Arkansas Storm Team Forecast: Slim rain chance today; fog tonight; more rain and thunderstorms tomorrow
We are starting Wednesday with some fog and a cloudy sky. It's not too thick. There is no Dense Fog Advisory (but there might be one tonight and Thursday morning). Eventually, the sun will break through the clouds, but that will warm it into the mid and upper 70s and allow some daytime pop-up showers to form this afternoon. Showers will just be isolated.
After a lot of fog tonight and to start Thursday, there is an upper disturbance coming through that will bring scattered showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon. Then, a front passes through on Friday, and it might squeeze out a few showers and keep Friday a bit cooler too.
An upper low will bring back a lot of clouds and some rain showers into the state over the weekend and early next week before it moves out on Tuesday as an upper high builds in the region. That upper high will bring a beautiful and comfortable Tuesday. Wednesday will start to warm up, and Thursday and Friday will get into the 90s for the first time this year. Summer is coming, folk!
Not just hot weather, but humid weather starting next Thursday. Heat Index values may be in the mid-90s!

Sunshine midweek for the Tiers. Bring it on!
ELMIRA, N.Y. (WETM) – We are finished with the showers and thunderstorms for the next 24 hours as a drier airmass moves in tonight. Wednesday features more sunshine and a comfortable go of it. Tonight through part of the day Thursday are expected to be dry and breezy. Thursday night may have an isolated shower or two and those without the rain will see some early morning fog Friday before the next round of rain comes through. Most of the weekend including Father's Day will also be cloudy and rainy. Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc. All rights reserved.
