ITV Emmerdale fans 'work out' Aidan Moore's real father and he's a Dingle legend

Daily Record01-05-2025

Emmerdale viewers believe they have uncovered the true identity of Aidan Moore's dad and he's a very well known face around the village.
ITV Emmerdale viewers are abuzz with speculation about the real identity of Aidan Moore's dad and they're convinced he is linked to one of the show's most well known families - the Dingles. The name Aidan first came about last year after the introduction of newcomer John Sugden, played by Oliver Farnworth.
He raised eyebrows upon his arrival in the Dales as he claimed to be the long lost son of Jack Sugden, portrayed by the late Clive Hornby. John quickly made an impression among the village folk in the soap as he bonded with newfound relatives like his sister Victoria, played by Isabel Hodgins and even quickly found love which turned into an engagement with none other than Aaron Dingle, played by Danny Miller.

However, the plot thickened last year on the ITV soap when Victoria uncovered dog tags with the inscription 'Aidan Moore' on them. John claimed that Aidan was a former comrade of his during his army days in Afghanistan.

He recounted a harrowing tale of him and Aidan playing football with a local child and claimed that Aidan had tragically perished following an explosion that had been orchestrated at their military base, Belfast Live reports.
Visibly emotional, John told Vic: "I could see the fear in his eyes, I held his hand as he slowly slipped away."
However, a shocking twist has left fans on edge as it has came to light that the so-called war hero John has kept tight-lipped on the secret visits he has been making to a man in hospital who is in a coma.
This man is actually Aidan Moore, alive and unknowingly entangled in John's web of lies.
Aidan's mother, Kathleen also stopped by to visit her son and ran into John and the pair seemed to get along well.

Despite efforts to keep it a secret, John's family recently discovered that Aidan was in fact not dead.
In recent scenes, John attended a job interview at the hospital and Aaron decided they ought to drop in on Aidan too.

However, Emmerdale enthusiasts are now buzzing with speculation that there's more to Aidan Moore's storyline than meets the eye.
Exchanging their theories online, some viewers have begun to suspect an unexpected heritage for Aidan.
Posting on an Emmerdale fan forum page on Facebook, one viewer wrote: "There is still more to come about Aidan. Why he's in hospital, how he ended there."

Calling for a Dingle family revelation, another fan chimed in: "Calling it now Zak Dingle (Steve Halliwell) is his real father."
Echoing this sentiment, a third person agreed: "Wouldn't put past the writers."
Building on the theory, someone else added: "Maybe his mum in the hospital adopted him and his real parents are actually Zak and Lisa."

Jail violence falls when Love Island is on TV as lags are hooked, claim prison officers

'Officers are delighted when it starts, as it makes their lives easier and they get some respite' CAPTIVE AUDIENCE Jail violence falls when Love Island is on TV as lags are hooked, claim prison officers Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) PRISON officers say they are delighted Love Island is back on telly tonight — because warring inmates put their differences aside to follow the hit ITV dating show. Sign up for the Entertainment newsletter Sign up One insider said you can 'hear a pin drop' at West London's Feltham prison for adult males and juveniles, Britain's most violent jail, at 9pm each night during the programme's run. There are fewer assaults on guards and fellow inmates as prisoners are glued to the show, hosted by Maya Jama. A source said: 'Attacks go down in the summer while Love Island is on. "Gangs put their differences aside. 'Officers are delighted when it starts, as it makes their lives easier and they get some respite. "Prisoners all discuss which girls they fancy — and which boys give them the hump.' The source added: 'The boys at Feltham aren't usually scared of punishments — the only thing that makes them behave is the fear of losing their TV during Love Island. 'They are all banged up by 9pm when it starts and it's the only time you will be able to hear a pin drop on a prison wing. Katie Price sends son Harvey back to college early after he 'smashes' £3k TV

Katie Price previously revealed that Harvey is "on the verge of a heart attack" after tipping the scales at 30 stone Katie Price has revealed that her son Harvey had to return to college earlier than planned after he wrecked her telly. The ex-glamour model took to Snapchat to recount the episode in which her eldest boy "smashed" the £3,000 set. Harvey, aged 23, left his mum gobsmacked when his tantrum resulted in the need for a fresh TV. The mother of five relayed the tale to her social media fans before explaining to her son the repercussions of his behaviour. ‌ In the video, Katie captured Harvey, who is visually impaired due to septo-optic dysplasia, a brain development disorder, and also has autism and Prader-Willi Syndrome, a rare genetic condition that can lead to overeating. ‌ She described being roused by the noise of the telly breaking at six in the morning. In the footage, Katie, 47, enquired: "What has mummy just heard?" To which Harvey calmly responded: "Smashing the TV." Asking more about what happened, Harvey claimed something on the screen had annoyed him. However, she later expressed scepticism to her followers, saying nothing was probably on the screen at the time, reports the Mirror. Katie then informed Harvey: "You was going to college tomorrow to get some new meds [medication], but now when are you going? You are going now." A downcast Harvey uttered: "Oh god," as his mum clarified that she needed to send him back so she could sort out a new telly for the house. She labelled the whole scenario as "sad". Later, Harvey said sorry to the former glamour model and promised it wouldn't occur again. ‌ Katie insisted to her son: "Well you've got to go to collage now and get some meds." Katie commemorated Harvey's 23rd birthday last month with a heartfelt display of affection. She posted a lovely snapshot on Instagram showing her and Harvey cosying up in bed before his birthday festivities. ‌ On Bank Holiday Monday, Katie shared her delight over Harvey reaching another milestone on her Instagram stories. The charming post featured the pair lying cheek-to-cheek in bed, having a leisurely day relaxing at home. Brimming with anticipation for the celebration ahead, Katie said: "Bank holiday cuddles before lots of celebrations tomorrow." ‌ It comes amid Katie's transparency about Harvey's escalating health issues as he tipped the scales at 30 stone. In a frank conversation with her sister Sophie on The Katie Price Show, Katie did not shy away from discussing the gravity of their circumstances. "He's just under 30st and that's huge," she disclosed. "He's on the verge of a heart attack. He won't have a long life if he carries on putting more and more weight on." Katie then revealed that they are actively collaborating with a medical team to attempt to improve his health. Join the Daily Record WhatsApp community! Coronation Street star welcomes second baby with unique and 'beautiful' name

Rebecca Ryan, who played Lydia Chambers on the cobbles, has given birth to her second child with husband Dan. Coronation Street's Rebecca Ryan has given birth to her second child. The former cobbles star, known for her role as Lydia Chambers, shared the delightful arrival of her newest daughter with husband Dan Acram. The soap actress announced the heartwarming news on Instagram, two years after their first child Aurora was born. She introduced her bundle of joy to her followers with a sweet reveal - and an even sweeter, stand-out moniker. ‌ "Introducing the newest member of my little girl gang, the adorable Oriana," Rebecca, 34, wrote. The name Oriana shares a Latin root with Aurora and is linked to the Latin meaning for gold, 'aurum', and dawn or sunrise, 'oriens'. ‌ Her brother Jack, who also appeared in the ITV soap as Jacob Hay, raced to share his delight in the comment section, gushing: "Proof that the first time wasn't a fluke, you make the most beautiful babies." Congratulatory messages poured in from Rebecca's Corrie colleagues, including Sally Carman who raved: "She's beautiful! Congratulations to you both!" and Elle Mulvaney who added: "congratulations she is beautiful." The mum-of-two also shared an adorable Instagram snap of Dan and Aurora carrying Oriana out of hospital in a car seat with the caption: "Family," followed by a pink love heart. Van Morrison's 'Days Like This' played over the Story. Rebecca has showcased her talent across various popular series such as Waterloo Road, Casualty, and Shameless. Prior to giving birth, she documented her pregnancy journey online with snapshots depicting her growing bump. ‌ "Sleeps overrated anyway, here comes baby No.2," she wrote in her latest pregnancy announcement. The touching post was followed by a red heart emoji. ‌ Rebecca and her husband have been eagerly showing off their firstborn daughter on social media since she arrived in 2023. Last year, Rebecca delighted followers with charming snaps of her darling girl celebrating her first birthday. Taking to Instagram, Rebecca wrote: "My darling girl Aurora, where has this year gone? "The immeasurable joy and love you have brought into my life is something I will be forever thankful for. ‌ "Your cheeky smile lights up every room, and I just love watching you grow and change every single day. "You are the best thing that has ever happened to me. Happy 1st birthday my girl." The arrival of a second child will add another member to Rebecca's expanding clan, which features her accomplished sibling, also known for his soap work. ‌ Audiences were surprised to hear that Rebecca and Jack were siblings when she joined the cast of the beloved British soap shortly after Jack began playing Jacob. Even the showrunners were taken aback when they discovered that the two were related upon casting them as principal stars. Reflecting on the reaction, Rebecca told The Mirror: "Nobody at 'Coronation Street' had any idea. "When I joined, I'd be talking to people and say, 'Oh, yeah, my brother works here'. And they'd go, 'Really, who's your brother? What? Jack!' "It's a dream come true to be working on the show at the same time, but it's a total coincidence." Join the Daily Record WhatsApp community!
