Jeremiah reflects on his Love Island USA relationship with Huda
Unfortunately, Huda received backlash for allegedly being controlling in her relationship with Jeremiah. Meanwhile, some viewers felt that Jeremiah 'love bombed' Huda during their courtship. After he was dumped from the villa, Jeremiah was a guest on The Viall Files podcast, and he reflected on what went awry in his coupling with Huda.
'I would say one, it was very real and very genuine off the bat,' Jeremiah explained. 'It got a little toxic due to me not nipping in the bud the crazy expectations that she had set for me early on. Then the communication at the end was just not being perceived well.'
The former Love Islander continued, 'When I was trying to de-escalate, she would kind of crash out. But at the end of the day, I just know that moving forward, what I learned from it is not being intimate too soon.' Of course, this frisky duo did have sex in the villa. Jeremiah also noted that he and Huda shared 'this crazy electricity.'
However, the infamous 'pancake day' was the beginning of the end for the controversial couple. 'Not to bash on her, but it was a lot of self-centeredness,' Jeremiah stated. 'Which is why I started to move because she didn't really ask me questions about myself.' He added, 'Once America [voted to pair me with Iris], I was like, 'They're seeing the sh*t I'm feeling but I'm not vocalizing.''
Now, Jeremiah is home while Huda is pursuing a new connection in Casa Amor with JD Dodard.
