Homegrown horror film to be shown at free cinema event in Rhyl
The 20-minute film, which co-stars Vicki Glover (Ship of the Damned, Ripper's Revenge) and Melissa Jarernsiri, has elements of slasher and folk horror with a twist in the tale.
It will ultimately form part of an anthology called Blood/Stream, which features horror icons Barbie Wilde (Hellraiser 2) and Lawrence R Harvey (Human Centipede 2).
Spencer, who has appeared in Star Wars: Rogue One, Guardians of the Galaxy, Dungeons & Dragons, and the soon-to-be released Toxic Avenger film, plays the character of Seth, a role written especially for him.
It will be shown at Rhyl Little Theatre on Saturday (August 2). Doors open at starts at 6.30pm and admission is free.

In the film, Stevie (Glover) and Jody (Jarernsiri) become lost hiking across the countryside, on their way to a hen night. As a storm rolls in, they take shelter in an old farm shed, where they encounter Seth.
At the night goes on, Stevie and Jody start to believe there is more to Seth than meets the eye.
Producer Mark Adams, who is part of the film's production company Hellbound Media, said: 'Spencer's performance is intense and mesmerising, exactly what you want for a horror movie.
'He is no stranger to horror having played the Wolfman, as well as the iconic Darth Vader, but this might be Spencer's most terrifying performance yet.
'We are so excited for people to see it in Spencer's hometown of Rhyl!'
Chad and Tom of Rhyller Thriller (Image: Submitted) Fox and the Hen is being shown in support of a double feature of genre films presented by Rhyl gorehounds Chad Jones and Tomos Rowlands ahead of their Rhyller Thriller film festival at the end of August.
The Blade Cuts Deeper, a film inspired by Italian Giallo cinema - made famous by directors such as Dario Argento and Mario Bava - was shot in Ormskirk.
It will be followed by Q&A with director Gene Dolders.
The second feature film is sci-fi horror Virus Detected.

Virgin Media has confirmed the rollout of a new search feature that promises to make it easier to find things to watch. There's a big new upgrade coming to homes using Virgin Media's TV platform and it's aimed at making it much easier to find things to watch. The changes have been confirmed via a Virgin blog post with the telecoms company saying it's making its search fuction far more visual. When currently looking for content to view, Virgin offers a standard list view, but that's about to change with the update displaying vivid images instead. "We're rolling out some helpful improvements to how you search on our Stream box and Virgin TV 360," Virgin confirmed. "Gone are the boring search results that made it feel like you were cramming for an exam (and not a fun one). "Instead, we've ditched the text lists and have updated our search function to show image results, making it quicker and easier to find what you want. "Whether you're typing out your search query or you're using our super powerful voice search feature, you will now see visual tiles for the relevant results." The update is being rolled out to devices including its 360 and Stream boxes, with the boost happening automatically. Explaining more, Virgin said: "You won't have to do anything special to our 360 or Stream boxes for this latest update to take place. It'll happen as if by magic (we'll press a button on our end)." This upgrade should help users find things faster and it's worth a try if you've never used it before as it cuts down on the amount time spent flicking through channels. Virgin's search function lets you look for a specific show or movie along with genres and even those starring in it. Just hit the magnifying glass button on the remote and get typing – just a few letters is usually enough for Smart Search. Alternatively, hold down the remote's mic button and say the name of the show.
