'It's in our bones': Orlando Pirates unveil 2025/26 season kits!

Orlando Pirates are now officially pre-season ready after unveiling their new home and away kits for next season.
Pirates will wear their tradition colours next season, with a black home kit and return to a white away jersey.
This represents the first time the white jersey returns since the 2022/23 season, the first under former coach Jose Riveiro. In the previous two seasons, although they kept the season traditional black, they experiment with the away colours. In the 2023/24 season they went light green while last season was a shade of blue. The Pirates purist will now be happy with a move back to their traditions.
Pirates took to their various social media platforms on Tuesday morning to unveil the two jersey's. They did so under the slogan 'It's in our bones' a clear reference to their skull and bones logo. As per the club's post on their official 'X' account, the new kit will be available in stores in exactly a months time. Take a look at them below!
They're, however, set to begin their pre-season on the 7th of July and jet off to Spain again for their preparations. It will be interesting to see if they wear their new strip there or opt to wear an older strip like their first trip. Pirates confirmed fixtures against English side Bolton Wanderers and Pafos FC of Cyprus. They will then also take on familiar opposition in Granada FC and UD Las Palmas FC.
Their first game will be played against Bolton, a historic English side that has slipped down the divisions over time. This game represents a pattern after another lower league English side in Plymouth was included last season. Pirates will then play Cyprus champions Pafos just two days later. They will then finish off their tour with two Spanish sides in Las Palmas on the 17th of July as well as Granada just two days later.
Those games in Spain will also represent new coach Abdeslam Ouaddou with his first chance of coaching Pirates. Buccaneers what do you make of the new kits? Are they a hit or are they a miss? REVEALED: When new Kaizer Chiefs signing will arrive at the club!

Kaizer Chiefs have reportedly agreed their fifth transfer of the window, beating strong opposition to secure the player's signature. Chiefs are working overtime to ensure they have different fortunes in terms of their attacking output next season. On Tuesday, this publication reported that Chiefs had secured the signature of Ethan Chislett. The playmaker was previous based in the UK, playing English League One football for Port Vale. His contract with the club is set to expire at the end of the month and he decided not to renew it. This as the side found themselves relegated to the League Two. Furthermore, several clubs both abroad and Chiefs were placed on high alert on his availability. Clubs like Scottish Premiership side Motherwell as well as English League One outfit Wigan reportedly tried to keep him in Europe. However, it is believed that Chislett had long had his sights on a return to South Africa, his homeland. It was subsequently no surprise then that he rejected the above opportunities in favour of a move to Chiefs instead. It is thought that he has indeed, put pen to paper on a two year deal with Amakhosi. Now according to iDiski Times , Chislett is expected at their Naturena training village as early as this week! 'Chislett is set to have rejected approaches in the second-tier in England, with the player keen to ply his trade in South Africa and break into the senior national team. Sources within the Amakhosi technical team have confirmed the player will arrive in the country on Thursday to start life with the Soweto giants. He netted 16 goals with 13 assists in 168 games for Vale and AFC Wimbledon respectively over the past five seasons.' Wrote the publication. Watch: Pirates coach Ouaddou speaks about signing Sipho Mbule

Orlando Pirates announced Sipho Mbule as their first signing of the transfer window earlier on Tuesday. Pirates took to their social media to confirm the signing of former Mamelodi Sundowns starMbule. 'Orlando Pirates is pleased to welcome Sipho Mbule to the Club. #OrlandoPirates #OnceAlways' Is what the club wrote in a short post on their official 'X' account. Mbule joins Pirates aș a free agent, this after parting ways with Sundowns. The 27-year-old saw an option on his deal not exercised by the Brazilians, after they had loaned him out to Sekhukhune United. The player showed flashes of brilliance during his time at BaBina Nako. But he was ultimately released early by the club due to ill discipline. After that, his agent Mike Makaab publicly stated that he had offered Mbule to Kaizer Chiefs . But as time passed, there seemed to be no headway with regards to that deal. Now, out of nowhere, it was their arch rivals Pirates who stole a march and announced him swiftly. It now remains to be seen how many years he has signed on for at the Buccaneers. Having signed, an old clip has resurfaced on social media of new Pirates coach Abdeslam Ouaddou talking up Mbule. 'Another player, I love him, his style of play. And I know that maybe his behaviour is not so good, but I think it's a question of management. These players need management, somebody to be close to them. To make them understand that they are good players, but they have to manage their lifestyle, it's Mbule. Mbule is a fantastic player, it's the kind of player I'd like to have in my team.' Ouaddou said on the clip on MSW with Robert Marawa.. Watch the clip below. Pirates fans are you happy that your new coach seems to understand what he is getting Mbule? What are your hopes for this partnership? Let us know by clicking on the comment tab.
