Blown Away by Bubble Art
For about an hour, some 400 adults and children were gasping, screaming and laughing as Louis Pearl, the Amazing Bubble Man, encased girls and boys in huge soapy globules, made bubbles levitate and wobble, filled many of the fragile spheres with smoke, and karate-chopped others in half.
For the show's finale, Pearl, 68, grabbed a long plastic stick with a ring on one end, dipped it into a vat of soapy formula and waved it above his head so that thousands of bubbles drifted over the audience. Children throughout the theater leaped out of their seats to pop them.
Such spectacles are at the heart of bubble art, a performance genre that, for over a decade, has been a growing presence at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, the annual arts festival more renowned as a birthplace of hit comedy shows, plays and musicals.
This year, four bubbleologists, as they like to be called, have shows on the Fringe, which runs through Aug. 25. Alongside Pearl's, in which he also cracks jokes while performing tricks, a performer called Ray Bubbles has a show for disabled children and an 'Ultimate Bubble Show'; an act called the Highland Joker has the simply titled 'Bubble Show'; and Maxwell the Bubbleologist has a 'Flying Bubble Show,' largely performed midair.

Will Chicago's Riot Fest founder get a John Stamos tattoo?
It's officially the day Chicago's Riot Fest founder is getting his tattoo of actor and musician John Stamos as part of a performance demand. Riot Mike said he's getting the tattoo as part of a deal to get Stamos to take the stage with the Beach Boys on September 20 in Douglas Park. It's happening on Stamos' birthday. Organizers confirmed Stamos will "begrudgingly" join the festival "after over a decade of social media harassment from Riot Fest" under specific circumstances. The agreement comes with some demands by the actor, including the following: 1. Riot Mike, the founder of the festival, must get a John Stamos tattoo 2. A John Stamos look-alike contest must be hosted by Riot Fest 3. A local Chicago pizza restaurant must create a Greek style pizza named after and in honor of Stamos. Luckily, Chicago's iconic Giordano's has the pizza requirement covered. Last week they announced the "The Stamos Supreme" pizza, created by Gio's own Chef Jesse, topped with spinach, artichoke, and feta cheese. In a post on social media, the chain also promised, in line with the demands, not to make eye contact with his hair, applaud him saying "Riot Fart," and, said while they can't give him a Gibson guitar filled with hummus, they could provide one filled with cheese.

Eminem's Curtain Call: The Hits compilation is one of the most successful singles collections ever released. The project features most of his early career smashes, and it maintains a constant presence on charts globally, as people may never stop listening to his dozens of commercial successes. In the United Kingdom, it's common to see both Curtain Call and Curtain Call 2 appear on multiple rankings at the same time. During especially productive frames, some of Eminem's traditional studio albums also find space on a list or two. This time around, the focus remains on both Curtain Call releases, but several of the rapper's full-lengths do manage to soar once more. The Marshall Mathers LP and The Eminem Show A pair of Eminem classics find their way back to the Official Hip-Hop and R&B Albums chart this week in the U.K. The Marshall Mathers LP and The Eminem Show surge back onto the genre-specific roster at Nos. 31 and 33, respectively. Both Eminem Albums Have Spent Hundreds of Weeks on the Chart While both The Eminem Show and The Marshall Mathers LP return to the Official Hip-Hop and R&B Albums chart, neither needs any introduction to the list. The Eminem Show is the one with the fewest number of frames on the tally, and it's up to 671 stays on the tally, while The Marshall Mathers LP is nearing 850 frames. Both titles have already reached No. 1, and they are counted among Eminem's many champions on the roster.
