Celtic was my start – but Falkirk is where I'm thriving

For Miller, who has racked up a superb 11 goals and 11 assists this season, there's no suggestion that the pressure has derailed their focus going into this pivotal home clash against struggling Hamilton Academical.
'Not at all,' the 27-year-old said when asked if recent form had sparked concern. 'Maybe just doing a wee bit more defending because we have been conceding a lot in the last couple of minutes of games. So, maybe that aspect of it. But obviously the main focus is going on winning the next game.'
That single-minded mindset has typified a Falkirk side revitalised under McGlynn's leadership—and Miller has been at the heart of it. The former Celtic academy product is one of two Bairns stars, along with midfielder Brad Spencer, nominated for the PFA Scotland Championship Player of the Year award.
Pressed if it's been the best campaign of his career, Miller said: 'Aye, I think it's just continuing from my form last season and consistency. I'm enjoying my football and it's showed again when we've moved up again. I would say I'm playing my best football here at Falkirk.
"It's about doing the same things consistently and I suppose it's just shown on the pitch."

Miller's journey to becoming one of the Championship's standout performers has been anything but linear. After spells in England with Harrogate Town, Notts County, and Chesterfield, he returned north and found a spark at Morton. But it was his 2023 switch to Falkirk that he calls the turning point.
'It absolutely revived my career again,' he admitted. 'Because I'd obviously went down south and stuff and I never went down with my family, I was there myself and I wanted home a lot.
'Then I came back up and after playing in the Scottish leagues again I've felt revived. I was at Morton, I done well there and thought where am I going to go here?
'Then John [McGlynn] the gaffer at Falkirk said their football suited me to a T. I know I had to move down a league again to move back up but the whole aim was to play attractive football and get a big club like Falkirk to the Championship—and that's essentially what we done in my first season here.'
Last season saw Miller earn Team of the Year honours in League One, and he's only kicked on since then. The motivation, he says, remains simple: prove himself and keep pushing forward to "reap the benefits" of what the entire squad has been doing to put themselves in such a positive position.
McGlynn's message for the finale at the Falkirk Stadium? It's been the same all season: win.
'Win our next game,' Miller said. 'We've been so consistent throughout the whole season, we look to win every game. We wouldn't be going into a game looking for draws or anything like that. I don't think we ever have the full entire time this season. It's always been about trying to win every game and that's what we've been doing.'
With a handful of Scottish Premiership appearances from his Celtic days, Miller knows what lies ahead if Falkirk finish the job on Friday—and he's desperate for a return to that stage.

Former Celtic and Scotland hero Leigh Griffiths signs for little-known club in Australian second division at age 34

His new club will be the ninth different team he has played for NEW CLUB Former Celtic and Scotland hero Leigh Griffiths signs for little-known club in Australian second division at age 34 FORMER Celtic star Leigh Griffiths is on the move again. The 34-year-old had spent the last three years playing for semi-professional outfit Mandurah City in Western Australia, stepping into a player-coach role for the 2024 season. But his career in Scottish football ended on a sour note and he departed for Australia in August 2022. Griffiths was loaned out to Dundee during his final contract year with Celtic but his stint was overshadowed by him kicking a smoke bomb into the crowd during a match. He later joined Falkirk as a free agent but left after only six months, scoring twice in 12 games for the club who were then in the third tier. Toulouse edge Bordeaux Begles in extra-time thriller to secure third straight Top 14 title

Toulouse claimed their third consecutive Top 14 title and a record-extending 24th French championship by beating Bordeaux Begles 39-33 after extra time in a dramatic final on Saturday. Thomas Ramos kicked two penalties in the last five minutes for Toulouse after Bordeaux's Maxime Lucu had converted a penalty on the hooter to take the game into extra time at 33-33. A try from Anthony Jelonch and a brace from Jack Willis put champions Toulouse in control of the match but Damian Penaud, Matthieu Jalibert and Guido Petti also crossed the tryline to keep Bordeaux in touch. Petti and Pierre Bochaton were handed yellow cards and Toulouse, missing talisman Antoine Dupont, won their 11th consecutive final, a year after routing Bordeaux Begles 59-3 in the title match. After Toulouse and Bordeaux traded penalties, the holders capitalised on Petti's yellow card to score the opening try when Jelonch found a gap in the defence. Bordeaux responded quickly, however, when Penaud latched on to Maxime Lucu's kick to touch down. Willis restored Toulouse's lead with a powerful finish from a driving maul just before halftime and the English flanker crossed for a second try after Jalibert had dotted down under the posts for Bordeaux. Lock Petti kept the game alive when he went over from a wide position for Bordeaux before Lucu sent the game into extra time. France internationals Romain Ntamack and Louis Bielle-Biarrey did not reappear after halftime, the former due to a shoulder injury and the latter who was playing his first match after suffering a concussion.

Celtic's Johnny Kenny asking price revealed as English club told to increase bid to land for-sale star

Kenny will be allowed to go at the right price and if Brendan Rodgers finds a replacement. Sign up for the Celtic newsletter Sign up 1 Johnny Kenny celebrates scoring against Aberdeen this season Credit: Kenny Ramsay League One outfit Wanderers are in at around £500,000 but Celts want them to double their offer before they consider letting the Irishman leave Parkhead. Kenny shone during a loan spell with Shamrock Rovers in the first half of last season and bagged 20 goals. He enjoyed a rich vein of form in the Conference League, which persuaded Rodgers to bring him back after January. The 22-year-old broke into the first-team squad towards the end of the season and scored his first Hoops goal in a 5-1 win at Aberdeen. But he is still behind Daizen Maeda and Adam Idah in the pecking order, with Celts also keen on a move for Kawasaki Frontale attacker Shin Yamada. New Swedish signing Benjamin Nygren, who arrived last week in a £2million deal from Nordsjaelland, can also play up top. Meanwhile, Liverpool are ready to throw former Celtic winger Ben Doak into a swap deal for England star Marc Guehi. The Anfield club's transfer team are focusing on centre-half Guehi as their next target, but Palace want in the region of £50m. Scotland star Doak is fancied by Palace and rated in the £25m bracket, despite his limited appearances outside a loan spell at Middlesbrough. Liverpool would send Doak and cash to Selhurst Park to get Guehi, but that will still take a great deal of negotiating. The diggers move in as Celtic Park pitch is dug up Palace supremo Steve Parish is renowned for standing firm on his valuations, so the Kop would have to offer a significant amount of cash as an adjustment. Everton are also keen on Doak but not at the £25m mark, with the player waiting on word about his future. Meanwhile, Guehi is letting his deal run down but has been relatively lowly paid at Palace for some time — with money not his driving force.
