'It is easy to use, great charging which lasts for a while!'
With the weather becoming warmer, those taking part in outdoor events such as festivals need to make sure they have a way to keep cool while in the middle of a crowd. At the moment, the Met Office is predicting a high of 20 degrees for the first day (July 11) of the TRNSMT festival in Glasgow.
In order to help tackle the heat, one essential item festival goers may want to bring is a handheld fan. With its compact size, users can easily slip it in and out of their bag or pocket when they need to cool down for a bit.
One popular device on Amazon is the HandFan Portable Handheld Fan, which is currently retailing for £21.99. Now while this fan is already practical as a handy way to keep cool, this device also comes with the added bonus of being a portable charger.
Perfect for a range of activities such as camping, travelling, watching sporting events and concerts, or even just using it while at your desk at work, this handheld fan will quickly become a shopper's must-have companion in the warm weather.
Boasting a foldable design, shoppers can adjust the angle of the fan from 0 to 180 degrees. This device also comes with three fan speeds that all generate a strong airflow that is said to cool you down in just a few seconds. From a full charge, this fan is said to offer up to 20 hours of airflow depending on the speed used.
The best feature of this fan is that it comes with a 5200mAh power bank at the handle of the device. This can easily be taken off to be used as an emergency portable charger if your phone suddenly runs out of charge in the middle of a festival or when you're going about your daily routine.

Another popular fan on Amazon is the Jsdoin Hand Held Fan, which retails for £17.99. Available in white, blue or green, this rechargeable fan comes with five adjustable wind speeds and is said to offer a battery life that lasts 20 per cent longer than other handheld fans.
Alternatively, Argos is selling the Bush Handheld & Foldable Desk Fan for their 'lowest price' of £12. Available in black, pink, white and blue, this 4-inch fan comes with three speed settings and an adjustable tilt so shoppers can use it hands free on a desk.
Back to the HandFan, the 2-in-1 device currently has 4.6 star rating from over 9,700 Amazon shoppers, with 300 people buying the device in the last month to try and beat the heat.
One thrilled shopper said: "Absolutely love this fan! It is easy to use, great charging which lasts for a while! I recommend this to everyone who asks me... it's like i am a rep for this fan at this point."
With another five-star reviewer adding: "Really good product. I've had this for a few weeks now and only charged it once. Great speed settings and it's little but powerful. Does not interrupt my partner sleep during the night whilst using it as the noise level is low."
However, not everyone was fully impressed by the handheld fan. One person noted: "A nice idea but much too noisy, especially on higher settings."
While another shopper suggested: "The only thing that would make it perfect where if the head could swivel and there were a mist option."
On the flip side, a top reviewer wrote: "I now wouldn't be without this fan. Fantastic for concerts keeping me cool in crowds and on the tube as well as having the functionality to charge my phone. A lot of people have commented how they wish they had this. Relatively quiet but cools me down in an instant."
With a sixth shopper sharing how they found the fan: "I came across this fan whilst a lady used it next to me at a party. The fan was on for most of the event and it just kept going and going! I had to take a picture of it from the lady and purchase one for myself as she said she had bought hers from Amazon and she's had it for four years."

Portable steamer ‘perfect' for home and travel now reduced by 20% to £27.99

Portable steamer 'perfect' for home and travel now reduced by 20% to £27.99 Creases be gone without a fight with an ironing board and now cheaper to buy Banish creases the easy way (Image: Amazon/ Rolipo) Some people don't mind wandering out into public wearing creased clothes, but some people are not happy about it at all, whether they're at home or on holiday. It can be time consuming and sometimes even a challenge to fight with an iron board to banish the creases, and if you're on holiday it can be even more tricky to find the equipment you need, while on a business trip, when making a first impression is vital, it makes it even more important. The Rolipo handheld steamer is a product that could be the answer, described as 'perfect' by one happy customer, and now reduced by 20% from £34.99 to £27.99 on Amazon. READ MORE: Karcher 'portable and powerful' pressure washer now under £50 for a limited time YOU MIGHT ALSO LIKE: 'Excellent' portable BBQ that 'pays for itself after a few uses' now reduced by 23% on Amazon Rolipo Clothes Steamer reduced by 20% from £34.99 to £27.99 on Amazon (Image: Amazon/ Rolipo) The manufacturer states that the Rolipo handheld steamer has been designed for versatility, and delivers consistent steam for various materials including silk wool, cotton, and denim, and with no setting changes needed. The large-capacity tank supports up to 15 minutes of uninterrupted steaming, ideal for tackling multiple garments in one go, without frequent refills. The 2.1-metre cord also allows easy movement around your clothes rail or curtains—no need to stay close to the plug socket while the unit itself is compact and easy to store or pack in a suitcase and take with you. Blouse before and after being steamed (Image: Amazon/ Rolipo) One five-star reviewer says: "Great steamer, easy to use. Very good quality steamer. Heats up fast, removes wrinkles quickly, and is easy to handle. Perfect for daily use and travel" while another comments: " It heats up really fast, has a large water tank, and can be used vertically or horizontally. The locking trigger is a thoughtful touch. It worked well on cotton shirts and trousers, upholstery, and is a great companion for holidays." Alternatives to the steamer are the Russell Hobbs Steam Genie 27220 Garment Steamer priced £34 from Argos and described as 'doing the job well' and the BREVILLE Elite Diamond Ceramic Clothes Steamer in black and copper costing £49.99 after a £50 reduction from Currys. Water tank has 400ml capacity (Image: Amazon/ Rolipo) But the Rolipo handheld steamer has impressed one customer with a specific health condition, who was initially sceptical but then over-joyed, saying: "Thought it was a gimmick but now I use it more than the iron. It's much more convenient than getting the iron out, and then the ironing board. Then putting everything back. I have carpal tunnel in my wrist and avoided getting one years ago as they were too heavy. But now they are much lighter for me to use. Lighter than the iron. Brilliant." However one buyer was not so happy, saying: "Larger and heavier than I expected. Would have taken quite a bit of room in my carry-on luggage. Needed something smaller, had to return. Would be perfect for home use rather than travel, unless you're checking in a bag." Another customer was not convinced the steamer can tackle thicker fabrics, commenting: "Bought to steam bridal party dresses and it was a waste of money". Heats up in 30 seconds according to the manufacturer (Image: Amazon/ Rolipo) Article continues below But one customer who has awarded the Rolipo handheld steamer five stars as part of their glowing review says: "It has become an essential part of my daily routine. Its rapid heat-up time and consistent steam output make smoothing out creases on various fabrics effortless. "The 400ml water tank allows for extended use without frequent refills, and the continuous steam function means I don't have to constantly press a button. Its lightweight and compact design make it perfect for travel, ensuring I look polished wherever I go."

Fallout gets season 2 update with Amazon Prime release window confirmed

Fallout was a smash hit on Amazon Prime Video when the video game adaptation debuted last year. The nuclear disaster drama became the second-most-watched series of all time on the streaming platform, totaling 65million viewers in its first 16 days of release, quickly earning a season two renewal. In a streaming landscape where the only show that seems to return year in, year out is The Bear (albeit with diminishing returns) Amazon has even confirmed the post-apocalyptic adventure will be back in the year after we last it. The release window has been set for this December, with a new poster providing fans a first look at the returning cast of characters. The official Amazon Prime Video account posted the promotional picture to X, showing Lucy (Ella Purnell), Ghoul (Walton Goggins), canine Dogmeat and Maximus (Aaron Moten) walking underneath the infamous Las Vegas welcome sign – now dilapidated and titled 'New' Vegas. 'Time for a little road trip. We're heading back to the Wasteland this December,' the caption read, not quite sharing the actual release date just yet. To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video TV viewers are already beside themselves with excitement at the idea of returning to the nuclear Wasteland, with @RandomGoomba commenting beneath the poster: 'Start filming season 3 now. This show is gold.' The show has a near-perfect score on review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes, currently sitting at 93% – so what can fans expect from its second outing? Good things, according to Walton Goggins. The actor was mid-filming the show earlier this year when he told Deadline: 'Season one was extraordinary, personally, I was very pleased with it. '[Season two] blows it out of the water, what these writers have done and the artisans that have come together to tell this story. It's really gonna be something. I can't wait for people to see it. We're working really hard to make that happen.' More Trending Ella Purnell, who plays wide-eyed, blue-suited Lucy, last year said she was already trying to psyche herself up for filming the psychically-gruelling episodes. In October, she told Variety: 'My only preparation so far is that I'm attempting to work out – and that's just me knowing that in six months I'm going to be running up a hill 500 times and trying not to have asthma attack.' Scots in Benidorm issued 'red alert' summer warning

Benidorm is hugely popular with UK tourists Scots and other holidaymakers in Benidorm have been issued an urgent warning, with the summer season now in full swing and plenty of families having jetted off abroad. Benidorm, in Alicante, is hugely popular with tourists, and thousands of people head there each year. ‌ And while Spain's warmer weather is one of its major draws, a scorching heatwave currently means the country is sweltering in extreme temperatures. Alicante is amongst the worst-affected regions and Spain's national weather agency AEMET has issued a "red alert" for travellers today, reports the Liverpool Echo. ‌ A translation of the post read: "RED WARNINGS. Very high maximum temperatures on Monday 18 in the following areas. Southern Alicante coast: 42C or more. Vega del Segura (Murcia): 44C or more. ‌ "Although temperatures will drop in the Peninsula, the heat will still be very intense in the southeast." The Met Office is predicting temperatures reaching 40C in Benidorm today. However, the "feels like temperature" is forecast for 49C at 3pm and 4pm for the Spanish resort. Wildfires have torn through Spain following the extreme heat. Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez sent 500 troops yesterday to help tackle the fires. The choice to deploy additional personnel alongside the more than 1,400 soldiers already battling wildfires emerged as officials grappled to control forest infernos, particularly in the north-western Galicia region, whilst awaiting promised aircraft reinforcements from fellow European nations. Emergency crews were confronting 12 major wildfires across Galicia, all situated near Ourense city, according to the Galician regional government. Officials stated: "Homes are still under threat so we have lockdowns in place and are carrying out evacuations." Holidaymakers who are already in, or heading to, Spain should remain alert to health dangers from exposure to scorching temperatures. The NHS has issued guidance on managing extreme heat conditions. Health bosses warned: "The main risks posed by a heatwave are: "Not drinking enough water (dehydration). Overheating, which can make symptoms worse for people who already have problems with their heart or breathing. Heat exhaustion and heatstroke." Experts advise: "Keep out of the heat if you can. If you have to go outside, stay in the shade especially between 11am and 3pm, wear sunscreen, a hat and light clothes, and avoid exercise or activity that makes you hotter. "Cool yourself down. Have cold food and drinks, avoid alcohol, caffeine and hot drinks, and have a cool shower or put cool water on your skin or clothes. "Keep your living space cool. Close windows during the day and open them at night when the temperature outside has gone down. Electric fans can help if the temperature is below 35 degrees. Check the temperature of rooms, especially where people at higher risk live and sleep."
