STEVEN GERRARD has been spotted back on UK soil amid Rangers' search for a new manager.
The former Ibrox boss has emerged as a contender for the vacancy and what would be a sensational return to the club.

Gerrard, 44, has been out of work since leaving Saudi Pro League club Al-Ettifaq in January.
Ever since Philippe Clement was sacked in February, Gerrard's name has been linked with the vacancy.
SunSport revealed last week that both the former England captain and Russell Martin were leading contenders.
But they don't appear to be the only names in the frame, with the now former Real Madrid assistant Davide Ancelotti and Danish boss Brian Priske also in the race.
The Gers have reportedly spoken to Priske, while fresh reports strongly linking Ancelotti to the Gers job have emerged.
Amid the intense talk of Gerrard making a sensational Rangers return last week, he poured cold water on rumours that he was already back on British soil ahead of sealing a deal.
He posted an Instagram story from the Four Seasons hotel in Bahrain, before being spotted out for dinner in the country.
Gerrard and his family have been living in Bahrain since he took the job in Saudi Arabia in the summer of 2023.
But several days on, he HAS now broken his cover.
Gerrard IS now back in the UK.
But while his return is related to a former club, it is NOT Rangers - at least not for now.
Gerrard was spotted back in the stands at Anfield to watch Liverpool take on Crystal Palace in their final Premier League game of the season.
An academy product, Gerrard spent 17 years as a Liverpool player and became one of the club's greatest ever players.
He was back at the Reds' home stadium to watch the current crop of players receive the Premier League trophy having already been crowned champions.
Liverpool have also been celebrating the 20 year anniversary of one of the club's most famous nights.
Against the odds, Gerrard inspired a remarkable Reds fightback from 3-0 down at half-time as they beat AC Milan on penalties to win the Champions League in Istanbul.
It remains to be seen whether his return to UK soil has anything to do with the Rangers job.

Zubimendi has been strongly linked with a move to the Emirates and it was thought a deal was practically agreed ahead of the summer transfer window. According to Marca, a deal for Zubimendi has become more complicated after Madrid joined the chase for the player, with "real interest" from Xabi Alonso's side as they bid to replace the outgoing Luka Modric. Zubimendi will now be eager to sort out his future, which remains up in the air despite appearing destined for Arsenal. Cardiff-born Boston, 90, blazed a trail for black sports stars during the 1950s and 1960s, making 488 appearances for Wigan and finishing his career with a British record 571 tries to his name.
