Among its ranks were Rob Lowe,
Demi Moore

Tom Cruise
, Nicolas Cage, Sean Penn, Emilio Estevez and Matt Dillon.
Andrew made his feelings clear on the title, telling The Times: "Who wants to be called a brat? Who wants to be lumped into a pack? The public went, 'Oh my God, we love that!' Whereas the industry perceived it as a very negative indictment.'
At the same time his star was soaring, Andrew had an addiction to alcohol, which he eventually sought help for in 1992.

He began drinking when he was 12 and insists he'd have abused booze irrespective of his fame.
'I abused alcohol — that's no secret," he said. "I just got to drink better vodka because I was in the movies. It affected my career, and it took me several years to realise I had a problem.'
He's now been sober for 33 years.
Though he has landed roles consistently through the 90s and noughties, he hasn't recaptured the same level of fame that both blessed and cursed him in the 80s.

People are realising the reason Mr Whippy ice creams with flakes are called 99s & it's nothing to do with price

Plus, top ten ice cream flavours, according to Brits FOR GOODNESS FLAKE People are realising the reason Mr Whippy ice creams with flakes are called 99s & it's nothing to do with price MUCH of the UK is currently enjoying glorious weather - which also means cooling down with an ice cream. Many sun-loving Brits will be racing to the nearest Mr Whippy van to get their hands on a frozen treat, whether that's Twister, Fab or rocket ice lollies. Credit: Alamy However, there's one ice cream more legendary than any other - the classic 99 flake. Inflation means you can no longer pick up a Flake 99 for a mere 99p - leading many sweet fans to wonder where the name actually comes from. Given that 99 cones used to be priced under a quid, many tend to assume that's how they acquired their iconic name. However, contrary to popular opinion, the moniker derives from the flake rather than the ice cream itself. Reportedly, Cadbury - the brand behind the flakes - opted to choose the numeric name to attract Italian customers. The sweet manufacturer disclosed that they initiated this practice back in 1930. A spokesperson on the Cadbury website explained: "An ice cream served in a cone with a Flake 99 is the UK's favourite ice cream. UK Basks in Glorious Sunshine: Thousands Flock to Beaches as Heatwave Hits "When Cadbury launched its small Flake for ice creams in 1930, the UK ice cream industry was dominated by expat Italians. ''So, to appeal to Italians we called our superb Flake a '99'." Advertisement An even more arcane fact is that the number 99 is IC in Roman numerals - the initials of "ice cream". Yellow heat health alerts, issued by the UK Health Security Agency, are in place for most of England – excluding the north-east and north-west – from Monday to Wednesday. The Met Office said: "A combination of high pressure and a southerly airflow will see temperatures rise for much of England and Wales in the first half of the week. In London, temperatures are forecast to reach 29C on Monday, rise to 32C on Tuesday and hit 28C on Wednesday. Highs of 32C are expected on Wednesday while temperatures could reach 31C on Monday. The Met Office says the official heatwave criteria will be met across many areas, with three consecutive days of temperatures above thresholds that range between 25C and 28C depending on location. Advertisement The warm spell marks a sharp turnaround from earlier in the week when Storm Floris brought heavy rain and strong winds to parts of the UK. Forecasters say hot air will be drawn up from the south due to the interaction between high pressure drifting across southern Britain and an area of low pressure. England and Wales will enjoy the best of the sunshine, although a few scattered thunderstorms are possible. Meanwhile, Northern Ireland and Scotland can expect outbreaks of rain at times, especially on Monday.

‘He opened doors for us', says Hollywood's Mel Gibson as he reveals who helped Braveheart film in Ireland 30 years later

HOLLYWOOD star Mel Gibson thrills fans as he returns to Meath, to celebrate 30 years since Braveheart was filmed there. Mel, 69, signed posters at the Trim Castle Hotel and posed for a selfie with fans, including Adam Walker and his son Nathan. Many fans were seen queuing at Trim Castle Hotel to meet the famous Gibson and other Braveheart cast members. And a young fan, Maksim Okhotnikov, aged 8, dressed up as Braveheart hero William Wallace in a costume created by his mother for the event. He revealed to PA News Agency that he didn't watch the entire film except for some clips due to the age cert, which is rated 16+. Adam and his son, Nathan, aged 7, were among the first people into the room to meet the cast of Braveheart. Talking to the PA, Adam said: "Obviously he's too young to watch the full movie, so I was trying to show him the quotes, the big freedom speech at the end of the movie. "We were watching that, we were watching the mad Irishman of course: David O'Hara who plays Stephen of Ireland. Advertisement "We were at the Q&A yesterday and a lot of the lads pointed out that the actors said the thing that it did was it really changed things, Ireland seemed to really latch onto it, there was a lot of similarities between the Irish and the Scottish, but it seemed to call out to everybody. "We were looking for a wedding venue 12 years back and we were looking everywhere and we found here, it was lovely, the prices were great, and then I read at the end the castle was where Braveheart was filmed. Pubgoers shocked as they spot Hollywood A-lister sinking pints outside London pub "I said to my wife 'we're doing it' so we got married in the room just there and we had the castle as the backdrop." Adam pointed out that it was unreal to return to the same venue and meet the very Mel Gibson in the flesh. Advertisement HOLLYWOOD STAR'S TRUTH The classic film had some of its key scenes filmed in Ireland, although the film is set in Scotland. This was due to the Irish government lobbying and offering to supply 1,600 army reserves as extras in order to help their film productions while gaining some potential tourism. Mel Gibson also revealed to RTE News that they struggled to film big battle scenes in Scotland due to the ground not being 'friendly' enough for the horses. This led the whole film production to relocate to Ireland to film the battle scenes, with scenes filmed in Kildare, Meath and Wicklow. Advertisement He also told how then Arts Minister Michael D Higgins helped get the flick made, adding: "He opened doors for us." It was said that the President welcomed the whole cast with open arms at the time, making their production more seamless and efficient. 5 Maksim Okhotnikov dressed up as William Wallace, a character that Mel plays Credit: 2025 PA Media, All Rights Reserved 5 Many fans were thrilled to meet the cast at the event Credit: 2025 PA Media, All Rights Reserved

Myleene Klass's ex husband hits back after cheating claim and says he's banned from seeing his daughters

MYLEENE Klass's ex husband has hit back at the popstar and broadcaster and claimed he's been banned from seeing his kids. It comes after the Hear'say hitmaker, 47, candidly opened up on her former husband Graham Quinn's alleged "cheating" with a fellow celebrity. 6 Myleene Klass' ex husband Graham Quinn has hit back at the popstar amid 'cheating' claims Credit: Alamy 6 Myleene recently told how her ex had cheated with a fellow celeb on an explosive podcast interview Credit: Getty 6 In a resurfaced interview, Graham has claimed Myleene wouldn't let him see their daughters Credit: Getty - Contributor During a recent episode of Paul Carrick Brunson's We Need To Talk podcast, Myleene told how she walked in on her then partner, 51, and another woman unzipping each other's clothes at her birthday party. The Pure and Simple hitmaker — who wouldn't divulge the female's name but said she built her career off a 'family brand' — revealed: 'I walked in on him with a famous person on my birthday on a balcony. It was in my house." Now Graham, with whom she shares two daughters, has clapped back. Pals of the music manager have suggested she is a "vindictive bully." A source told MailOnline: "He thinks she's a bully. "They believe it was especially 'vindictive and calculated' of Myleene to launch the bombshell broadside on what she would have known was the week of Graham's 51st birthday." PARENTING CLASH As the cheat claims swirl, Graham's past comments about his parenting with MBE winner Myleene - who scooped her accolade services to women's health - have resurfaced. In lines contained in a historic chat with Fathers4Justice, which have only recently resurfaced, the security manager said Myleene had "actively denied" him access to his two kids. He suggested he was "banging his head against a brick wall" in his attempts for access. In the piece Graham, who is based in Ibiza, wrote: "I haven't seen my kids in years. Watch the awkward moment feuding stars Myleene Klass and Frankie Bridge come face to face on live TV "The only exception is when Myleene begrudgingly met me in a car park off the North Circular Road in 2014. "She lowered the window about three inches and I could see the girls in the back. That was it. "I've thrown so much more money at it [trying to see his daughters] and I can't afford much more. "I've spent £20,000 and am probably further away from them now than I've ever been. "It's like banging my head against a brick wall. "I've missed so many birthdays and Christmas days. I'll never get that back." Graham, who married Myleene in 2011 and was with the star until their split in 2013, also opened up on the impact on his mental health. He told how he was depressed "for years" and sought counselling daily. In his piece, he added: "I've tried to get Myleene to see the light, but she's not interested. "She knows how much I love those girls and that it's destroying me, but she doesn't care – she's got them all to herself and loves it. "I don't even know where they live any more. I can't see them and I can't speak to them on the phone. I'm blocked on Twitter and Instagram, so can't see photos of them." Myleene's rep had no comment when approached. CHEAT CLAIMS Graham and Myleene met when he worked as a security guard for Myleene's pop group. They had what was described as a "private, intimate" wedding in Norwich where just 16 family and friends were invited. In the recent podcast, Myleene recently opened up on the infidelity claims. She explained of Graham and the unnamed famous face: "It was my party. "They weren't having sex, but they were unzipping each other. '[They said] 'It's not what you think', but it is what I think. It's the first thing they both said." Myleene admitted she struggled to see the woman after the run-in, explaining: 'I've made peace with that situation now. 'But for a long time, it was very difficult to see their life . . . Not that I would wish that on a family. I don't know, I feel conflicted. 'But my life literally just broke apart very, very publicly. 'And their life, they've managed to continue building a family brand on it and it felt so difficult for a long time. This is the person I caught him with.' Myleene went on to marry Quinn, but they split not long after the wedding. She said: 'On the day he decided it was over, he pushed a little Post-It note across the table with the figure he wanted. 'I was just like, 'How have you figured this out?'.' But Myleene — who is now engaged to PR guru Simon Motson — added: 'All I will say to you is I've raised my children single-handedly, financially, as a sole parent for 12 years.' 'NO LONGER SCARED' Myleene admitted she's "no longer scared" to be disliked after becoming a resilient woman over years of being knocked down. "My life has been played out in public for 26 years. I've lost relationships, been turned over (by men, not all men, but always men) and had to rebuild on more than one occasion," she said. "I've also won. I won my jungle crown, my MBE, my family, my place and my peace. "I don't care if people like me anymore, I'm not the terrified 20-year-old girl from Hear'Say being pelted with chow mein on stage for trying to sing a few songs. "I'm no longer the girl who watched her life go up in smoke, fighting for everything I'd built from people who'd meticulously planned how to take it. "I've been torn down by those who were meant to love me, I think I'll be ok. In fact, I know I will. A mixed race girl, from Norfolk, no one expected much (my school report proves this). "I learned to hustle, stand up for myself and leave the betrayals behind. "Who knew being a Mum would be the making of me, as failing meant my children failing (including the ones I never got to hold) and that was never going to happen." 6 Myleene and Graham Quinn married in 2011 Credit: X 6 Sources have claimed Graham thinks Myleene is a bully Credit: Alamy
