Europcar Oman & Bahrain proudly hosted Travelex, the world's leading travel exchange company, for the induction program of its 20 newest team members. The event recently took place at Europcar's state-of-the-art headquarters in Muscat, setting a new benchmark for corporate hospitality and employee engagement experiences in the region.
Travelex selected Europcar HQ not only for its professional infrastructure but also for its unique lifestyle amenities. The Boardroom, equipped with advanced audio-visual capabilities, offered an ideal setting to impress and onboard the new team members with a dynamic and inspiring atmosphere.

CBO announces auction results of 76th GDB issue

Muscat: The Central Bank of Oman (CBO) on Wednesday announced the Auction results of the 76th Government Development Bonds (GDB) issue worth OMR90 million. According to a media release issued by CBO's Market Operations Department, the 76th GDB Issue, which received overwhelming response from investors, has received applications amounted OMR189,051,000. The average yield was 4.32 percent at an equivalent price of OMR100.135, while the highest yield was 4.34 percent at an equivalent price of OMR100.045 and the lowest was at 4.28 percent at an equivalent price of OMR100.310. The 5-year Bond will be issued on Sunday 24 August 2025 and it will mature on 24 August 2030, carrying a coupon rate of 4.35 % p.a.

Second Consumer Protection Forum kicks off in Salalah

Salalah: The deliberations of the second Consumer Protection Forum commenced on Wednesday at the Sultan Qaboos Youth Compound for Culture and Entertainment in Salalah. Organized by the Directorate General of Consumer Protection in Dhofar Governorate under the title "Pillars and Rights of the Tourist and Resident," the forum will continue for two days. Representatives of regulatory and service units in the governorate are participating in the forum, including Dhofar Municipality and the Consumer Protection Authority, alongside representatives of civil society and interested individuals. The forum's programme included a visual presentation on the efforts of consumer protection and the services it provides, in addition to a dialogue session featuring specialists from regulatory and service entities. The session addressed issues of oversight, consumer awareness, and means of protecting consumer rights, aiming to enhance awareness of these rights and the integration of institutional and community efforts in this field.
