Pride of Britain: Call for nominations for Fundraiser of the Year for the ITV News Tyne Tees region
The search is back on to find the most fantastic fundraisers to represent the ITV News Tyne Tees region at this year's Pride of Britain Awards - and we need your help.
If you know of someone who goes the extra mile for a special cause - it doesn't matter how big or how small - they could be our next Fundraiser of the Year.
You can nominate individuals or groups and we will be sending one person - plus their guest - to London to represent our region, where they will be in with a chance of being named ITV Fundraiser of the Year.
Previous regional winners include Sergio Petrucci, a Sunderland dad who has raised millions for cardiac equipment off the back of his daughter's own life-saving heart surgery.

The 2024 Tyne Tees winner set up a cardiac care charity in a bid to show his thanks to the medical professionals who operated on his daughter Luna in 2015.
The Red Sky Foundation has since raised millions of pounds and provided hundreds of defibrillators in the community.
ITV presenter Ben Shephard is a Pride of Britain Awards judge and has been sharing what the panel looks for from the regional fundraisers.
"I think the things that are hugely important is finding someone who is absolutely invested in their community, that has gone above and beyond for the people around them, without doubt has put themselves in a position where they have created an extraordinary movement with the charity endeavour that they've done and really just because they have a huge passion for the people around them, the community they live in," he said, adding: "[Someone who has] done everything they can to try and change the lives of those people that they live alongside.'

You can nominate someone for the ITV News Tyne Tees Regional Fundraiser of the Year Award by clicking here.
Select "ITV Fundraiser of the Year" in the award category and choose "Tyne Tees" as your region.
You can nominate individuals or groups of people but only one person and their guest can represent the region at the Pride of Britain Awards in London.Nominees must be aged 18 or over and be available to be filmed and have their fundraising story told on ITV Regional News.If you are under the age of 18 please get permission from a parent or guardian before you nominate.Nominations are now open and close at 11.59pm on Sunday 10 August.

Reason why hit Sean Bean drama Shardlake isn't returning for season 2 Shardlake is set to air on ITV for the first time tonight. Despite garnering glowing reviews, Shardlake won't be back for a second series. The historical drama makes its ITV debut tonight and is adapted from CJ Sansom's acclaimed novel series, starting with Dissolution. The show masterfully weaves fact and fiction, setting its narrative in the tumultuous era of King Henry VIII. Premiering on Disney Plus in 2024, Shardlake now occupies the prime 9pm slot on ITV1, offering an alternative to Maya Jama's Love Island premiere. Starring Sean Bean from Game of Thrones fame, Arthur Hughes as the Tudor lawyer Matthew Shardlake, and Anthony Boyle, the series delves into a gripping mystery. Thomas Cromwell (played by Sean) entrusts Shardlake with solving a murder linked to a monastery's closure, alongside his assistant Jack Barak (Anthony). The announcement of its discontinuation came this January, concurrent with the end of superhero comedy Extraordinary, as a Disney Plus representative informed Variety: "Disney+ Original series Extraordinary will not be returning for a third season on the service. "We're so proud of the hilarious, award-winning series brought to life by the incredibly talented British and Irish cast and crew, our production partners at Sid Gentle Films, and the exceptional writing talent of creator Emma Moran. "Disney+ Original series, Shardlake will also not be returning for a second season on the service. "We'd like to thank Stephen Butchard who adapted the late C.J. Sansom's beloved novel for the screen, the entire cast – led by the outstanding Arthur Hughes – and crew, and our production partners The Forge and Runaway Fridge. "We hope to work with all of our partners across these shows again in the future." Following Dissolution, the Shardlake novel series continued with Dark Fire, Sovereign, Revelation, Heartstone, Lamentation and Tombland, which was released in 2018. Despite his diagnosis with multiple myeloma in 2012, author Sansom continued writing and planning for future books. In a 2010 interview with The Guardian, he mused: "It would be nice to carry on into Elizabeth's time, and have someone I actually like on the throne. Shardlake meets Elizabeth in Heartstone, when she's just 11. By the time she comes to the throne, he will be long in the tooth and so will I, but I'd like to develop their relationship." However, he sadly died in April 2024 in a hospice near his home in Brighton at the age of 71. Shardlake began streaming on Disney+ just a week after his death.
