7 reality shows to binge if you can't wait for The Real Housewives of London
The Real Housewives of London has confirmed its line-up, but the series won't be hitting screens until later this year
The Real Housewives of London is set to take the city by storm with its newly unveiled cast, promising a dose of high drama and opulent lifestyles.
Following the phenomenal success of the original Real Housewives series that began in Orange County back in 2006, the franchise has finally made its way to London after captivating audiences worldwide with various local versions.
Expect a whirlwind of fierce showdowns, enviable fashion statements, and a glimpse into the extravagant homes of six affluent figures as they navigate their high-society circles and the tumultuous events that unfold.
Confirmed to grace our screens are Juliet Angus of Ladies of London fame, model Amanda Cronin, Karen Loderick-Peace from Real Housewives of Jersey, ex-beauty queen Juliet Mayhew, socialite Pantha Parker, and entrepreneur Nessie Welschinger.
Although filming kicked off in March, fans will have to wait until later in the year to get their fix of the London elite's antics.
Meanwhile, for those who've devoured every episode of the Real Housewives from Beverly Hills to Cheshire, here's a list of seven other reality shows to quench your thirst for more glitz and glamour.
Bling Empire: New York
The Netflix hit Bling Empire: New York offered viewers a peek into the lives of wealthy Asian-American New Yorkers showcasing their wealth and style.
The show brought together a cast of fashion icons, heirs and heiresses, business moguls, designers, and magazine editors, earning the tag of "crazy rich Asians" in real life by Netflix.
This spin-off from the LA-based series was a hit, but in 2023 it was confirmed that neither version would be returning for more seasons.
Crafted by the creators of Keeping Up With The Kardashians, Bling Empire: New York showcased the stars splashing their cash on designer shopping sprees, attending glitzy parties and events, globetrotting, and managing their multi-billion pound businesses, all while uncovering the drama and secrets amongst them.
Selling Sunset
For some of the most eye-popping outfits ever seen on Netflix, Selling Sunset is your go-to.
The series, which has aired eight seasons to date, trails the estate agents of the Oppenheimer Group and the scandals they find themselves embroiled in.
Between drooling over jaw-dropping LA mansions, anticipate dramatic face-offs and endless tittle-tattle.
Dubai Bling
Dubai Bling delves into the lives of some of the city's wealthiest, revealing a group of millionaires flaunting their businesses, cars, designer labels and opulent homes.
It wouldn't be a Netflix reality series without a dash of drama, as friendships crumble and alliances are forged amidst lies, envy and shocking disclosures.
The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives
The second series of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives landed on Disney+ just last month, charting the volatile relationships of several Mormon content creators from Utah, known as Mom Tok.
After allegations of swinging and affairs were made public in 2022 by Taylor Frankie Paul, a spotlight was cast on her friendship circle, who now air their dirty linen in a reality series.
Featuring fiery rows and marital meltdowns, confessions and accusations of infidelity, the forthcoming third series promises to be as explosive as ever.
Below Deck
The Bravo series Below Deck, which has since spawned numerous spin-offs, first hit our screens in 2013, documenting the lives of crew members working on a luxury yacht.
From guests moaning and criticising, to staff showdowns and heated arguments, there's never a dull moment on board.
The Below Deck franchise has since won over audiences globally and received several Primetime Emmy Award nominations.
Vanderpump Villa
Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Lisa Vanderpump launched a series of her own spin-off shows following her dramatic exit from the Housewives.
Vanderpump Villa, the fifth show after Vanderpump Rules, unveils the lives of her staff working in her posh French villa, Chateau Rosabelle, with drama stemming from the tensions of the crew living and working together.
Ladies of London
Over a decade before she started filming for The Real Housewives of London, Juliet Angus first appeared in Ladies of London.
The reality series followed the lives of six British socialites and American expats juggling their families, businesses and social lives.
Bravo declared in 2017 that there wouldn't be a fourth season of the show, only to surprise fans last month by announcing its return with "a new wave of British blue bloods, ambitious American expats and glamorous international socialites".
The press release sparked interest with: "As tradition clashes with the fast-paced globalised world, these power players redefine what it means to be a woman of status in one of the most iconic cities in the world. Here connections are currency and the crown isn't the only thing up for grabs."

Lewis Capaldi to make 'huge comeback' with 'secret set' at Glastonbury Festival two years after breakdown
The Scots star is reportedly set to make a grand return to the music scene after taking time out of the limelight Lewis Capaldi is reportedly set to make a huge comeback at Glastonbury Festival after struggling to perform two years ago. The Scots singer is believed to be taking the 'Secret Set' slot on the Friday night of the music festival. The Forget Me chanter is believed to be taking to the Pyramid Stage at the iconic music event after Alanis Morrisette, reports the Daily Mail. It comes after the 28-year-old was forced to apologise to fans throughout his 2023 Glastonbury set as he battled with flailing vocals and a fading voice. The West Lothian native looked visibly frustrated throughout the performance as he made an emotional admission to the crowd. It later came to light that Lewis had experienced an attack of Tourette's Syndrome on stage. The Bruises hitmaker had previously taken time off in the lead-up to the festival to focus on his mental health and told fans on stage he would likely be taking another extended break following the performance. "Look I'm really sorry before we go any further, because this is a pain in the a***," he said. "You've all come out and I'm apologising that my voice is f***ing packing in. Glastonbury I'm really sorry, I'm a bit annoyed with myself here. "I recently took three weeks off, just because I've been non-stop since the start of the year and wanted a break for my head and my mental health. I wanted to come back and do Glastonbury because it's so incredible and I just want to thank you all for coming out. "I was scared but you really made me feel at ease. I'm really sorry, I hope they will let me back on even though it's been a sh**show. "I feel like I'll be taking another break over the next few weeks so you probably won't see me for the rest of the year. But when I do come back and I do see you I hope you're up for watching." In a touching show of unity and support, the crowd sang Lewis' hit Someone You Loved back to him, nearly moving him to tears. Music-lovers also buoyed him up by chanting "Oh Lewis Capaldi". Lewis vanished from the spotlight to adjust to the impact of his Tourette's, saying that it "became obvious" during his Glastonbury set "that he needed to spend much more time getting his mental and physical health in order". "I [need to do this] so I can keep doing everything I love for a long time to come," he added at the time. "Playing for you every night is all I've ever dreamed of, so this has been the most difficult decision of my life. "I'll be back as soon as I possibly can." Tourette syndrome is a neurological disorder that often causes sudden unwanted and uncontrolled rapid and repeated movements or vocal sounds called tics, at times making it difficult for people to speak. Fans were given an insight into Lewis' diagnosis in his acclaimed Netflix documentary, How I'm Feeling Now, which was released shortly before his Glasto appearance. And back in March, singer Yungblud excitedly talked up Capaldi's pending return to music, remarking: "I have heard his new music and it sounds great. He is getting his mental health right. I love him. We've been on this ride together." Lewis Capaldi's management and Glastonbury Festival have been contacted for comment. Join the Daily Record WhatsApp community! Credit: Supplied But the sexy singleton wasn't instantly won over by finding fame and fortune on the dating series - as she loved her job as a personal banker with Barclays. Pal Vanda Barbosa had a candid chat whilst giving the International Business graduate a facial treatment when she was signed up for the show. She said: 'Alima is stunning. I would definitely say she's one of the most beautiful people I have ever met. 'And she's such an intelligent girl, even when she was presented with the offer to go to Love Island she was still thinking about her job that she would have to give up. 'She's such a kind, caring and funny girl. We got on really well and bonded because both of us lived in Portugal before and speak Portuguese.' Alima is originally from Guinea Bissau and regularly enjoys exotic holidays abroad. Now she is set to follow in the footsteps of her fellow Scots and female Love Island success stories like Camilla Thurlow, Laura Anderson and Paige Turley. Speaking after she was announced, Alima said: "I'm a good flirt. I always ask guys on a night out to guess which country I'm originally from. 'If they get it right, they can get my number. But they never guess correctly so it works really well if you don't want to give a guy your number.' On what she's looking for, Alima added: 'A tall man with a handsome face. Top 10 funniest Love Island moments 'You know when you just look at a guy and they have that Disney prince look to them? That's it.' She also dropped a bombshell in her early snippets by revealing she helped to deliver her baby sister with a shoelace after her mum's unexpected labour. Her mum went into labour while Alima was writing an essay for university and she had to help with the umbilical cord. She joked: 'I told my lecturer what happened because I couldn't submit my essay and he thought I was lying. He said there were easier ways to get an extension." Her friend Vanda reckons Alima has plenty of stories to tell that will keep viewers entertained. But she also believes she will think carefully before falling into the arms of one the show's bachelors. The esthetician, who runs Skin By Vanda, said: 'She's always been single since I met her. I would like her to find a genuinely nice good guy, someone kind and thoughtful who treats her the way she deserves. 'She's such a beautiful soul, inside and out and I truly believe she deserves the absolute best.'

Netflix fans urged to watch 'incredible' new movie with shock twist
Fans of Netflix have been urged to watch the thriller Straw following its recent addition to the streaming service. Written, directed and produced by Alex Cross star Tyler Perry, the film stars Taraji P. Henson as a single mother who becomes embroiled in a sequence of terrible and violent events as she struggles to care for her ill daughter. The film also stars Jingle All the Way actor and comedian Sinbad, and Precious actress Sherri Shepherd. Released on the streaming service on June 6, the film has already picked up traction among viewers, swiftly moving up the charts to become the platform's most streamed movie in the UK this weekend. Emerging to strong word of mouth from audiences, it has already been described as one of the director's best films to date (admittedly, this mixed-bag of a catalogue does include his Madea and Mrs. Brown's Boys crossover). Viewers were particularly vocal about its 'heartbreaking' ending – which featured a twist to the tale which will ensure Straw won't be forgotten in a hurry. After watching, fans took to social media to share their thoughts on what they had just witnessed. 'Straw is such a humbling movie. The rawness was so real and the plot twist was crazy,' wrote she_mego on X. 'What a walk through emotions @tylerperry's STRAW. The plot twist at the end wallowed me up. A good watch indeed!' exclaimed sandra_buma. 'After watching Straw, I no longer know how my heart is feeling. When what gave you purpose is suddenly gone. It speaks to a pain that's hard to name. Raw, emotional, and deeply human. Kudos to the writer… truly outdone🖤' said david_harris_r. 'Tyler Perrys STRAW absolutely incredible i literally cried blown away!' said MelisaWhiskey. From its reviews, critics heaped praise upon star Taraji, with Screen Rant describing her performance as 'an acting masterclass.' 'Straw has a cultural pulse-taking urgency that lifts it above [Tyler Perry's] usual run of comedies and melodramatic potboilers, flawed as it is,' wrote Dennis Harvey of Variety. Meanwhile, Entertainment Weekly described the film's emotions as 'so raw and the performances are so earnest that you've really got to have a heart of stone not to care for these people.' Award-winning Taraji – nominated Best Supporting Actress for her performance in The Curious Case of Benjamin Button at 2008's Oscars – previously starred in hit movies The Color Purple and Hidden Figures. Her performance in the film comes two years after she spoke out on the issue of inequality in pay for Hollywood's women of colour. 'I'm just tired of working so hard, being gracious at what I do, getting paid a fraction of the cost,' she told Gayle King on SiriusXM Radio. 'I'm tired of hearing my sisters saying the same thing over and over. You get tired. I hear people go, 'You work a lot.' I have to – the math ain't mathing. 'And when you start working a lot, you have a team. Big bills come with what we do. We don't do this alone. The fact that we're up here, there's a whole entire team behind us. They have to get paid. 'When you hear people saying, 'Oh, such and such made $10million.' That didn't make it to their account. Know that off the top, Uncle Sam is getting 50%. Do the math. 'Now we have $5million – your team is getting 30% off of what you gross, not after what Uncle Sam took. Now do the math.' As the interview went viral, fans and peers in the acting community shared messages of support. 'Not a damn lie told. Not. A. Damn. Lie. We go TO BAT for the next generation and hell even our own generation and above,' wrote Gabrielle Union in response. More Trending 'We don't hesitate to be the change that we all need to see AND it takes a toll on your mind, health, soul, and career if we're keepn it [100]. [Love] u @tarajiphenson. [sic]' 'We feel you, @tarajiphenson and we love you. It's a fight we ALL are waging,' agreed Community star Yvette Nicole Brown. 'For ourselves and for the ones coming up after us. This mess sucks!'
