Mandy Moore SLAMS LA County for 'making it impossible' to rebuild her home four months after deadly fires
has slammed Los Angeles County for 'making it impossible' to rebuild her Altadena home that was partially destroyed in the devastating fires that broke out four months earlier.
The This Is Us actress, 41, had nearly completed renovating the house she shared with husband Taylor Goldsmith and their three children Gus, four, Ozzie, two, and baby Louise when the deadly infernos broke out on January 7 amid strong winds.
While the structure of their abode was still intact, the star explained in a past post that the belongings inside 'are a near total loss' due to the surrounding fires.
In an emotional message to her followers on Tuesday, Moore penned on her Instagram stories: 'Thanks LA County for making it frustrating and impossible to rebuild after the fires as possible.
'Shouldn't be surprised but it's mind boggling the red rape and hoops they're putting is all through.'
Mandy later uploaded a second post and continued, 'I realize in my fury, my last post was a bit convoluted.'
In an emotional message to her followers on Tuesday, Moore penned on her Instagram stories: 'Thanks LA County for making it frustrating and impossible to rebuild after the fires as possible'
The star added, 'It's madding and heartless... the endless hoops and meaningless protocol LA County us asking of fire victims who want to rebuild and get their lives back.
'Wasn't California going to make this easy as possible? We JUST finished construction in November and the fact that we're back at square one is heartbreaking enough...'
In late January, Donald Trump had paid a visit to California and sat down in a televised meeting with L.A. mayor Karen Bass to discuss efforts to aid fire victims and steps to rebuild their homes as soon as possible.
While joined by other state and local leaders during the discussion, he had stated: 'I don't think you can realize how rough it is, how devastating it is until you see it.
'I didn't realize. It is devastation. It's incredible. It's really an incineration,' he added, per KTLA 5.
He mentioned how he would let victims start rebuilding their homes that night, but Bass warned of the dangers of doing so, such as dealing with hazardous waste.
Trump also promised support of the federal government in order to quickly restore structures and areas affected by the flames - including the Pacific Palisades and Eaton Fires.
With those two fires combined, around 16,251 were completely destroyed.
Bass has faced criticism over being in Ghana when the fires broke out, and was later caught in a shocking wildfire 'lie' as a campaign to have her fired began in March of this year.
Other celebrities have called out the L.A. mayor shortly after the fires began, such as Khloe Kardashian who called Bass 'a joke.'
In February, Karen notably sacked city fire chief Kristin Crowley as she placed the weight of the blame of how the wildfires were handled onto Crowley for not warning her of the fire dangers.
Last month in April, a poll revealed that Bass's favorability has dropped since last year, per the Los Angeles Times.
Moore kept her fans updated when the flames broke out in early January throughout Southern California.
She had uploaded a short reel while driving down a street in Altadena to show buildings burnt to the ground as dark smoke filled the sky.
The actress and her family also temporarily moved in with Hilary Duff and her loved ones during the tragic incident.
Days later, the star gave an update on their home and penned, 'We were able to park and walk up our street to bear witness to all the loss. Miraculously, the main part of our house is still standing. For now.
'It's not livable but mostly intact,' she then explained. 'We lost Taylor and griffin's studio with every instrument and piece of equipment they've ever owned. We lost our garage and back house.

'Everyone we know lost everything. Every house on our street is gone. My in laws. My brother and sister in law- 6 weeks from welcoming their first baby. Our best friends. Feeling weird survivors guilt.
Moore added, 'We love this community and will do everything we can to help rebuild and support. Thanks for everyone for checking on us and offering us help. Altadena strong.'
She also uploaded photos of what was left of their home, while her neighbors lost their entire properties.
In February, Mandy explained that although their abode was still intact, they could not move back in.
'We found out this week that while our house is still standing, because of the proximity to the fires/ burning structures (around us on all sides) the contents of our home are a near total loss.'
The actress acknowledged how lucky they were and then added, 'But also… do we still have a home? I think my definition is in flux. The physical space? No.'
She later expressed, 'We were weeks away from finally being done with everything when the fires hit. I'm not saying all of this because I'm asking you to feel more sorry for us than someone else.
'Like I said, I am grateful. We're so lucky! By the grace of god we found a place to stay in the meantime and the kids are happy and safe...'
Beforehand, the Tangled actress had told her followers to 'F Off' after facing backlash for sharing a GoFundMe page for her relatives.
Mandy had explained her brother-in-law and sister-in-law 'lost their home and everything they own' only weeks before welcoming their first child.
She shared the GoFundMe to her Instagram page - which was created by Hilary Duff and her husband Matt Koma - but social media users were less than thrilled over the move.
'You can't help them? You're millionaires????' one penned, while others came to the star's defense.

In response to the criticism that she received, the mom-of-three shared a follow-up post that read: 'People questioning whether we're helping out our own family or attributing some arbitrary amount of money Google says someone has is NOT helpful or empathetic.
'Of course we are. Our buddy Matt started this go fund me and I'm sharing because people have asked how they can help them.'
She added, 'We just lost most of our life in a fire too. Kindly F OFF. No one is forcing you to do anything.'

Rita Ora commands attention in leopard print bra and micro shorts as she performs at World Pride Music Festival in Washington DC
Rita Ora stripped down to a matching leopard print lingerie set and micro shorts during a performance at World Pride Music Festival in Washington DC on Friday. The songstress, 34, looked unbelievable in the skimpy outfit as she took to the stage for the two-day event. She pulled out all the stops for the big performance, turning heads in her figure-hugging ensemble. Rita paired her eccentric outfit with glittery eyeshadow and sunglasses to complete the look. She sang and danced to the crowd, who were also there to see Jennifer Lopez and Troye Sivan, to name a few. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new Showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. The pride festival is held at Festival Grounds At RFK Campus in Washington D.C. Rita recently boasted about her latest song Heat, which was released on Friday. In the single, she sings: 'Your heat on me. Sex on sight. Anywhere you like. Inside or outside.' Heat is expected to feature on her upcoming, still untitled, fourth album, which will be her first album release since her 2023 You & I. Rita has recently been supporting Kylie for the first leg of her tour after she previously revealed that Kylie's 2023 mega-hit from 'Tension', 'Padam Padam', was nearly given to her. The synth-pop banger - penned by Norwegian singer-songwriter Ina Wroldsen and producer Lostboy - was a viral hit for Kylie. But several artists were asked if they wanted to record it, including the Anywhere singer, because they didn't feel it was a Kylie song. It comes after she kicked off her support gig on the tour in April at Atlanta's State Farm Arena. Rita gushed after her gig: 'First night of the tour, wow the reception was incredible and I'm so grateful for this opportunity to connect with North America. It feels like such a huge compliment to open up for such an icon.' Kylie's Tension Tour will conclude on August 26. She will then head to New York for two shows at Madison Square Garden before stopping for one show at Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C. The star is the highest-selling Australian female artist of all time and the third best-selling in the UK. But she has only now begun to make a name for herself in the US following the success of her viral 2023 hit Padam Padam. In the past Kylie has claimed her failure to catch on stateside didn't phase her and she enjoyed her anonymity there, however, her record label revealed in 2023 that the singer now has her eyes firmly set on cracking the US market.

SATC icon Kristin Davis finally shares whether she dated Mr. Big star Chris Noth after years of romance rumors
Sex And The City icon Kristin Davis has finally revealed whether she dated her co-star Chris Noth after years of swirling romance rumors. Noth famously played Mr. Big, the central on-off love interest of Sarah Jessica Parker 's character Carrie Bradshaw, on the original series and in the two films. Davis meanwhile featured as Charlotte York, one of the four main friends on the show including Carrie, Miranda (Cynthia Nixon) and Samantha (Kim Cattrall). When the show's spin-off And Just Like That... debuted in 2021, Mr. Big briefly appeared as Carrie's husband - only to quickly die of a heart attack on a Peloton. Right after his character was killed off, Noth's career was upended by a string of sexual misconduct allegations, which he has since strenuously denied. Now Davis, 60, has used her Instagram page to address the years of speculation that she and Noth, 70, were once romantically involved in real life. Sex And The City icon Kristin Davis has finally revealed whether she dated her co-star Chris Noth after years of swirling romance rumors She dropped the bombshell in the comments section of a podcast clip in which she and Megan Thee Stallion discussed Mr. Big as a character. One fan wrote under the footage: 'Maam didn't you date him??' prompting Davis to clarify to the public once and for all: 'No i didnit!!!' In 2023, Noth firmly denied multiple allegation allegations of sexual misconduct in his first interview about the charges that infamously put his career on hold. Noth, who has insisted he is still close to his former Sex and the City co-stars, told USA Today that any encounters he has had outside his marriage were consensual. 'I strayed on my wife, and it's devastating to her and not a very pretty picture,' he told the outlet. 'What it isn't, is a crime.' The former Law and Order star has been married to his wife since 2012. The couple were together for 10 years before tying the knot and are parents to two children - Orion, 16, and Keats. Noth said he has spoken to his teenager about the situation. The SAG nominee admitted his infidelity saying, 'You give yourself the same excuses that many men do; it's just a little side dance, and it's fun. He said he justified by telling himself, 'You're not hurting anybody. No one's going to know about this, you know, and sex is just enjoyable.' 'And suddenly, a lot of people want to have sex with you. It's like, 'Well, I'm not going to get this chance again."' Noth denied those allegations, along with the claims of a fourth woman who also accused him of misconduct. Noth's character, Big,' was killed off in the first episode of the Sex and the City spinoff And Just Like That, a move that was planned as part of the plotline. The veteran star was fired from his job on the CBS drama The Equalizer shortly after the allegations were made public. Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis issued a joint statement saying, 'We support the women who have come forward and shared their painful experiences. We know it must be a very difficult thing to do and we commend them for it.' No criminal charges have been filed yet. New York does not have a statute of limitations on rape. The actor hinted the women who accused him may have a financial motive. Four women have told very different stories about their experiences with the Sex and the City star. In Dec. 2021, just weeks after his character was killed off on the in the SATC spin-off And Just Like That, two women went public with their allegations of sexual misconduct. One claimed he raped her in 2015 after she met the actor while working as a server at a nightclub. The second told The Hollywood Reporter Noth raped her in 2004. The actor's rep called the allegations 'categorically false.' A third woman came forward shortly after the THR article, and told The Daily Beast she had been assaulted by the Gone actor when she was 18 and working at a restaurant in New York. 'That's a money train for a lot of people,' he said. No lawsuits against the Manhunt actor have been filed. 'There's nothing I can say to change anyone's mind when you have that kind of a tidal wave,' he claimed. 'It sounds defensive. I'm not. There's no criminal court. There's no criminal trial. There's nothing for me to get on the stand about and get my story out, get witnesses.' The Good Wife actor had at the time been directing and performing at a theater in Massachusetts. He was working for Samuelsohn, a suit company launching a campaign to raise awareness about men's mental health when he spoke with the reporter from USA Today. 'I'm an actor,' he stated. 'I have other things that I want to do creatively. And I have children to support. I can't just rest on my laurels,' he said of his limited opportunities. 'I have enough to let a year drift, but I don't know how to gauge or judge getting back into the club, the business, because corporations are frightened.' 'Fear is the overriding operative word when it comes to whether they believe it or not,' he explained. 'I have to just continue on. It's rough, because people are scared, and their fear leads them. And I have to just persevere because I still have a creative life.'
