he was caught with eight kilograms of high-purity heroin in 2015.
But The Home Office and National Crime Agency (NCA) have been told the former-'model' has to stay in the UK, despite their efforts to prove he fraudulently secured his British Citizenship, it was reported in The Telegraph.
They claimed that eight months before he was arrested for having £200-000 worth of heroin on him he said he was not involved in any criminal activities on his naturalisation application.
However they believe that only a senior member would be entrusted with such a valuable assignment.
Dealing with the huge amounts of drugs would go against his promise to officials at the time that there was nothing 'which reflected adversely on his character'.
A lower-tier tribunal judge dismissed this argument, arguing that there was no witness evidence or surveillance to support this.
The Home office said it was 'incredible' to presume this was his first time engaging in drug offences and that 'it is beyond logic to accept that [he] would be trusted with such a consignment of drugs if [he was] not already involved in the supply of Class A Drugs'.
A judge ruled that he would not be deported despite attempts from the Home Office because there was not enough evidence to suggest he had been involved in criminal activities before (pictured with a stash of £250,000 in cash)
When this went to a upper tribunal judge at a rehearing after the case was appealed, officials said Beheluli 'must have established a fairly senior role in the supply of heroin, since he was entrusted with more than eight kilograms of high-purity heroin with a street value of more than £200,000'.
The judge responded that the lack of evidence did not 'amount to a complete and incontrovertible answer to the common-sense point made by the Secretary of State'
Beheluli arrived in the UK in 2000 with his family who were granted discretionary leave to remain six years later.
The gangster, , who claimed he appeared on Channel 4 dating show My Little Princess, was on his way to a 'stash house' in north London when the cops descended on him.
Counterfeit identity documentation and scales were found at the Neasden address and when police searched Beheluli's phone, they discovered the shocking image of him next to £250,000 in cash - which he had also posted on X (then Twitter).
Beheluli tried to claim it was a relative's money and the photo was taken in Albania but detectives matched the distinctive wallpaper and furniture in the image to a picture of a home that Beheluli used to rent.
Beheluli stashed £24,000 in his bank account and told officers it was gambling winnings from the World Cup.
Officers found betting slips showing he had recently placed £12,000 stakes at Ladbrokes and William Hill.
The then-24-year-old enjoyed living the 'high life' and gambling with the money he made from the illegal operation, police said.
National Crime Agency branch commander Oliver Higgins said: 'Beheluli seemed to enjoy the high life and gambling with the money he made from drug dealing, but in the end his luck run out.
'These men were involved in supplying significant quantities of high-purity class A drugs, as demonstrated by the value of the cash, cocaine and heroin we have seized from them.
'But they were unaware that they were being watched by the NCA, and their arrest and subsequent conviction should have the wider criminal fraternity looking over their shoulders.'
Blackfriars Crown Court found him guilt of conspiring to supply class A drugs in April 2015 alongside fellow gang members Besim Topalli, then 29, and Azem Proshka, then 23 - the trio in total received a sentence of 31 years in prison.
At the time, it was reported Proshka and Topalli will be deported after they serve ten years in prison after admitting conspiring to supply drugs, money laundering and possessing fake ID documents.

Predator who carried ‘rape kit' while posing as Uber driver to attack young women found guilty of kidnap and sex assault
A VILE sex predator carried a "rape kit" while posing as an Uber driver to attack his victims. Graham Head was today found guilty of attempting to rape one woman and sexually assaulting another in attacks around Brighton and Hove. 5 5 In July 2023, the 68-year-old was sentenced to 23 years behind bars for kidnap, attempted rape and assault by penetration relating to two female victims. But the Court of Appeal overturned his conviction in November 2024 after a complaint from the sex predator concerning the Judge who had ruled in the first trial. Head appeared at Lewes Crown Court for his retrial today, where a jury again found him guilty of all counts. The twisted fake taxi driver is set to be sentenced on August 25. Shocking footage of Head's arrest in 2022 showed the moment he was stopped by cops with a "rape" kit. Jurors at Lewes Crown Court previously heard how a 25-year-old female victim had managed to read his number plate after being attacked. The woman reported waking up in a car, which she thought was a taxi, to find a man sexually assaulting her. She had gotten into the car earlier that night, to travel from Brighton to Hove. The victim escaped at around 3am and called 999 to report being assaulted by a man in latex gloves and a Covid mask. The court was told Head was a "sexual predator" who "slipped up" the night he was arrested. In footage shown to jurors, police can be seen talking to the 68-year-old after pulling him over in Brighton. As he is speaking, police decide to search his car where they found latex gloves, viagra, condoms and a balaclava that formed a rape kit. When asked why he had the condoms and viagra, Head said: "I'm a normal red blooded male". Police also found business cards advertising him as a "N-Uber driver" that had the slogan "Safe and Reliable - For All Occasions". Head was also found guilty of assaulting a 19-year-old woman he picked up near Hove Park. She was pulled into bushes where the predator attempted to rape her, after the victim initially took a lift from him. The two attacks took place in the early hours of August 19 and November 18, 2022. Detective Constable Elliott Lander from the Surrey and Sussex Major Crime Team said: 'Graham Head has twice tried to evade justice for his despicable crimes, and now twice been convicted by separate juries. 'His refusal to accept responsibility for his offending has forced his victims to relive the traumatic attacks carried out by him. The impact on them and their families cannot be overstated, and I commend all involved for their strength and courage in such challenging circumstances. 'Head will remain in prison, as he has throughout this process, as we await resentencing.' One of Head's victims, a 25-year-old woman, tragically passed away last year. Her heartbroken mum released the following emotional statement: "Regardless of the outcome of this trial and independently of the jury's verdicts on each of the charges that Graham Head has just faced, I want to say a few words on behalf of my daughter. "My (only) daughter tragically died in late 2024 – a couple days after being informed by the CPS that Graham Head had been successful in appealing his conviction for kidnap of my daughter and for causing serious sexual harm to her and to another even younger female victim. "I feel strongly that I need to protect the anonymity of my own and my daughter's friends and the families and friends of Graham Head's victims. "However, I want to recognise and say my own deep thanks for the strong and compassionate support that my daughter, myself, and our family have received from the Police, the CPS, the witness service, and the Courts over the past two years. "This retrial process has been tremendously difficult and a huge strain for all of us; we're glad it is now over. "I'm especially grateful for the attuned support of the Sexual Offences Investigation Team (SOIT) and the Independent Sexual Violence Advocacy (ISVA) service who supported my daughter every step of the way through the challenges of bringing this man to justice on both trials. "Looking to my family's future following my daughter's death, my biggest hope is that other families can now hopefully feel much safer knowing that this dangerous man is no longer able to predate and attack any other vulnerable young local woman thanks to his deserved (re)conviction for these appalling offences. "My other hope is that, if there are other young women who feel they may have narrowly escaped or fallen victim to this sexual predator, then they will hopefully be reassured by my daughter's and our family's experience that they will be listened to, supported, and well cared for by the Police and Court systems." 5 5

Why the Premier League has fined Man City £1m
Manchester City have been fined more than £1m by the Premier League for breaching the rules around delayed kick-offs and restarts nine times last season, England's top-flight league said on Thursday. The fine comes a year after City paid £2m to the league for breaching the same game-delay rules. The club accepted and apologised for the rule breaches, and confirmed they have reminded their players and staff of their responsibilities in complying with the rules. "Rules relating to kick-offs and re-starts help ensure the organisation of the competition is set at the highest possible professional standard and provides certainty to fans and participating clubs," the league said in a statement. "It also ensures the broadcast of every Premier League match is kept to schedule." Fines totalling £1m pounds were imposed relating to City's home games against Southampton, Tottenham Hotspur, Nottingham Forest, Manchester United, West Ham United and Newcastle United and their away fixtures against Crystal Palace, Aston Villa and Ipswich Town. The longest game delays were two minutes 22 seconds each for restarts v West Ham and Ipswich. City are awaiting the verdict of 115 unrelated charges of alleged breaches of the Financial Fair Play (FFP) rules. The charges cover a period starting from 2009 and continuing into the 2022-23 season. City have always denied any wrongdoing.

Deputy headteacher, 51, who had sex with schoolgirl is married to former student and has children with her, court hears
A former deputy head teacher who is accused of having sex with a 16-year-old pupil is married to another former student, a court has heard. John Harvey, 51, who was an English teacher and safeguarding lead at Penryn College in Cornwall, allegedly had sex with the teenager in his car and at her home while her father was away. He is on trial this week at Truro Crown Court facing two counts of inappropriate sexual behaviour with the girl - who cannot be named for legal reasons - while being in a position of trust and abusing that trust. Harvey denies the two charges in relation to alleged incidents which are said to have happened several years ago. Jurors heard today that Harvey, from Perranwell Station, is actually married to a former pupil of his with whom he has children and has been with for more than 20 years. She is not the alleged victim in the trial. Emma Stokes, who was also taught by Harvey for two years, told the court that Harvey's wife is her best friend, adding that she was a bridesmaid at their wedding and is a godmother to one of their children. She described the couple's relationship as very 'loving, caring, honest' and said they remained very much in love after all these years. Ms Stokes said: 'I've never had any reason to doubt or question anything about his behaviour. There has never been a moment that I have had any doubt whatsoever that he absolutely loves [his wife] and the girls.' Ms Stokes took to the stand as part of Harvey's defence and told the court that she was taught by him for two years and that they remain friends to this day. She met him during her time at the college where he taught her media studies for her two final years of school. She described how she still travels to Cornwall to spend time with the former teacher who taught her best friend at Penryn College. The former Metropolitan police officer turned transformational therapist, now of Milton Keynes, said: 'He was the best teacher I would say, in my opinion. He was the teacher that everybody wanted to be in the class with. 'He had this amazing respect for the pupils. He was very easily relatable and just made you feel heard and listened to.' Her two younger brothers also attended the school and were taught by Harvey. Her two nieces are still at the school, one of whom was also taught by Harvey for a time. Ms Stokes explained that Harvey is married to her best friend and that she was a bridesmaid at their wedding and is a godmother to one of their children. As such they have spent lots of social occasions together. Asked by the prosecution how she knew her best friend, Ms Stokes explained that they went to school together and were in the same year. She said they didn't have the same classes but confirmed that Harvey taught his partner English at school while she was taught media. 'I first became aware of their relationship when me and [Harvey's wife] were going to Truro College together,' she explained when asked what she knew of when their relationship first began. Ms Stokes' father, David O'Neil, also a former police officer, who served for Devon and Cornwall Police, also took to the witness stand during which he described Harvey as having 'integrity' and being 'an honest man'. That concludes the evidence in the trial.
