UFL 2025: Best hot mic moments from Week 10
Week 10 of the 2025 UFL season has come and gone, and we're officially switching gears to the playoffs, which kick off Sunday, June 8. The postseason schedule was set before the final week of the regular season, but football fans were still treated to some fantastic action in the final week.
On Friday, the St. Louis Battlehawks took down the DC Defenders on the road in a 13-8 victory on FOX. Both teams rested some players, as these two squads will face each other again soon in the XFL Conference Championship Game. The Houston Roughnecks traveled to Ford Field and took down the Michigan Panthers on Saturday, 19-12.
In Sunday's doubleheader, the Arlington Renegades came out with a 23-6 win over the San Antonio Brahmas , followed by the Birmingham Stallions crushing the Memphis Showboats by 37 points on the road, 46-9. Michigan and Birmingham are back in action soon, facing each other in the USFL Conference Championship Game.
Here are the best hot mic moments from Week 10! "Sit your f****** ass down!"
Battlehawks defensive tackle Austin Faoliu and linebacker Mike Rose got to Defenders quarterback Mike DiLiello for a sack and informed the signal-caller that it was time for him to sit his "f****** ass down." "Wait, there's a penalty. We got to go back, though."
Panthers quarterback Rocky Lombardi appeared to have a 49-yard rushing touchdown and was pumped after the big scoring play. However, he later realized that the play was being called back due to a penalty. "That was clean"
Showboats quarterback Troy Williams took a hit from Delontae Scott after just getting off a pass. Williams later told the Stallions linebacker "that was clean." "No!"
Panthers head coach Mike Nolan was passionately trying to get his players out of a fight that was unfolding. "Get DK to calm the … fudge down."
Prior to a fourth-and-10, Brahmas head coach Payton Pardee wanted a player on his team (presumably offensive lineman Derrick Kelly II) to "calm the fudge down." Surely, that's what he meant to say. "You better get your ass down!"
Renegades quarterback Luis Perez rushed for a 7-yard touchdown with 6:25 remaining in the first half and dove for the score. After the play, Perez's teammate told him that he has to "get his ass down" on those rushes. "Are you kidding me?"
In at quarterback for the Renegades, Holton Ahlers was intercepted by Brahmas safety Jalen Elliott, and Ahlers was incredulous after the turnover. "Block the f*** out of that guy!"
Showboats head coach Jim Turner wanted his team to "block the f***" out of a player on the Stallions. Turner also kept yelling "Tom" throughout the game. "Oh, you ass!"
DiLiello got the call on the run for the Defenders, and the quarterback stiff-armed Battlehawks cornerback Myles Sims. After the play, DiLiello informed Sims that he was "ass." "God dang"
Showboats quarterback Dresser Winn was politely sacked by Stallions defensive end Myjai Sanders, who had two sacks on the day. Winn responded to the play with a "god dang." "Y'all better lift!"
Stallions quarterback J'Mar Smith picked up a one-point conversion with his legs on a play. After the play, Smith repeatedly told the defense that they "better lift" — with somebody on the Showboats defense saying "yeah, we do."

Hawaii's Ta'amu looks to lead DC to UFL championship
In his fifth season of professional spring football, Hawai'i's Jordan Ta'amu is once again knocking on the door of a league title. The Pearl City graduate and former Ole Miss quarterback will lead the D.C. Defenders into the United Football League Conference Championship this Sunday against the St. Louis Battlehawks, one of Ta'amu's former teams. Since beginning his pro career in 2020, Ta'amu has tallied more than 10,000 total yards and 72 touchdowns across the XFL, USFL, and now the UFL. Despite earning league MVP honors and spending time with NFL franchises like the Kansas City Chiefs, Minnesota Vikings, and Houston Texans, a championship has eluded the 27-year-old signal-caller. 'I'm just so excited and happy for our team to be where we're at right now,' Ta'amu told KHON2 Sports. 'Just to continue the journey that I'm still going, still playing, still throwing the rock around, and making my family proud. We get to play at a high level and for something big, a championship. You learn from your past, right? We're trying to rewrite history.' Ta'amu made headlines earlier this season with a highlight-reel trick play, catching his first career receiving touchdown after hurdling a defender on his way to the end zone. 'That was amazing,' Ta'amu said. 'If you haven't seen that trick play, please go watch it. It was probably the highlight of my career, catching it, hurdling somebody, and scoring. I was so hyped. It was definitely a blessing to celebrate that moment with my teammates.' Sunday's conference title game will also feature another Hawai'i connection: St. Louis reserve quarterback Chevan Cordeiro, a Saint Louis School graduate and former University of Hawai'i standout. Rank the receivers by who will have the most RECEIVING YARDS (highest to lowest): Braylon Sanders, Hakeem Butler, Chris Rowland, Deon Cain Deon Cain or Chris Rowland will likely lead this bunch. Cain has had stints in the NFL with the Bills, Panthers and Steelers. And through nine games this season, he's got the third-most receiving yards with 514. Rowland has 10 games under his belt this year and has the second-most receiving yards with 522. Prediction: Chris Rowland, Deon Cain, Hakeem Butler, Braylon Sanders 6. 2025 Belmont Stakes odds: 'I don't think it'll be a two-horse race'
Sovereignty won the Kentucky Derby, edging out Journalism. Then in the Preakness Stakes, which Sovereignty skipped, Journalism rolled to victory. The two will do battle once more on Saturday in the Belmont Stakes on FOX, to cap the 2025 Triple Crown. So, Belmont Stakes odds come down to a two-horse race, right? Well, maybe not. "I don't think it'll be a two-horse race. I don't see it that way. There are other horses who could surprise," said Johnny Avello, director of race and sportsbook operations for DraftKings. Avello, who's been around horse racing much of his life and is one of the keenest betting minds in the sport, serves up his insights on 2025 Belmont Stakes odds. Battle of Saratoga For the second straight year, the Belmont Stakes is at Saratoga, while Belmont Park undergoes renovations. Monday's post-position draw saw Journalism land the No. 7 gate in an eight-horse field, while Sovereignty will break from the No. 2 gate. Morning Line odds then went up, with Journalism an 8/5 favorite, narrowly ahead of Sovereignty at 2/1 for Saturday's 7:07 p.m. ET post time on FOX. There's plenty to like about both horses, most notably that each already has a Triple Crown win this year. "I think Journalism and Sovereignty will both be bet pretty heavily. They're both gonna take their share of money," Avello said. "But Baeza was a really close third in the Kentucky Derby. He's getting better. He'll take some money." As the 4/1 third choice, Baeza isn't too far behind Journalism and Sovereignty. Rain and Rest Saratoga could see rain Saturday, though Avello notes that's not necessarily a disadvantage for the top two horses. But another factor could be part of the equation: Like Sovereignty, Baeza is well-rested after skipping the Preakness. On the flip side, Journalism ran the Derby on May 3, then the Preakness on May 17, and will now run the 1.25-mile Belmont. "Sovereignty and Journalism have both run good in the slop," Avello said. "I think Journalism is a great horse. But running three races over five weeks might take a lot out of a 3-year-old." Dark Horse Bids Avello pointed to two other horses he thinks are worth a look in the win pool for Belmont Stakes odds. "Rodriguez likes to go to the front, and so does Crudo. Those two horses should be on the front end early, and we'll see how far they can go," Avello said. Rodriguez was set to run the Kentucky Derby, but had to withdraw a couple of days out with a hoof issue. So he's back and going on plenty of rest as the 6/1 fourth choice. Crudo didn't run the Derby. But on Preakness Saturday at Pimlico, he ran on the undercard in the Sir Barton Stakes and rolled to a 7.5-length victory. Crudo is at 15/1 odds, so an upset there would represent a nice payout. Avello also mentioned 10/1 fifth choice Hill Road and 30/1 long shot Heart of Honor. "Hill Road won the Peter Pan Stakes, and he was third in the Tampa Bay Derby," Avello said. "He's ridden by one of the best jockeys, Irad Ortiz Jr., and he has one of the best trainers, Chad Brown. "I could see Heart of Honor maybe getting third. So you might want to use him in your trifectas." Heart of Honor is 30/1 to win the Belmont, after skipping the Derby and taking fifth in the Preakness. Free Money In both the Kentucky Derby and Preakness, DraftKings put up significant bonus money for those betting via DK's horse racing app. Deemed King of the Track, the bonus was $1 million in the Derby and $250,000 in the Preakness. By opting in on the app, then making at least a $5 to-win bet on a horse, customers got a chance at a share of the bonus money. The caveat, of course, is that your horse had to win. In the Derby, DraftKings paid out an additional $291 to every King of the Track bettor who wagered on Sovereignty to win. In the Preakness, all those who took Journalism to win claimed an additional $41 apiece, along with whatever their bet paid out. Belmont's King of the Track bonus is $200,000. It's free money, so if you're going to bet on the race winner regardless, and DK is an option in your state, then you might as well take your shot.
