This 'little ball of power' is going to replace my power strip and make a beautiful addition to my nightstand.
Charging your devices may seem like a no-brainer task, but it can actually be anxiety-provoking: What if your charging brick unknowingly comes loose and your laptop loses power before you've had a chance to save that important document?
Or you've accidentally let your phone's battery dwindle to 10% right before heading out on a day-long excursion with no outlets in sight? Or maybe that charging cable is too long? Too short? Too easily tripped over? And let's not even talk about the inherent messiness and large footprint of a power strip full of plugs and cords…
Thankfully, trusted charging brand Anker has a nifty little device that solves all of these problems: The MagGo Magnetic Charging Station.
Even if your device's battery is always at a healthy 80% and you rarely give your chargers a second thought, there's a good chance you may be charging everything all wrong. Using a charger with too much power and overheating your device is bad for its battery long-term, according to previous HuffPost reporting.

And the faster you sap your battery's overall health, the sooner you'll need to replace it — or buy a new device altogether. The MagGo makes it easy to look after your device's battery health without too much hassle.
First, let's talk looks. The MagGo has a sleek, downright space-age look that oozes modern minimalism.
It's unquestionably much more attractive than your standard power strip and tangle of cables, and its circular shape and artfully-placed charging stations (a MagSafe charger in front, multiple ports and outlets in back) also make it far less obtrusive. Available in black or white and measuring a mere 4.33 inches in diameter, it's actually a pleasure to display.
What's more, the MagGo is a pro at preserving the health of your batteries overall.
Amazon
Its intelligent design ensures over-voltage, over-current and short-circuit protection by automatically adjusting its power output according to each device — because your earbuds need less juice than your computer. Its high-conductive aluminum body dissipates heat quickly, monitoring temperature more than 3 million times per so your internal systems don't get scorched.
And as for what you can charge, that all depends on how you want to allocate the MagGo's eight power stations: Two USB ports, two USB-C ports, and three three-pronged outlets in the back take care of anything with a cord, while the ultra-strong MagSafe charger in front is reserved exclusively for your phone.
Speaking of your phone, there are a few things to note: While the MagGo's rear ports can accommodate an array of devices, the MagSafe charger is only compatible with iPhones that support magnetic charging — models 12 and above — and only functions properly with operating systems updated to at least iOS 17.2. It also requires a phone case that's either MagSafe-compatible, or no more than 2.5 millimeters thick.
If your iPhone model is up to the task, then this purchase should be a no-brainer. (Honestly, even if you're not an iPhone user, this visually pleasing powerhouse is still worth considering for all of your other devices.) But if you're still on the fence, these testimonials from happy customers should be all the convincing you need.
'I purchased this to use with my iPhone 15 Pro on my Nightstand. I use my Phone as my alarm clock (like most people) and I LOVE the standby feature on the iPhone. This charging station allows my to set my phone in any orientation, as well as providing me an outlet for my lamp and my CPAP. I also use the USB ports to charge my FitBit. I was able to eliminate a lot of clutter and a traditional power strip under the bed. I have also taken it with me on a trip, which eliminated the need for me to pack a power strip and USB charging block.' — Marcus.L.M
'To start off - I love the Anker brand. Their products tend to be really well made, head and tails above their competitors. [...] The magsafe attachment on front is great, very strong and Qi2 really does charge quickly. It also stays cooler than I expected while charging.' — IggyBlue
'This is a great wireless phone charger for your nightstand. Multiple additional USB ports on the back of it. A good weight and a thick cord. Was a great purchase. ' — TeeBird
'Fantastic desktop charger. I have two of these now. One on my nightstand and one on my home office desk. They have made a huge impact to the cable clutter on both. There is enough power available to charge almost anything we have. Only my bigger work laptop can't 100% be charged if other ports are in use. But overnight charging works fine for it. But I for sure can charge 2 phones, my watch, and my iPad at the same time with no issues.' — Michael C
'Useful and convenient desktop accessory. I decided to set this thing up on my desk for the sake of decluttering my work space. Where it sits on my desk leaves it convenient for charging my phone and out of the way of other screens on my desk. I will say that it can be a bit front heavy when placing your phone on the wireless pad. However when you hook up a couple things to the back of its ports it evens out. The product is also very nice looking, Has a matte finish on it. Small enough to pack a lot of output power for my monitors and console under my desk! ' — Joji

Apple will repair some Mac minis powered by M2 chips for free
If you have a new-ish Mac mini that has recently conked out, you are not alone. Apple has just launched a worldwide service program for the 2023 Mac mini with M2 chips, because "a very small percentage" of them are having power issues and may no longer turn on. The company didn't say what was causing those power issues. While Mac minis powered by M2 chips were first released in 2023, the affected units were made between June 16, 2024 to November 23, 2024. Some of those computers may be nearing the end of their one-year warranty, depending on when they were purchased. With this service program, Apple will still repair the units even if they're already past their warranty, up to three years after their first sale. To check if yours is eligible either because you need it now or in case you'll need it later, you can type in your Mac mini's serial number on the program page. Both Apple and its authorized service providers will fix your computer free of charge. Keep in mind if you've moved countries, however, that Apple may restrict or limit free repairs to the device's original country or region of purchase. The latest Mac minis, which aren't included in the repair program, are powered by Apple's M4 and M4 Pro chips and were released last year. They're half the size of previous versions, come with 16GB of RAM, several USB-C ports, a headphone jack, a full-sized HDMI connection (supporting up to 8K 60Hz or 4K 240Hz), as well as an Ethernet port.

This surprise deal knocks $350 off the best portable power station on the market
Summer is almost officially here, but there's no sense in waiting on the calendar to dive into some summer activities. Things like picnics, cookouts, and road trips can be made more worthwhile if you've got some power on-hand, which is why we'd like to direct you to the Anker Solix C1000. The portable power station is on sale for $449 right now, which is $350 off its regular price of $799. This is also one of It's best prices ever. We don't just think highly of the Anker Solix C1000, we happen to think it's the best portable power station on the market right now. Anker does a great job of keeping its size manageable while at the same time packing it with features. Its HyperFlash charging technology is pretty groundbreaking, in that the C1000 can go from dead to 80% capacity in just 43 minutes of charging. This will allow you to spend more time with it in the wild and less time waiting for it to charge up. When it comes to putting the C1000 to use, it's the perfect power station for things like phones, tablets, and laptops, but it can handle far more than smaller devices. It can keep a portable refrigerator running for up to 33 hours, a camping light for up to 60 hours, a coffee maker for nearly three hours, and a cooler for more than 17 hours. The C1000 can also come in handy during power outages at home, as it can power a Wi-Fi router for up to 52 hours, a refrigerator for up to 14 hours, and your home's lights for up to 50 hours. The C1000 is a super capable portable power station that just about anyone could find useful at some point or another. It will fit right in on boats and in RVs, when tailgating at stadiums, and even on construction sites. It can power up to 11 devices simultaneously, and with more and more electronics becoming a necessary part of life, the C1000 is something everyone may want to have around. While the Anker Solix C1000 regularly goes for $799, this massive discount at Amazon drops it to $449. That's good for $350 in savings, and while this portable power station does get a pretty good discount every now and then, this is one of the better prices we've seen on it.
