Melania Trump Threatens $1 Bln Suit Against Hunter Biden

Israa Farhan
First Lady Melania Trump has warned Hunter Biden, son of former US President Joe Biden, of legal action worth $1 billion over allegations she says are false and defamatory in connection with the late financier Jeffrey Epstein.
According to a legal notice published by Fox News, the dispute arose after Hunter Biden released a YouTube video on 5 August titled 'Hunter Biden Returns.'
The video reportedly
contained
assertions linking Melania Trump's introduction to Donald Trump with Jeffrey Epstein. The First Lady's legal team described these claims as categorically false and inherently defamatory.
The letter demanded an immediate and comprehensive retraction of the video and any other statements deemed misleading or inflammatory. Failure to comply by the 7 August deadline, the notice stated, would prompt a lawsuit seeking $1 billion in damages.
Sources indicate that Hunter Biden did not issue the requested retraction within the specified timeframe, setting the stage for a potentially high-profile legal battle.

Gérard Depardieu Found Guilty of Sexual Assault in Court Ruling

SEENEWS French actor Gérard Depardieu, 76, has been found guilty of sexual assault against two women during the 2021 filming of Les Volets Verts in Paris. The court sentenced him to 18 months in prison with a suspended sentence, added him to France's national sex offender registry, and ordered him to pay compensation to the victims. The verdict, delivered by a Paris court, marks a turning point for France's film industry, and the broader MeToo movement in Europe. Depardieu, who was not present in court at the time of sentencing, was accused of groping two women on set, a set designer identified as Amélie, and an assistant director known by the pseudonym Sarah. The assaults reportedly took place in September 2021, during the production of a film centered on an aging actor. According to court testimony, Depardieu used sexually explicit language and touched the women inappropriately without consent. Amélie, now 54, spoke emotionally after the ruling, telling reporters she was "deeply moved" and that the outcome represented "a victory and a major step forward." Her account, the court found, was consistent and credible, unlike Depardieu's defense, which the judge noted had shifted over time. Depardieu's legal team, led by attorney Jérémie Assous, has announced plans to appeal the decision. The actor, who has denied all allegations, remained in the Azores working on a film with his long-time friend and fellow actor Fanny Ardant, during the trial's conclusion. In addition to the suspended sentence, the court ordered Depardieu to pay €1,000 in compensation to each of the victims for what the judge described as 'secondary suffering', caused by the conduct of the defense during trial proceedings. This concept reflects the additional trauma experienced during public cross-examination. The judge underscored that there was no reason to doubt the victims' accounts, adding that the behavior described, including groping and vulgar comments, amounted to criminal assault. read more 2 Most Inspirational Green Projects in Egypt AEW Dynamite, WWE NXT to Strive over Viewership Tonight Egypt Marks 70th Anniv. of 2011 Revolution, National Police Day In Depth: WWE NXT Halloween Havoc In Depth: AEW Dynamite, WWE NXT Tuesday Viewership Strive Videos & Features WATCH: Egyptians Break Ramadan Fasts in Matariya Videos & Features GrEEk Campus Hosts Jobzella Fifth Career Fair Videos & Features 3 Iconic Ramadan Songs of All Times Videos & Features Top 4 Destinations to Visit in Upper Egypt Videos & Features Story behind Trending Jessica Radcliffe Death Video News Israeli-Linked Hadassah Clinic in Moscow Treats Wounded Iranian IRGC Fighters Arts & Culture "Jurassic World Rebirth" Gets Streaming Date News China Launches Largest Ever Aircraft Carrier News Ayat Khaddoura's Final Video Captures Bombardment of Beit Lahia Business Egyptian Pound Undervalued by 30%, Says Goldman Sachs Videos & Features Tragedy Overshadows MC Alger Championship Celebration: One Fan Dead, 11 Injured After Stadium Fall Arts & Culture South Korean Actress Kang Seo-ha Dies at 31 after Cancer Battle Lifestyle Get to Know 2025 Eid Al Adha Prayer Times in Egypt News The Jessica Radcliffe Orca Attack? 100% Fake and AI-Generated
