A STUNNING Scots spa hotel set in 22 acres has been named one of the best in the UK.
Tripadvisor's Traveller's Choice Awards are based on genuine feedback from guests who have visited and left a first-hand review over a 12-month period.

And Houstoun House, in West Lothian, has been recognised in the honours after gaining consistently high ratings from guests.
The country, four star hotel has sweeping grounds which provide the perfect backdrop for a relaxing trip.
Just 40 minutes' drive from Edinburgh, the home-from-home was once visited by Mary Queen of Scots.
Inside the hotel, there are 73 rooms which blend luxury and character, with antique-filled feature bedrooms at the top of the tower offering an atmospheric experience.
Reviews praised Houstoun House - which is part of the Macdonald Hotels and Resorts portfolio - for its picturesque views, beautiful gardens, attentive service, fine food and warm, welcoming atmosphere.
As well as beautiful bedrooms, it boasts a tranquil spa and fully equipped leisure club, a fine-dining restaurant located in the historic 16th century tower and a vaulted bar in the hotel's characterful cellars.

Visitors will learn all about the past 40 years of monster-hunting science, while using cutting-edge sonar equipment to search the loch's inky depths for themselves. CalMac Ferries They say the journey is half the fun, and nowhere is that more true than with Caledonian MacBrayne. Whether it is a short trip to Arran or Bute, or a grand Outer Hebrides adventure, island-hopping offers an exciting slice of Scottish magic for the entire family. The airline will offer the twice weekly service to Paris Charles de Gaulle airport from October 27, with flights taking off on Mondays and Fridays. The first flight to leave at 1.15pm and land in Paris at 4.10pm. The flights will run until the first week in January then stop briefly until February 2 and will then run until March 20, 2026. For those heading into Paris from Charles de Gaulle, the city centre is only half an hour away.
