Want to lose weight but have no time for the gym? Follow Surbhi Chandna's weight loss mantra
Many celebrities have been following the same mantra, including one of the television industry's most loved and famous faces - Surbhi Chandna.
The actress who stunned all with her looks, style, and acting chops, followed two simple rules during her weight loss journey, and trust us when we say, going to the gym was not one of them.
What inspired Surbhi Chandna's weight loss journey?
In an earlier interview with us, Surbhi Chandna candidly shared what prompted her weight loss journey.
Though the actress was not on the heavier side of the scale, she did struggle with a few extra kilos, which she said she had to get rid of when she signed 'Naagin 5.'
"I had to say bye-bye to all the happy weight and bring a transformation because my character needed that," she said before adding, "If you're playing a naagin, you need to look sexy, and someone who can easily do the stunts. The previous seasons' actresses, who played naagins, had already set a bar so high that it was important to look different and set a new trend."
Surbhi Chandna's weight loss journey - Two simple rules
Rule No. 1: Eating right
As aforeshared, a controlled healthy diet was one of the key parts of Surbhi's weight loss journey. The actress told us, "I ate all the right things for the entire year."
Her diet included jowar bhakri (chappati), rice, veggies, chicken, and fish. But were there cheat days? Of course! Though Surbhi avoided junk food as much as possible, she didn't hesitate to indulge in her favorite dishes on cheat days. And yes, when you say cheat day, she said, pav bhaji and pizza.
Rule No. 2: Staying physically active
Though indeed Surbhi didn't go to the gym, as her tightly packed work schedule didn't allow her, she was physically active throughout the day.
"When I signed up for the show, I did not have time to go to the gym, because we were shooting for 12-13 hours. Naagin is not a show that requires you to be in one place throughout the day. The show had a fast pace, we had to run around a lot because of outdoor scenes, and do a lot of stunts and action scenes. This helped me burn my calories, so I was burning good calories on the sets," said the actress.
Although Surbhi Chandna couldn't find time to work out while filming 'Naagin 5,' she revealed that she incorporates Zumba and Pilates into her fitness routine to stay in shape.
